I enjoyed everything about my week here; the hotel is bright, beautifully maintained, has fantastic views across the bay, beach and hills and I was made to feel very welcome. Manager Vincenzo was so helpful and friendly; I was really happy here. I was working remotely at times and wifi was reliable and my double room had a desk. I upgraded from a single as every double has a great view (the single is economical but no view) The hotel is minutes from a bus stop that connects to 4 handy routes which I used all week to explore the island. I also ran or walked the coast road to Forio and back each morning which was an easy enjoyable and picturesque route. I’m not a fan of the Italian beach clubs that push beds close together but Citara beach has plenty of open sand so I loved it there, plus some excellent places to eat. The hill from hotel to beach isn’t far and it’s is good exercise…needed as food in Ischia is great, though bus no’2 goes from the beach to the hotel if you don’t fancy it!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy Italian-style hotel. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we had a wonderful view from the balcony. It was easy to get around on the Island with busses going frequently and with bus stops close to the hotel.

We have no real complains - the hotel and the staff were so excellent! But a coffey maker in the room or in the reception for the guests to use, would have been perfect. The breakfast could also been one hour longer in the weekends.

Hospitality, hotel ambiance, location exceeded expectations. It was undoubtedly a professionally managed hotel yet there was the keen sense of family hospitality. We did not have the Half Board arrangement but had supper one evening on the terrace and enjoyed the splendid sea air and views from the hotel's hill location. Food and service were very agreeable. Breakfast served indoors with good sized windows facing the sea, was also enjoyable - again, service and food (plus variety) were good.

The hotel has some of the best views in Italy - truly magical. Situated near Forio (10 min coastal walk), also a beach nearby down the hill along with Poseidon thermal spa which is the most perfect day out. Seeing is believing! All the hotel staff we’re extremely polite and welcoming, so helpful with booking transfers, boat days etc. What we would normally expect at 5* luxe hotel. Book now!

The decor and rooms are a little dated but to be honest, the price reflects this, and overall it adds to the charm of the place. It feels very kitsch and cool.

The staff were all so friendly and always more than happy to help if we had any queries. The room was a good size and very neat. The views from the balcony were stunning. Location was perfect. We used bus to get around the entire island - everywhere accessible via bus, very cheap, and can buy tickets at hotel reception. The pool is beautiful, big and plenty of deck chairs are readily available. Food at the hotel was also very tasty and nice views whilst eating breakfast. Really impressed with this hotel and would highly recommend

The location is exceptional and the view even better. You can walk easily to the main road for frequent public busses in both directions. You can also walk to Poseidon Terme or just to Cetara Beach town with many restaurants and beach. We had excellent meals at Molo 82 at Cetara Beach. Dinners at Forio's O' Romantico and Bella Napoli Pizzeria both in town on the main beach road. We came to Ischia for the thermal waters and so went on separate days via the public bus to Negombo, Poseidon and Castiglione. All were wonderful each in their own way. Can't decide if there was "a better". They are each worth a whole day and you won't be sorry! Our room #121 had a generously- sized terrace where we enjoyed sunsets every evening. This was a very nice room. The owner/ managers at the desk were exceptionally helpful in many ways as we needed cabs, advice on weather or directions to the various places we wanted to visit. Always attentive, helpful, caring we had the info we needed. You will be in good hands.

We didn't know the bathroom water in the room is non- potable! There is a small fridge so we could buy water outside and bring it back. The bathroom lighting could be a lot brighter. The breakfast was adequate.

Amazing view over the Citara bay. Good location to explore Forio, the gardens, thermal spas, etc. Nice walk to Forio and the bus stop is very close as well. Very helpful staff. Good continental breakfast and good a la carte dinner options. Nice swimming pool. I would stay here again.

It is located on the top of a hill, so it is a bit of climb to come back from the beach. Not an issue for me, but something to consider in case of reduced mobility.

True to the pictures which attracted us in first place, Hotel Capizzo provided a very pleasant stay for our family. The reception gave us sea-view rooms next to one another without even having to ask for, paid good attention during our stay, and were even super kind to post forgotten items after we left. The beaches are a nice sunny walk away, with a gentle bit of uphill - much needed for the unavoidable caloric surplus. Good breakfast and ok restaurant, with top alternatives nearby, like 'Da Vito'. Great location. Walking distance from a lovely beach. They have a thermal pool which is awesome and clean. View from the hotel's restaurant is simply breathtaking. Our room had a sitting area with a view. Really nice. The staff are nice and helpful.

The building's interior, while very nice and clean, is a bit passe. It's not chic or trendy. But who cares

The pool and location were great, The gentlemen on reception were so attentive and helpful nothing was a problem. The proximity to the poisedon thermal park was fantastic, we spent a day there which was a great experience would definitely recommend. We appreciated the beach towels we got for the period of our stay. Overall the hotel was good value for what we paid.

There really wasn't anything I didn't like perhaps a suggestion in the evening some background music on the terrace might add further ambience as the views and sunsets are really beautiful.
