The room was like in the picture, it was very clean - they clean it every day. The reception girls were nice, they gave as all the directions we needed to plan the day. Hotel has a pool and it's own little beach - but we didn't end up using it. We also had breakfast in the hotel - it's was basic Italian breakfast - croissants, little cakes etc. We stayed for dinner only once - the food was nice, but you have only two options for meals. The staff was nice and friendly.

The breakfast only lasts for one hour and a half (8.00 until 9.30),which was quite early for us. Hotel has its own beach, but it wasn't clean at all (tons of grass, you couldn't really lay there). Wish they would make it a bit more kept. . You also have to pay additional for AC in the room.

This took me back in time to a quaint oldie worldie type of hotel. The facilities were great with a plunge pool, indoor relaxation pool, hot tub and steps down to a small beach. Staff were helpful and it was a 10 minute walk to the famous Poseidon hot springs spa. They offered an inexpensive evening meal with a small choice between set dishes, but a large number of local restaurants nearby should you require a greater choice.

Breakfast was mediocre with the usual sliced cake, sliced meats and cheeses. A selection of fruit and yoghurt. Juices were not fresh, they were concentrate from a machine, which wasn't great. There is a nice terrace outside the breakfast room, where you could finish off by taking your coffee, but they would not allow any food to pass the door (Guarded). So, no coffee and cake on the terrace. Around the resort, there were so many A4 paper signs dotted around the walls, all with various rules to adhere to. I felt like I was back at school. Lastly, beware if the weather is warm, there is a 5 Euro per person per night charge to use the Air Conditioning in the room, you hire the controller from reception! If you want a mini fridge, it's 5 euros per room per night.

Amazing place for quiet vacation. Hotel is clean, territory very colour, rooms are clean and receptions were very nice and welcoming especially Valentina (I hope it’s right person because I’m bad at remembering names). Small beach just above hotel was great addition to everything. Great choice of hotel and great price. Also great views for sunsets. Thank you!

Breakfast buffet could have more options of cheese and vegetables and better coffee machine, maybe also juice instead of soda with juice taste. But can’t say it’s a big minus because you can simply eat in near cafe and not obligated to pay for breakfast.

Excellent hotel, close to shop and cafe, very well conncected with Forio, Ischia Porto and Casamicciole. Bus stop is 20m from the hotel, so you can get everywhere you want. View from balcony - like a dream! I loved stairs to the beach, it was clean and safe. The staff is very helpful, especially reception staff, they are always ready to help you!

Aircondition, pool towels, bath hats and fridge should just be included in the price instead of making them as add ons - I’d prefer the prices being increased slightly instead and then those basics included in the price

Such a great place to stay. Loved the stunning views from 'water view' rooms, direct stair access to a small beach shared with neighbouring establishments, thermal bath, pool area & sun loungers, breakfast & half board option and just the general feel of the place. Non pretentious and authentic. Perfect location - walk down to restaurants and other amenities.

The photos are in need of an update, the actual hotel is much nicer and the pictures do not do it justice. The food in the hotel was very good with a good variety of dishes.

Perfect stay at the Island of Ischia. A delightful rather smaller hotel, charming as a bit "out of time". Extremely friendly staff - reception, restaurant, cleaning service!!!! Room decor a bit older but everything super clean. Had room 510 with a small terrace right by the sea - a dream. Small beach, beautiful pool, all very well maintained. In any case, half board is recommended - excellent cuisine, very varied, fresh and down to earth - wonderful! Great praise to the chef!!! Perfect location, very quiet, bus stops right in front of the hotel, Giardini Terme Poseidon 10 min walking distance, to Forio nice 20 mins walk along the promenade. A car is not necessary as the public buses run regularly. THX for a very relaxing week at Riva del Sole - will be back for sure.

some hard mattresses, but when I reported it at the reception it was promptly replaced THX for that :) Possibly the time of dinner could be extended by half an hour.

We had a wonderful holiday at hotel Riva del Sol. The most we apreciated that they cleaned the room every day, the silence, the landscape and the little garden in front of our room. Thank you!

The big wave from the little beach

Excellent hospitality and excellent location! We really love this place. It exceeded our expectations. Room was big, fresh enough, all was in excellent conditions, we don't have any complaints about the room. We are always critical about mattress and pillows, but this time there wasn't any problems to get good rest at night. Location is really fabulous - it was best place on Citara beach for us: not crowded and easy access, available all the day (till 21:00). We purchase additionally air conditioner and the fridge, but price was still very reasonable! We have used pool, thermal pool with hydromassage and jacuzzi. We found it really great place to stay on Ischia.

No complaints, excellent service. Just notice that it is common to get rest on the middle of the day, from 2-4pm :) But it's not about hotel service, it available all day long.
