Definitely one of the best hotel in the area. The view on the sea is amazing, both on the rooftop and in the restaurant. It has a pool on the rooftop which is naturally warmed, and a bar to cool down. The staff is extremely kind and caring, the rooms were so well cleaned everyday.

During one night (national Republic day), it was a bit loud because the walls aren't so thick. But this is not something we will remember

Very nice hotel, located next to the beach, with the stunning view. Nice breakfast, maybe they could and some vegetables, but when we asked for tomato we received it without any problems.

Hotel seems to be little outdated, but this is minor issue.

Hotel Citara was a pleasant stay, the staff were very helpful, there was an excellent spread at breakfast including pastries, bread, cereal, melon, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, cheese, ham. The indoor spa was lovely, and upstairs pool nice too with a view of the sea. Its a 5-10 minute walk away from Posiedon Terme which i would absolutely recommend. The bus (number 2 bus) stops outside the hotel, so easy to get to (quite a long journey from ischia though, but forio is definitely the best more beautiful side of the island!) We had a lovely view of the sunset from our balcony, thanks for a nice stay.

Some of the clientele (no fault of the hotel) were a bit rude to my husband, and they made him move his chair during breakfast for no reason other than they didn't want him sat there. Was not on really! They made us and the staff feel very uncomfortable. Other than that, we had a nice stay.

Nice hotel in a great location on Ischia. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was a balcony with spectacular view, less than 5 minutes walk to the nearest shops, restaurants and beach. Breakfast was ok served from 8-10 but recommend to come earlier then 9 am because the food disappear very quick and there is not much left at that time. Also coffee could be better, not a fan of coffee machines. When it comes to the terrace on the top floor with the bar and swimming pool it was amazing. We enjoyed the time there, the beer and drinks were also great. I very much recommend to stay there because you get what you pay for and even more.

The biggest issue was that you could hear people breathing in the next room - room is not soundproof at all so if you like sleeping longer in the morning it would not be possible, it gets really loud when people are opening and closing doors all the time starting from 6-7 am. But if you are an early bird then it wouldn't be an issue. The second thing is that there is a small smart TV but you can't access Netflix etc. because you need to use your own account, we did not remember our password. TV would help a lot with the noises from neighbors rooms.

great location ne beautiful views. Rooms are extremely clean. Staff were very nice and helpful, especially the housekeeper. Enjoyed the pool and terme. Good breakfast and evening meal

Bar not open in foyer and roof bar served cold coffee/ cappuccinos machine appeared to not be working.

Nice views from our room balcony of the beach and mountains. There is no air-conditioning in the rooms in May, but the sea breeze helped.

Decor is quite dated (like most hotels in Ischia it seems) and mostly for the older demographic and retirees, so we felt a little out of place as a couple in our early 30s. Also, breakfast selection was small and not very good. Also, location of hotel was only close to the Poseidon thermal spa - everything else like Forio town required us to take the bus which could be quite infrequent. Hotel is also a little hard to get back to at night with the buses.
