Great location right in the centre of the village, easy to walk to beaches, shops and restaurants, breakfast was lovely, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Air-con stayed at a consistent temperature all night which is a nice change from most hotels where it always seems to get hotter through the night. There was live music outside one night which was great. Beautiful atmosphere overall

Beds were quite firm, same with the pillows. There are no blockout blinds so gets quite light in the morning when the sun comes up, not a problem per say but just something to keep in mind if you are woken by the light and looking for a sleep in

Perfect location, right in the centre, easy access to all small and beautiful streets in the old town. Big and comfortable room, very big bed. Great breakfast. Little noisy in the evening if you stay the windows open, but you are in the centre so it’s nothing unexpected. With closed it is very quiet. Sofa in the room was very nice.

The parking is free but it’s 10-12 minutes by foot from the hotel, but along the way there is very nice beach to take a quick swim after or before hot day so it wasn’t very big deal because you definitely want to take a swim anyway. And the promenade is very nice as well.

Spent 2 nights at the Hotel Lago di Garda as part of a 10-day road trip around Lake Garda - and it was a brilliant base from which to explore Malcesine and the surrounding area. The room was characterfully traditional, overlooking the town’s tiled roofs and with views of the lake. It was spotlessly clean, had good air con (needed in August!), comfortable beds and the widest breakfast we experienced.

Tip: request a room on the third floor for views but peace and quiet. The hotel building has three distinct businesses - accommodation, a restaurant and a rooftop bar - under one banner. Our room was on the fourth floor - the same as the public roof top bar, which is open to the public and doesn’t shut until 11pm. Its facilities (toilets and kitchen) are located next to the rooms, which generated noise until it closed.

Love the central location of this hotel. My second stay here. Had a nicer room this time with a little balcony. Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast with gluten free bread, eggs, salad, pastries, cheese, cereal and decent coffee from the self serve machine. Guest enjoy 10% off in the restaurant and I had a couple of nice dinners here. The gluten free pizza is very good.

The desk in my room had not been cleaned since the previous guest. I did check in a bit early so perhaps they rushed the clean. Checked my bill after checkout and was annoyed to find a 3 Euro charge for "gluten free" when I had ordered a salad that was already gluten free (?). On another bill I was charged for adding olives to a pizza that I had removed the ham from!

Very nice hotel. It has 4 stars amenities. Lovely staff. Great value for money. Great breakfast and also other meals. The restaurant was always full for diner. Good thing we made a reservation. Loved the decor with the little cars on the hallway.

The air conditioning was loud. It didn't have an option for lower ventilation scale. But we were very tired after being all day out, so we went to sleep easy, despite the AC. But we will come back for another holiday 🥰

Location is incredible! Literally in the centre of the town, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby, as well as the majestic Castle. Across the pebbled street is a beautiful coffee shop too if you want a change of pace from the hotel. Also close proximity to the shoreline of the Lake. Value for money no doubt.

It is a little bit dated inside, however that seemed to be the case around this part of the Lake in general due to the general aesthetic and age of the town. This is not necessarily a negative or a complaint, as I think an extremely modern building would seem slightly out of place in this specific town, however I am purely noting this for other travellers' insight.

This hotel is right in the heart of Malcesine with cafes and where tourists gather. Parking is an uphill 5 minute walk away from the hotel (the hotel provided a parking card at a reduced rate of $10 euro per day), there is a loading zone to drop your suitcases, etc. very close to the hotel entrance for check-in. This was clearly communicated by the hotel staff prior to arrival. This loading zone gets very busy in the morning as the delivery trucks use the same area, but not an issue. Hotel has its own cafe and meal service, so it makes it easy for tired travelers.

Perfect location within Malcesine. All the staff was exceptionally helpful. Probably the best breakfast offering we had in our 4-week trip. Very nice rooftop rest./bar with view of the lake.

No parking on site, but understandable being right at town center. Reasonable option offered 5 mins away walking for 15 eurs/day (plus another free option that involved walking 20 mins along the lake, that we passed on).

Free sparkling water - in the hot weather, it was exactly what we needed. Despite being in the old city center, the hotel was surprisingly quiet; we couldn’t hear the crowds. It was a nice gesture to receive a 10% discount as hotel guests in the restaurant.

Double-check your doors to make sure they’re locked. Once, the system didn’t work and we didn’t realize the doors weren’t actually locked.

Beautiful location, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast - we especially enjoyed the option to sit outside.

Private parking lot is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, but you can unload your luggage in front of the hotel and then park your car. Might be a problem for someone with limited mobility - we definitely didn’t mind the short evening walk, though.
