the location is absolutely perfect! - in the heart of the historical center, it allowed easy access to all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants, making our exploration of the city incredibly convenient. The receptionist Lucca was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He provided great recommendations for local sights and dining options. I also want to highlight the lovely lady - Doina at breakfast. She was not only attentive but also created a warm atmosphere that made our mornings delightful. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes, and her cheerful nature made it even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay in the city. Thank you for a memorable visit!

Absolutely brilliant team of 4 people. We would like to personally thank all 4, the gentleman on reception, the lady who is in charge at breakfast, the lady who helps with breakfast and made sure rooms were very clean, and the lady receptionist. To whoever owns this accommodation, we really hope you appreciate what a superb team you have !!

Beautiful old hotel with lovely old furniture and curiosities around to see and admire. An exceptional location at the heart of the old town. Easy to close out the sound of the night if you want to retire to bed early - great air con. But great to lay and listen to the town and people enjoying themselves too. Peaceful overnight, we did not hear a sound! Cafes, bars, gelateria just outside the door across the cobbled lane. Exceptionally friendly staff, beautiful varied breakfast buffet with everything you can think of to eat and drink. Photos from our bedroom window so you can see the lake was one minute away.

Pillows were a bit uncomfortable but I’m fussy about pillows so maybe being a bit harsh!

The location is great!! In the middle of the town just a few meters away from the lake. No noise at all. The room is simple, but it's clean and has everything you need. Also an elevator in the building to reach the top floors. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. I was leaving very early in the morning, before breakfast was served. No problem for me, but the guy behind the reception made sure I received a breakfast to go package. I didnt even had to ask for it. I definitely recommend this place!!!

No common area to have a drink. Hard to find a free table on the busy terraces in town, so it would have been nice to have a drink in the hotel.

I selected Hotel Modena for its location as I was attending a wedding at Malcesine Castle so it could not have been more better located. I had a single room which had everything I needed for the 2 nights I stayed. The bedroom itself had plenty of room and the air conditioning meant I slept with great comfort. T The breakfast was a basic continental but plenty on offer to ensure I started the day well fuelled. The staff were really pleasant and helpful. I would 100% recommend Hotel Modena for anyone visiting Malcesine who might be on a budget like myself as a solo traveller!

Whilst the bathroom was small but didn't cause me any issues - providing me for my needs. Other than that, I have nothing to critique as everything was as expected for a 2 Star Hotel and actually exceeded my expectations.

Excellent location in pedestrianized town near ferry point and castle. Exceptionally helpful reception manager Joshua, who communicated by what's app , helped us bring in luggage from drop off point.. friendly breakfast staff who made sure everything was topped up and everyone was happy Very good continental breakfast with variety of fresh fruit, croissants, juices, egg ( boil yourself) ham and salami, selection of teas and coffees, tomato and cucumber, granola- enough to last till early dinner Be prepared to walk a km from the ' free ' catpark after dropping off luggage at reception. A lovely walk along the lake with great views. Overall very nicely done for a small hotel - simple supeeclean near everything, inexpensive amd thoughtfully managed - thanks for enjoyable stay ! Will definitely recommend

Could consider going a step higher with USB port chargers at bedside or adapters. A room kettle and more rails or hooks to hang towels would be good. Shower head should have adjustable height

Came to this town for a family wedding that was at the castle. So Hotel Modena was the perfect location to be at for getting to the venue. Right in the heart of the old town, rooms are basic but very clean and well kept. Staff are always smiling and happy to help with any requests we asked .Breakfast was standard continental, again clean and very tasty. This hotel is surrounded by beautiful shops , bars, and restaurants with food out of this world. Stepping out of the hotel to your left, you have a stunning view of the lake with the harbour just 1 minute round the corner. I would definitely stay here again if I go back . When we travel, we are mostly out exploring the surroundings, so this hotel was a perfect place to rest, sleep shower, and know our belongings are safe .

The location was unbeatable, lake literally on the doorstep. The staff super helpful. Room was big and bed and pillows were comfortable. It was the best hotel we stayed at during our trip to Norhern Italy. Excellent soundproofing and so zero noise from the outside, which was very important for us. Very clean hotel and room, good breakfast (loved the fact that you can boil your eggs the way you like!)

Be mindful that with a bigger stroller, you won't fit in the elevator. But we managed :)

Location is amazing, right in the old town with everything right on your door step. Easy check in and check out, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Lent us the right plug adaptor at no extra cost. Very clean.

Although we were aware in advance, an easy improvement would be to have a safe and iron in the room. We happened to have a very small window in the corner of the room which overlooked the outside walkway on the same level, meaning there wasn’t much privacy/curtain couldn’t really be opened without passers by being able to look immediately in. There were bars on the window which I appreciated from a protection point of view. This in no way really negated the stay, as we were barely in the room anyway. However just answering the question honestly, would highly recommend hotel.

A fantastic hotel in a great location in the old part of the town only 5 minutes from the bus station. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful and provided a 3 day discount card for the ferry, restaurant and the gondola as well as lending us an adapter plug. The breakfast was great with a good range of choices and the staff really helpful. The bedroom was spacious, quiet and had opening windows that looked out onto a back courtyard.
