We were here for 5 days as part of a long road trip and we could not have been more pleased with this hotel. Located a stones through from the lakeside and main town centre it was perfect. The underground carpark was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel over others but we are glad we did. The room was basic but all that we needed considering. It was clean, comfortable, offered plenty of wardrobe space and air con worked great. The breakfast was amazing with loads on offer including a choice of cereal, honeys, cheeses, fruit, breads, cold meats, salad, juices, deserts, pastries and even had a bottle of sparkling wine for those who fancied a breakfast tipple. Also surprisingly they had scrambled eggs, bacon and beans. My wife is Coeliac so needed safe Gluten Free options and each morning the staff ( who were very attentive and friendly) brought down a full basket of sealed GF products. Brilliant!! The pool area was perfect and did not get too busy with plenty of loungers available every day. Check in had to be done at the sister hotel next door, the Costello which is also where you would dine on an evening overlooking the lake.

Nothing to dislike

Breakfasts? Absolute perfection. The whole place was spotless (seriously, you could perform surgery in the hallways). Staff? Super friendly, made us feel right at home. The room? Let’s say… passionately red and modest in size – not exactly our style, unless you’re into sleeping inside a tomato. But daily cleaning was top-notch. Wi-Fi worked like a charm, though the fan decided it wanted to join the conversation too – loudly. View and location? Bellissimo! And for the price? Totally worth it.

Parking? A bit tight, but hey – it’s Italy, not Texas. No kettle or cups, which made our DIY coffee dreams a bit tragic.

The hotel is in a great location, just a minutes walk from town and the lake but that town is up a very steep hill so be prepared! It was super quiet and the bonus of the pool was really lovely, but cold! The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also just a short walk from the cable car terminus which was perfect. The honesty bar works extremely well and they have lots of treats available there.

It's not the hotel's fault but the parking is located in a garage onsite which is down a very steep hill and you have to drive down a road which appears to be pedestrianised so it is a bit confusing. There was a charge for parking, not very much, but I wasn't aware of it when I booked. More details on the advertisement about the parking detail would be appreciated.

Lovely hotel, the rooms are a good size with a balcony and the pool is lovely too. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating with anything we needed help with.

Not a big issue, but to walk into the town from the hotel you have to walk up a very steep hill which may be an issue for anyone with mobility issues or children in prams. The air con was also switched off from around 9:30 for a few hours, which wasn’t ideal if you were still in the room during 30°+ heat. The cleaners were also incredibly loud every morning, crashing around in the nearby rooms and shouting in the corridors.

Great location and only a few minutes from the picturesque town, ferries, restaurants and shops. Only 1 minutes walk from the Lake beach and swimming in lake Garda which was beautiful. The host family were very welcoming and helpful, the pool and garden areas were very relaxing and to have car parking was a relief. The choices in the honesty bar were very good.

Just for us, we had a castle/lake facing premium room with balcony but the balcony sun and view was blocked by the huge canopy that was attached to the balcony above. This room definitely should not be sold as a premium view room. We were very disappointed. The bedroom furniture was tired and broken in places.

The owners were very polite, helpful and informative. Beds were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The location of the hotel was perfect, so close to the town, shops and restaurants but still quiet and relaxing.

There was a lack of electrical power sockets to charge your phone. Just one in the bathroom. There was a full length glazed panel in the wall between the bathroom and bedroom that allowed you to look at the views outside but also allowed you to see whoever was showering and your partners legs whilst on the toilet. Might be ok for some, but not for us I'm afraid. Would've been nice to have complimentary hot drinks, like we do in UK hotels.

The hotel was gorgeous, in a peaceful area, the garden was well-kept and it was in bloom. The pool area was comfortable and we were able to order prosecco to the pool. The hotel smelled amazing... I had to buy the same home fragrance for myself later in Verona. The location was excellent... I walked 1 minute to swim in the lake every morning and we walked a couple of minutes to the best streets in Malcesine. The staff was super friendly and we got great advice for our hiking trip.

There wasn't any breakfast but it was informed when we did the booking. I would have loved to have breakfast in that beautiful garden. The room decor was pretty dated and I would have loved to see a more fresh lake garda feel there. The surroundings were fabulous and I would have loved to see the same look and feel inside... Anyway, that is a small minus. Our room was downstairs and our upstairs neighbours were loud... I believe there wasn't enough insulation between these rooms since we couldn't sleep anymore after 7 am.

The location is perfect just on the the edge of the town near the castle so easy walk to wander the streets, visit the castle , reach the ferries to other islands and go up the mountains in the cable car - all within easy walking distance. Town has great transport links. Hotel room was basic but had everything we needed including a small balcony. It was extremely good value. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a pool, jacuzzi and sun loungers where you can relax with a mountain view. Value for money honesty bar.Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend this town and this hotel.

All good. Room was small with basic facilities but this is relative in the price when booking and actually exceeded my expectations.

Excellent location - we were attending a wedding at the castle. Spotlessly clean. Staff were great and obliging for anything we asked for including extra pillows. Bathroom toiletries provided. They had underground parking for €5 a night which was great price We couldn’t use the pool due to the weather that looked lovely area too.

Nothing really - no kettle in the room but hot drinks available at reception. Hairdryer not very powerful either. The rooms were also quite small but very comfortable

The location was excellent - near the lake and an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The room was small but very efficiently designed so it had everything we needed. The lake view was nice and we especially enjoyed it while sitting on the balcony. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent.

We had to drive through a pedestrian area to reach the hotel.
