Veronica & Angelo (management/owners) were very kind and hospitable; took interest in their guests and our needs even though they had not received our reservation confirmation when we arrived. Most comfortable bed in 3 1/2 weeks in Europe (all in same price range)! Having local products available to try at breakfast and a beautiful view just added to the whole experience and was much appreciated.

GPS did not take us to their property, but thanks to wonderful, helpful neighbours who took us to their door after dark in the hills near Mazzarone we arrived safely. When an area is given as the address, it is very challenging to locate specific places using GPS and recommend getting a SIM card to contact accommodations. Booking had not forwarded or emails had not been received yet, about our confirmation to the B&B, yet the owners were most hospitable.

The B&B is located on a hill, near Mazzarino (the closest town), facing the valley and its fields. The B&B recalls Giacomo Leopardi's solitary lookout point, and from there, it's possible to give a pick at the land of Giovanni Verga. It's a magical place where it seems these two figures talk to each other using the poetry of nature. In its tranquillity, the B&B offers an opportunity to restore body and mind. It's perfectly suited to attend events at the nearby villas organising weddings and other parties. And, it is also strategically situated in the middle of Sicily, allowing to sightsee cities like Palermo, Catania, Cefalu' which are at the same driving distance, about 2 hrs. The rooms are clean, and the family running Borgo Pileri is helpful and friendly. They have a range of homemade products prepared with local produce, which I eagerly suggest experiencing.

The terrace could benefit of a bit more love with a few flowers along the railing and the use of a pergola to offer shelter during the hottest days of the year.

The view out the window was lovely, comfy bed and fun to be in the county.

We got confused finding the location because we did not put B&B in front of Borgo Pilieri. Once we connected by phone they kindly came to where we were and helped us find it right away.

It was clean, quiet and amazing staff. It was better than the pictures show.

Host was really nice and kind. The breafast was delicious.
