The hotel was centrally located, directly next to the historic district of Mestre with bars, cafes and restaurants in immediate proximity. With the bus and tram stops just 5 mins away, the journey to the historic part of Venice was easy and quick. The property was clean with everything in a good condition. The staff extremely helpful

You would expect something more when it comes to the size of the room for this price, in particular the bathroom in which the shower was nothing more than a tap and a curtain. However, I’m not sure you can ask for more given it is Venice within this price range.

The hotel was clean, lot of towels, AC was working and strong, reception staff was helpful and polite! The parking is not free or at least we were not given the option of free parking. We were given a garage for the four of our motorcycles for a small 10€ charge!

While the overall stay was decent, we were quite disappointed with the breakfast. Each evening, guests are given a list to select breakfast items for the next day, which sounded promising. However, the reality was far from impressive. The portions were shockingly minimalistic—omelette looked like it was made with barely one and a half eggs, and they seemed to count every single slice of bread. Everything felt skimpy and overly controlled, which made the meal feel more like a ration than a proper hotel breakfast. The rest of the hotel was fine, but the stingy breakfast left a bad taste. I expected more for the price.

The room is very small, but clean and there is everything that is necessary. The air condition works very well, the frigo too. The staff is extremely gentle and friendly, always at your service. They took my suitcase to the second floor. Rooms are cleaned every day. After the third night they changed the sheets even though I only stayed one more night. Bus tickets can be purchased at the reception at any time. The location is excellent, bus number 2 that goes directly to Venice stops literally at the door of the hotel. A large supermarket is about 700-800 m from the hotel.

The toilette is too small. And the soundprofond isolation between rooms does not exist. I had two beds joined together and there was a gap between them.

We had the most positive experience staying at Garibaldi Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by extremely friendly and genuinely helpful staff, who went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Their kindness and professionalism truly made a difference. The room and all common areas were immaculately clean, with daily cleaning service that was both discreet and thorough — something I really appreciated. And the location? Absolutely perfect. We can't emphasize this enough: location, location, location! There's a bus stop literally right in front of the hotel, making it incredibly easy and quick to get to Venice. It was the ideal base for exploring the city while enjoying the quieter charm of Mestre. Also, the area around the hotel is lovely, with friendly cafés, a great little bakery, a great pasticceria and it's just a short walk to the Mestre city centre — peaceful, convenient, and with a real neighborhood feel. We wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Garibaldi to anyone visiting Venice — we’ll definitely stay here again!

There's literally nothing we didn't like.

This small hotel is located in Mestre, offering a significantly cheaper option for booking than in Venice itself. The hotel offers a great connection to the Venice islands, as the bus station is literally at the main entrance. The hotel has its private parking which is free of charge. Rooms are very clean and in quite good shape, even though they appear somewhat dated. The staff is excellent; their service is exceptionally polite and professional. Breakfast is a memorable experience not to be missed. The hotel is just minutes away on foot from the pedestrian area of Mestre – make sure to visit it as well, as it's an excellent evening destination after a long day of walking around Venice.

Extremely helpful and nice staff, bus station to Mestre train station and Venezia right in front of the hotel, good breakfast, however pretty limited and if you stay multiple days in a row it might get boring eating the same thing every day, however the products were good, especially the cakes. Close to town's city center and to multiple restaurants and bars.

The most important negative was that the walls are pretty thin and you can hear absolutely anything like it is in the same room as you, rather small room, window view to the walls of another building. Only one small shop nearby with few products sold.

The hotel has real italian charm, it's very cozy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As hotel is located in Mestre, it's very quietly there and there aren't tourists crowds. The location is good - the bus stop is exactly opposite of the hotel, it takes 20 minutes to the centre (without trafic jam). But on the weekends could be trafic jam and the way by bus to the center will be up to 50 minutes. In the evenings it was always 15 minutes by bus from the centre to the hotel. Breakfasts are very good! In the description was told 'continental breakfast', so we didn't expect much. But it was a very good breakfast, which was served on the table according to our requirements by check-in (they ask to fill out the form what you prefer to have for the breakfast and what time it should be served). The hotel is clean, the bed was very comfortable, bed sheets are changed every 3rd day.

The bathroom is quite small and there is not much space for cosmetic. But as we came to the hotel only for a night it wasn't a big problem.

Location is good, close to Mestre center. They had a room for 4 (even though it was very small room) what is rare thing to find. Friendly staff. Limited parking available (just you have to leave your car keys in the reception)

Bed mattress was very uncomfortable (needs replacing). Breakfast meals have to be pre-ordered a night before and time is set as well, no self service(due to limited space and manpower availability). When you travel with kids and don’t want to hurry it’s very inconvenient.

The hosts and the staff make you really feel at home. They are all very kind and helpful. The location is excellent, bus no. 2 stops right in front of the hotel and from the opposite side of the street takes you directly to Venice. The hotel is situated in the historical centre of charming Mestre so you can enjoy strolling along the streets full of various contents for each generation and at the same time it is a quiet zone for a good rest at night.

Very clean rooms; pleasant and helpful staff. The bus station is right in front of the hotel, located in a quiet neighborhood. Tickets for all public transportation (bus, vaporetto ect.) can be purchased at the hotel Parking is available. The bathroom is very clean but could benefit from a renovation.

Breakfast isn’t self-service, but rather served. This way, the staff puts everything on the table at once and table gets quite cluttered. Also some of the food gets cold if you drink coffee first- like me. Bed and shower are small. (Economy room)
