The room was clean, the bedding and towels were spotless. The receptionist (the Brazilian fella, sorry, don't recall the name) was ever so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. First we couldn't get the aircon going, so he came up to the room and got that running. Then I needed to mend a shirt, and he found me needle and thread. Very friendly and welcoming. Tea isn't an Italian thing, but he made sure I had a lovely cuppa every morning. Made the stay very pleasant. The room is small-ish, but you're in a really good location, so we felt it was good value for money. There is a tram stop 2 min walk from the hotel, and trams from there take you everyone you could possibly want to go, so very convenient. Neither liked nor disliked, but could be useful for other potential bookers. The continental breakfast is only sweet, not savory. There are delicious croissants (with sweet fillings or plain), little pastries, yogurts, cereal, cream cheese, fruit, and bread. But there is no cheese or cold cuts, so if you want something savory, you will struggle. Wasn't a problem for us, but worth mentioning.

The shower is TINY. We were expecting small, but I couldn't close the door without being squished against the wall. There is also absolutely no place in the bathroom to put toiletries for one person, let alone 2. There is plenty of space for a shelf to the right of the sink or opposite the toilet. Similarly, there is one small hook in the bathroom; could do with a few more. Whilst shower is potentially down to the size/shape of the building, a shelf and hooks is such an easy thing to add/fix.

- great location - you can walk on foot from central station ( cca 25mins) or to centre ( 15mins) but there is a tram stop 1 min from the hotel. - very kind staff - helpfull, 24hour recepction - daily cleaning, air condition in the room, clean room - breakfast is from 7:30, we were leaving at 7:00 and the staff already prepared for us cappuccino and breakfast, gave us water for the journey - breakfast with fresh fruit, fresh pastries

- weak WiFi signal - in room on 2.floor no connection. there is no lift - but it wasnt a problem for us. Just to be aware.

The staff, in special José, were really nice and friendly. The location is amazing, just a few minutes walking from many of the Milan sites (like the Duomo) and easy access to many Metro and Tram lines. And, nearby the hotel, there are many bars, restaurants, grocery stores, and much more.

The only thing that bothered me was the shower box. It is a really tight space. I'm 6'2" tall and had a hard time to move inside it while bathing. But, that is expected from this hotel category. At the end, I figured a way to take a bath without broking the box doors. So, this wasn't a big issue.

We loved the Hotel Dover! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything we needed: cold air conditioning, comfortable bed, exceptionally clean room. The street is charming with lots of restaurants and a market near by. We walked to the Duomo and museums- about a 20 minute charming walk but the street car is very close. The value for the price was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff is more than exeptional, they made our stay more enjoable. From the moment we made contact with the Hotel, even before the official check-in they were very helpful and friendly. Best experiance we had with hotel staff in all our travels.

All the minor complaints we have pale in comparison to all the good things we experienced.

Small but comfortable room with good facilities. Friendly and helpful staff (they were happy to see us well before regulation check in time and looked after our bags for the morning after we checked out). Very good breakfast. Superb location: in attractive residential neighbourhood. Just a three minute walk to tram stop with regular trams direct to Duomo and Stazione Centrale and a wide variety of very good places to eat within two or three blocks.

The street is noisy with people eating and drinking outside till midnight. Our room was at the front of the hotel. I imagine a back room would be quieter.

For a 2 Star hotel, it was better than expected. All of the staff were excellent, friendly and very helpful. The continental breakfast had a good choice and was part of the price. The hotel is sited just off a main road, so it was quiet but near to the local tram services. About a 20 minute walk to the Duomo Milano

Hotel Dover is small, but very well organised and the staff is very friendly. Our room was clean and represented a good value for money. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very nice and included fresh croissants, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, bread and cheese. The coffee was excellent! There was good wifi in the room. We also really liked the neighbourhood where the hotel is located. The staff was very helpful and let us leave our luggage at the hotel for several hours after check out so that we could spend more time exploring before our flight.

Excellent location, lovely area, fully satisfies all your basic needs, unassuming but very convenient and comfortable, fridge in room (though not advertised), room stocked with additional pillows and blankets, coffee service in-house until late at night, the only hotel with two chairs, not just one, in a room for two (unlike the case everywhere else, with rooms twice and thrice the size), super helpful, friendly, and accommodating staff!

No elevator, but the staff makes up for it by carrying the luggage to your room.

This is a little jewel; the location is super great, easy to reach the center and the train station and there are plenty of bars and restaurants just round the corner (and shops, supermarket and two pharmacies) . The hotel is small but my room was huge, with a window and even a small balcony. Super, super clean. There is a heater and AC is super fast in heating up the room, if the heater is not enough. Very quite at night. The stuff was super kind, they offered me free water and hot teas during two very cold nights. Very helpful. Breakfast was good too. The price for the room was very honest if you consider the room and the location

There is no elevator. Room is not soundproof and I heard my neighbour snoring 😔
