Bed and bathroom were comfortable.

My room was on the first floor on the road side of the building. The exposure to noise from about 6 am in the morning was very disturbing, and also in the evening, In fact, when a large vehicle passed by on the road outside, the windows vibrated. Fortunately, I had earplugs which I could use, otherwise I would have had to ask to be changed to another room. The street noise did not seem to be an issue with my friends who were on the 3rd floor. If I came again to Hotel San Geminiano, I would make sure that I was not in the same room. The counterpane/cover on my bed was old and torn. I had to use it as well as the rug because it was quite cold a couple of nights. I suggest another rug for the bed.

Nice to stay in a small old-style hotel with staff present most of the time. Not so many of the left, just chains of big hotels or digitally managed accommodations. Should actually support! Great inexpensive breakfast.

The room is really fine except two issues. One is minor: the shower door is tricky: beware of not getting locked inside (better travel with a partner!). The major thing are the very old single glazed windows. It would not matter much but car traffic in front is after all annoying during evenings and mornings. Double glazing would help a lot.

Yes a little dated, but served our purpose absolutely perfectly. Marco (the owner?) was just the nicest person, explained everything well and messaged to check if we needed further instructions. Hotel is 4 min walk from Franceschetta 58 - if you’re visiting for dinner it’s absolutely spot on location. Also 15 min walk to Piazza Grande. Free parking, clean rooms and the bathroom, lovely staff. Great value for money in our opinion.

Bed can be a little noisy, but if you’re as tired after day of exploring as we were, you’ll fall asleep in no time 😅

Location, very close to city centre. Parking for free inside hotel and in the street. Clean and quiet. Nice reception , very helpful. Ask about gnocco fritto! It's great!

Breakfast a bit pricy. Didn't have it. Bed a bit soft but it really depends on your back! For the price paid I think it should have a small fridge in the room. However, they have a fridge in the bar and you can ask them to store something if you need.

Marco was very welcoming and helpful. Room was spacious, warm, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Great shower. Situation is perfect for visiting the centre, maximum 10 minutes flat walk. Situated in a smart residential area with plenty of cafés/restaurants nearby. Parking in hotel car park but also street parking. Excellent value for money. Will definitely use it again.

Everything was good.

The host was very forthcoming to inform us about everything. There was an elevator to get us with the luggage to the 2nd floor. The breakfast for an extra 7,50 was good value for the money. Overnight Parking on the premises was no problem.

A little noisy since the windows faced a Main Street with lots o bis traffic starting at ~6am.

Hotel is easy walking to central Modena, Duomo etc. Older building but updated room and bathroom. We loved the little balcony. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free onsite parking. Breakfast was available and reasonable extra. While reception is staffed, theres a little bar for coffee and drinks.

Why only two stars? :) I’ve stayed a couple times already here. The hotel isn‘t so central, but it has super nice personal, everything is clean and works, good breakfast, bar and restaurant are in the building. The location is calm, however you’ll find all the necessary facilities within 5min walk.

Very close to the center city and very quiet at night. Rooms are very spacious. One of the best options when it comes to hotels in Modena as it’s reasonably priced compared to other hotels. There are no thrills in this hotel but everything functions as it should.

It was a beautiful property very close to the city center and located right next to a nice restaurant. The room was very cozy and the staff was so friendly.

The rooms are very noisy. At one point, a family with children moved in to the room right next to me and I could hear the child crying and scream all day and night. That, unfortunately, was the only thing I wasn't very satisfied with.
