A hotel with a very cool atmosphere. Excellent location: quiet, peaceful, only 10 minutes walk from the centre and close to the bus station where the bus to the airport leaves from. Very good breakfast. Good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice. Not only on the sweet side. Very helpful staff, always smiling. The room was clean, although simple, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom well-equipped. I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Air conditioning (cannot be set to heat the room). No kettle. The shower room was tiny, as was the dining area.

Location is on very edge of old town .... and allows an easy 10-15 minute walk into centre of town. Breakfast was a real treat (freshly squeezed juice, freshly cut fruits, great cakes) with friendly and helpful staff just made for a good start to the day. Not a 'busy' hotel so was really quiet within the building. Reception was friendly and helpful on each interaction. lots of light and fresh air into the room was always welcomed. Bathroom was adequate but suffered from the typical European style of cramming lots into a small space .... have had much worse elsewhere. A dinner at the onsite 'Persion' restaurant was unexpected and really enjoyable..... maybe a little over priced.

The standout issue during our stay was the external noise..... from the adjacent (25 metres away) park/market space. First night was loud singing and music until early hours, second day early morning was market being 'set up' in early morning hours. Next day a repeat of market day .... apparently we just happened to be there when this two day in a row market happens. The hotel is getting on in age and becoming a little worn.

Lovely staff and very flexible (I had to book this at 9pm on a Monday in the week of Ferragosto because another reservation fell through). A classic sort of hotel, easy to access Modena city centre and a good spread for breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

I wouldn’t recommend the economy single room, it really was tiny and I ended up switching up to the standard single room, which is about the size you would expect from a hotel like this.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We could park the car in their backyard free of charge, even before we checked in. We had a few final things to do before checking out, and were offered a late checkout at 12 o'clock - which we didn't need, but awesome service anyway! The beds were nice and firm. The breakfast was varied - freshly pressed orange juice is a winner! If only they had oatmeal, but this goes for all Italian hotels... Excellent location right outside the historic centre and the low emission zone.

Only two things, really... The shower was very small. Hard to clean yourself properly in a 70x70 cm triangle, and the bathroom could have fitted a normal sized shower with a bit of thinking. Plus the shower head REALLY needed descaling! Also the water smelled bad, like eggs/sulphur. The smell diminished after a while but didn't completely disappear. Not sure what's up with that, but I obviously used bottled water to brush my teeth!

A comfortable bed, location about 10 minutes walk from the old town. The staff was polite. We could leave the car at the hotel’s parking free of charge, even though we understood from the hotel description that only paid parking was available. There was enough options for breakfast

Our room was small, the shower cubicle was tiny, and so was the breakfast room. A little noise from the street, but we still slept soundly. The interior design dates back to about 2000, but it did not make our stay worse, as the room was clean and well maintained

The best memory of this hotel is its breakfast. Exceeded all expectations. A very rich selection, a wide variety of fruits, even tropical ones, like papaya. It's very nice to start the morning like this - a whole plate of fruit, the most delicate croissants, yogurt, sausage and cheese cuts, and so on. I liked everything in the room - a comfortable mattress, a nice, clean bathroom. The hotel is located next to the Museum of Fine Arts. The train station is a 15-minute walk away. They were allowed to leave the suitcase after the eviction. The receptionist even knew Russian.

The hotel is in a very good location, around 10 min walk from the main square and around 20 min walk from the main train station. The staff was great, very helpful. We visited in November, there were problems with the heating in our room so they gave us a better one. We had a small fridge in both rooms. Breakfast and coffee were both tasty.

Lovely staff, very clean, great location, excellent value for money and as a solo traveller I felt very safe. Great breakfast included too. Its not a fancy place but for the staff, the service and the value for money I would recommend.

The shower was a little small, but it did the job.

Good location about 10 minutes walk from the Central piazza. Room was clean if simply furnished, bed was comfortable, & bathroom was well equipped. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of food. Free parking available in the hotel's car park although number of spaces is quite limited, although there is plenty of paid parking available outside the hotel. Staff were very polite & helpful.

Had never visited Modena before and so took a chance on this hotel to stay. Very happy. Although outside the main areas this is only a short walk from the historic centre. A lovely, family run, hotel and nice to have keys rather than cards for a change. Extensive breakfast - including tutorial on the orange juicer! Large comfortable room. Equidistant from station and central square. Had only one night an would have liked to have visited the attached Persian Restaurant if we had a longer stay. The centre of Modena is beautiful though and it's certainly possible we'll be back.
