The apartment was lovely with a terrace with a view and another outdoor area that we could hang washing out. It was great being able to connect to Netflix as we stayed for a week. The apartment was very very comfortable. Having a nice pool was a great bonus at the end of the day as well as a restaurant at the hotel as well as another one directly in front of the apartments. The food at both venues was excellent.

It would have been nice to have a proper shower head to have a standing shower in my lovely bathroom with a large bath and a hand held shower. The breakfast was great, though a bit more ripe fresh fruit on some days would have made it even better. My friend had some trouble on the gravel path to the main building due to her knee but there was an alternative to drive or walk on the road, though it was steep.

Agri Hotel Villa Ambra in Saint Albino. This hotel was one of our favorites, if not our favorite. Our hotel provided food and wine from their own home-grown crops, and I would add…the wine was outstanding. The host and his family were wonderful people who made time to engage in conversation. The location provided breakfast and dinner as well as a happy hour. Of course we did our best to be part of them all. Our day trips included Montepulciano (a must see), Abrezzo, Siena. And San Gimignano … great shopping everywhere. We day-tripped to Verrazano Castle – A MUST VISIT!!! The lunch was spectacular, and the tour was particularly interesting. The Castle is about 1.5 hours from the hotel.

The staff really make this property. The family are all so lovely and go out there way, even drove us to the vineyard as we thought it was closer than what we thought (which was close, just we were running late). The wine tour next door was amazing also, which the family also own and run. The food was great and reasonably priced, we ate and drank in every night.

No dislikes, would definitely recommend and do car hire next time, which they did advise. Could not fault this location and hotel. Will definitely return.

This is a little bit of a dated hotel, past glory you might say. However, the food is very good! Both a la carte and half board is very good but also breakfast does not disappoint. In the evening you can have drinks (nice cocktails but also good wines) until 23:00h. Furthermore, there is not much to do but a good base for visiting villages. Table tennis table is also a plus.

A little dated rooms and shower. The room was not very big. Unfortunately little shade at pool.

I was very happy to see that the room was clean, especially in the bathroom. The staff were very welcoming and nice. The photos online doesn't do the room justice. It's a lot nicer in person. We would definitely stay here again but maybe during the summer to experience more of the outdoor space.

The only thing I didn't like was that there weren't any mirrors in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. We had a family of myself, my mom, my sister and husband. So, it was difficult for us to get ready if someone was using the bathroom. BUT, it wasn't a huge problem.

We enjoyed a very comfortable 2-night stay at this hotel, which is in the small town of Sant'Albino, a few km south of Montepulciano, and about a 20-minute drive from the A! autostrada. We took the half-board, set menu dinner option, and were more than happy with the choice and taste of both breakfast and dinner. The staff were very efficient, professional, attentive, helpful and friendly, and we particularly enjoyed the balcony of our room, using the hotel's large swimming pool, and the extremely convenient free on-site parking. Our dog was also made very welcome indeed and enjoyed her walks around the hotel's extensive "agriturismo" grounds We would certainly recommend the AgriHotel Villa Ambra to anyone wanting to enjoy a relaxed stay in a convenient location - it is well-located for being able to explore other parts of Tuscany by car., and/or as an overnight stop when travelling on the A1. We would be more than happy to return there if visiting this area again.

There was nothing to dislike.

The apartment was immaculate and spacious. Evening appetizers and cocktails were delicious with lovely outdoor seating. Breakfast was delicious and made on property. The owners who appear to be family were so kind and friendly. They worked very hard to make everyone feel welcome, and were always cheerful. A labor of love.

A tea towel in the kitchen would have been helpful.

The hotel has friendly staff and offers a delicious breakfast. It was good value for money There is also a restaurant on location that I highly recommend. We were lucky enough to have a room with fantastic views of Montepulciano.

The bathroom needs some maintenance. Our shower leaked out onto the floor so be mindful it could be very slippery. We used an extra towel to soak it up.

Villa Ambra is located about 10 minutes from Montepulciano, in a very quiet area. The loudest were the doves which woke us up every morning. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and at breakfast we had a wide variety to choose from. Also the food in the restaurant in the hotel and the restaurant next door is really recommendable.

Although the pool was really great, some more umbrellas would be a big advantage because there are not many places in the shadow available.

fabulous base for exploring the region! after some initial teething issues our stay was lovely, the staff were really kind and were excellent at dealing with my dietary requirements (we were staying half board) the pool area and gardens were beautiful and our room was a good size with a great balcony. Breakfast was delicious we will definitely be back

the road can be a little noisy in the mornings & the beds are memory foam, as a personal preference we find them uncomfortable
