The room was clean and comfortable and having the outside private roof terrace was wonderful. The room facilities were great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. On my 60th birthday the hotel surprised me and my wife with a bottle of prosecco, flowers, balloons and cake.... nice touch. The hotel is located in the Spanish Quarter so is very handy for central Naples and nearby restaurants and bars. The hotel offers a "breakfast in your room" service which we took advantage of twice. We would recommend Hotel Il Convento and hope to return again in the future.

This location was amazing. Lots of food nearby plus only 15 minute walk to the port for excursions. The room was very comfortable and staff was extremely nice and helpful. They even texted us when they got a call from the airport about our missing bags to make sure we picked them up in time. Beds were soft and comfortable. Breakfast was good with different choices. Highly recommend.

The only negative was the room we had, had a loft with two beds for the kids. The loft was amazing but the air conditioning did not cool it the same as the rest of the room. But it was still not hot and very livable.

Charming oasis of calm within the madness of the Spanish quarter. The former convent was very well converted into a comfortable hotel with appropriate decor. Staff were attentive and friendly. Rooms were very clean. Good to have a roof-top terrace to sit outside. Extensive choices for continental breakfast. Good coffee from machine available during the day. You only need a short walk in any direction to find a reasonably priced pizzeria or restaurant. Many attractions within easy reach by foot or public transport.

Breakfast seating limited (but you could have breakfast in your room). Only one lift which was small and slow.

The area is artistic, lively, and full of local color, perfect for solo travelers or anyone in their 20s to 50s who wants to be in the heart of Naples’ real cultural energy. Despite the buzz outside, I felt completely safe and cared for the entire time. The hospitality was truly outstanding. From help with my luggage to thoughtful touches in the room, the staff made everything seamless. While my single room was on the smaller side (as expected for solo travel), it was spotlessly clean, beautifully designed, and had every amenity I needed—including a charming little veranda. Breakfast was a dream: served daily from 8 to 10 AM with fresh fruit, homemade croissants and cornettas, eggs, cereals, a wide range of dairy and non-dairy milks, yogurts, and truly incredible coffee. Everything is made with care—and it shows. The hotel has an elevator (a big plus with bags), and it’s incredibly central: close to the ferry if you're coming from Amalfi, walking distance to nearly everything, and an easy trip to the airport. If you want comfort, hospitality, and authentic Napoli charm at a great value, this is your spot. I only wish I had more time here—but I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend! 👏

The room was very small and even as one person, tight to manuever with luggage. It felt very closed in.

Great location. Authentic look and feel. But absolutely modern in terms of facilities eg bathroom, breakfast etc. Wonderful, friendly staff. We were there for when Napoli won their 4th league title coincidentally and it was exceptionally loud where we were based in the Spanish Quarter with the flares and fireworks going off. What a great experience to be part of it. When it was time for us to get some sleep, the shutters in the room certainly did their job. If they can repel that unbelievably joyous noise, trust me, they can repel a normal stay in Naples. A truly wonderful few days and a great hotel!

Only problem with the location was the narrow streets gave some taxi drivers an excuse to drop you a few hundred yards away from the hotel, other drivers had no trouble. Breakfast was very comprehensive, frequently refreshed. The breakfast room open for tea/coffee though the day was a bonus. Our room with the outside sitting area was also a bonus when needing a break from the chaos of the city. The communication from the hotel before our arrival was first class as was the service and friendliness of all the staff., during our stay.

All the staff where very friendly and helpful, the location is excellent and gives you a great base to explore the Spanish quarter and Naples, 5 min walk to the Metro. Great selection for breakfast and very tasty, there is also the added bonus of having breakfast delivered to your room if required. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need including a very cute balcony looking down on the bustling street life below, the AC was the best I have ever had in a hotel which made the room very comfortable.

Very nice, welcoming staff. Convenient location. Very clean. Attractive, comfortable room with just about everything I needed. Amazing breakfast.

I had trouble with the shower apparatus. Sometimes there was hot water and other times just cold. I'm not sure what I did wrong, if anything. It's my fault that I didn't say anything about it earlier in my stay. It can be very noisy in the street outside. This is not the hotel's fault. The walls between rooms are thin. It's fine if the person in the next room is quiet, but one night the man next door had a very long, loud conversation on his phone until around 2 in the morning. I heard every word.

Where to start, this hotel is fantastic. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, Marco made really good dinner reccomendations and helped book a table at some fantastic places. The room was comfortable, cosy traditional style with a little balcony and doors which were really effective at keeping out noise from the street. Good shower and radio, tv and ac facilities. The breakfast was so good, a mix of savory and sweet options all freshly made and teas and coffees all day. The left over cakes and pastries from breakfast were also left out as well as fruit to snack on during the day. Over all a lovely traditional very well run hotel in a fantastic location, easy to find on the edge of the Spanish Quarter near metro station and short walks to fantastic places to eat. Also short walk to the coast.

This hotel is about a 5min walk from the metro station (Toledo) and right in the Spanish Quarter. When we arrived, we thought there must be an event or festival happening but we were assured that it was just a normal Sunday. The neighbourhood is bustling with traffic, shops, restaurants, and general life happening everywhere. Our room was fantastic with lots of space to put our luggage in a sort of "hallway" with wooden built-ins. We had a queen bed + 2 single beds in a loft which meant our teens had their own space. The room was cozy and clean. The complimentary breakfast was really nice with plenty of options. The staff working the front desk in the hotel were lovely - friendly and helpful.

We had 2 small issues - one was that the wifi was broken in the whole hotel for about 24hrs and given the stone building, we had a difficult time getting online. This made some of our travel planning difficult. Not a deal breaker just an inconvenience. The 2nd issue was that we found the room quite stuffy - there was an AC unit, but we didn't want AC on since it was March. We just couldn't quite sort out a good temperature.
