Hotel Patavium has a wonderful breakfast selection and a lovely space for breakfast that looks out over a small area of lawn/garden. You can eat inside or on a patio area. The location is fantastic, located about halfway between the train station and the town center - it's about a 20-minute walk to either of those. There is a little market a couple of doors down, a grocery store around the corner, and a laundrette on the same street - as well as many small restaurants and cafes nearby. I've stayed here before and liked it so much that I came back. The second time I decided on a slightly bigger room, and that made a lot of difference - on my previous trip, the room I was in (their smallest, least expensive one) didn't really have the desk space I needed, but I found the junior suite to be very spacious. And the jacuzzi tub was wonderful at the end of a long day of walking. The staff is very friendly and helpful - consistently true on both of my visits here.

Good location for walking to the centre of town, cafes, restaurants, shops and station. Local buses stop outside the hotel, going to the town and the station. Venice, Verona, Treviso and Bologna can easily be reached by train. A small hotel with different room options. We enjoyed having a larger room with a good sized terrace on the first floor with a fridge and kettle. There is a good sized communal terrace with tables, chairs and sun loungers on the first floor. Breakfast could be enjoyed in the dining room, sun room or outside in the garden. A wide variety of cold breakfast items were available. Staff were friendly and helpful and communication was good prior to our stay.

Although in a residential area, traffic noise etc can be heard at peak times so would recommend requesting a room at the back, not facing the street.

I loved everything about my visit at Hotel Patavium, but best of all was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - and I want to give a special shout-out to Louisa on this! She was super sweet! One of my favorite aspects of my room was the large shower; it was at least twice as large as at any other hotel I've ever stayed in in Europe. The shower had a shelf in it (not just a soap rack), and the bathroom had a full counter next to the sink as well. Another highlight was breakfast - really nice variety - very well maintained and with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It was also an easy walk to the historic center of the town as well as an easy walk to the train and bus stations. I would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was lovely and staff welcoming and helpful. Very clean room and lovely garden and terraced areas. Good breakfast available with a very good range of fresh foods available although no cooked option.

Although tea and coffee facilities available in room there was no milk and not many tea bags. Although we got milk in a jug when asked for it but reception not manned overnight so couldn’t get any more for the morning. Also no spoons. Slightly out of the centre but that was ok for us.

We were just passing through and have stayed at this hotel before a couple of times. It lacks ‘kerb appeal’ at the front, but inside it is very comfortable with everything one needs. We paid extra for a secure parking space in their private car park and as a bonus, the car was in the shade!! Excellent buffet breakfast. Easy walk into ‘centro storico’, where there are plenty of eating places.

Some inconsiderate and noisy other guests. A notice to ask customers to consider other guests and behave quietly would be helpful.

This hotel was a very good base for enjoying Padua. And it is a city to be really enjoyed-we have visited quite a few of the towns in this area but we thought Padua was really special. It's a bit of walk into the old town from the hotel but not too far and this is probably reflected in the reasonable price of the room. Padua has very good restaurants and a very pleasant early evening drink on the square scene. It has a real buzz during the morning and lunchtime-a wonderful market-one of the best I've ever been too. Lots of interesting buildings and the staggering Giotto Frescoes-don't miss them. Breakfast was excellent and it was warm enough to take it inn the garden. Front desk were friendly and you can walk to the hotel from the train station.

There is a takeaway opposite the hotel which was noisy one night-light sleepers might be best asking for a room not on the entrance side of the hotel. There is nobody on duty at the front desk at night.

Very nice, cozy hotel, with very friendly staff at the reception desk. Big room (on the highest floor) with terrace :) Good rich breakfast with excellent coffee. I have no idea why they have just 3 stars :)

The afternoon sun heated up our room and the airconditioning did not work very well, so the room was a bit too hot even if we opened the terrace door during our sleep. The bathroom is amazing with a Jacuzzi bath, but it smells a bit bad due to odors from the sink. Because we had to have the door open and the room was facing the street - loud noises from partying students were bothering our sleep late into early morning. I wish that the aircon would be able to cool down our room properly. Other than that - an amazing stay in this lovely hotel!

The hotel was very clean and nice inside. The breakfast was very nice and we enjoyed the selection. The beds were comfortable. The staff was nice and helpful in giving us directions to a nice near restaurant for dinner. Parking was secure in a lot about 1/2 - 1/2 mile away.

The location in town was a little sketchy as when we arrived we were concerned about the looks of the area. Once inside the hotel we were put as ease, and even walked the several blocks to dinner. The streets were one way so it took some traveling to get the car back to the hotel to pick up the bags.

The junior suite (room 23) was excellent. Breakfasts in the sheltered garden were a pleasure. Some interesting quirky objets in the public spaces.

The staff leave at 8 pm. No-one on duty. One of the reception staff really mucked up our late check-in when our flight was cancelled and we finally made it 11pm. She wrongly assumed that I use WhatsApp, which I’ve given up, and sent instructions to my dormant account. No amount of emails and seven attempted phone calls got any response. Certainly phones weren’t even on answerphone after 10.30 pm. Some of the breakfast ladies were grumps.

First of all, I would like to mention all the receptionists who were absolutely amazing and very helpful when I needed a safe place to store my backpack for a couple of hours - they all were very kind to help me do that. They even let me wait and kill some time (after the check-out) in the garden before my bus departure, which was over two hours. All of the receptionists speak fluent English, which is something I really appreciated. Breakfast was excellent - there was a wide variety of food ranging from sweet foods, such as croissants, cakes and sweets, to ham, cheese and other savoury foods. A kind waitress made us, guests, whatever type of coffee we wanted, such as cappuccino and other types. I also liked a lot that you could choose where to eat your breakfast - if inside, in the dining-room, or outside in a glassed conservatory, or right in the garden.
