Location is fantastic, staff very friendly. Room is quiet and i liked the blue design. Really powerful aircon and a nice little balcony overlooking a side street, which was great.

Very small for a "deluxe" room, the images are a little deceptive, and some of the furniture has been replaced. Not enough space for 2 people to hang or store their clothes for more than a couple of days. Bathroom quite dark and dingy, no toiletries except some very simple sachets of 2-in-1 shower gel and shampoo. The weirdest thing however was the "no flushing toilet paper" rule- putting dirty toilet paper in a bin is a really difficult thing to get used to. And a little thing: No water, no ice tray in the fridge- we arrived late in 38 degree heat, so some water would have been appreciated.

For anyone looking to stay in the heart of Palermo, this location is simply perfect! The apartment is right on the main street where all the events take place, and all the main attractions are within a 5 to 10-minute walking distance. It’s ideal because you can easily return to the room for a short rest and then continue exploring the city. The accommodation is in a beautiful old Italian-style building, and the room is on the 6th floor with a typical small balcony offering a stunning view of the city. We enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine on the balcony, taking in the lovely sunrises and the night-time atmosphere of Palermo – the photos we took are wonderful memories. The room is decorated in charming Italian style, full of paintings, very clean and well-kept. The hosts are kind and helpful – always ready to provide useful information.

Location perfect, view from the balcony just incredible, easy checkin and correspondence, very warm welcome and a authentic elevator.

The airconditioning wasn’t working properly even when we put it on 16 degrees (!) and when we mentioned this they told us to close the stores and lights to keep it cool (6th floor). It was 44 degrees outside. Not really acceptable for the money we’ve paid sorry. Luckily we had a ventilator :) And the fridge was also not working - so forget about the cold drinks.

Great location within 10 minutes walking of the bus station and 7 minutes of the old historic town / Palermo Cathedral. Staff were incredibly helpful and informative. Bed was a solid 9 from 10 - perfect for travelling solo. Hotel does need better sign posting but staff were able to direct to correct floor number very easily. This was probably my 8th visit to Palermo since 2021 whilst visiting family further south. The bus journey to the airport is about an hour from the main bus terminal. But you can get a bus closer by to the hotel. Perfect staff, very attentive with communication reaching out by text message to ascertain arrivals.

The bathroom was quite poor on standards with the main WC not being at all clean, and perhaps blocked. The shower was blocked and overflowed flooding the bathroom floor. Such a shame as maybe anothr room would have had much better standards. Just perhaps this room I had the misfortune of.

It was a delight to stay at Pietro’s B&B. We arrived amidst a spell of bad weather but Pietro welcomed us warmly. The building is historic and accommodations are on the 6th floor - but the views of Palermo and surrounding hills, more than compensates for climb. The unit was spacious and comes with wide windows, multiple balconies, comfortable beds and modern amenities. We even enjoyed the wall paintings in the unit. Finally the building is smack on Via Maqueda which is full of top rated eateries and a short walk from Quattro Canti. Thanks Pietro!

Nothing. It’s quite an experience riding the 100 year old elevator but I won’t complain!

Always our first choice when we come to Palermo. Large nice bright rooms with views over the rooftops of the centro storico, comfotable beds and bedding, good wifi, renovated bathrooms, welcoming helpful staff, elevator, and perfect location. Right at the pedestrian Via Maqueda with its many restaurants and gelato, granita and street food, 5 minute walk to Teatro Massimo, under 10 minutes to the luxe shopping beyond Politeama or the super charming boho Kalsa district in the other direction, about 15 mins from Palermo Centrale.

We had the pleasure of staying in this unique building, occupying a wonderful big room, located on the 6th floor. Our hosts, Pietro and Vittorio, a charming father-son duo, provided exceptional hospitality and valuable insights into Palermo's hidden gems. The building's location is ideal, with all major attractions and activities within easy reach. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable experience in Palermo.

This establishment is the best I've stayed in since I started traveling. You'll find more than just a place to stay, you'll find a soul, a family. La maison del Sole is aptly named because its owner is a sun. I came just to sleep and had a more than incredible stay. This place is exceptional. The owner is an incredible, exceptional man. I can recommend this establishment a billion times over, because you won't just find a hotel here, you'll find a family. You'll experience a unique moment and taste what we call Italy from the heart. The Italy of love. The Italy of family. Thank you, my dear Pietro, you will always be in my heart. Thank you and your family for this exceptional moment. This timeless moment. The discovery of this inspiring and unique region. Thanks also to Rosalba who delighted my taste buds with her cooking and her love. Don't hesitate. La maison del sole is the house of love with a capital A!

Location is the bonus for this property. You are in the middle of the city, everything available at walking distance. The parking was arranged through the help of the owner for 15Euros p/day in a garage close to the hotel. Nice city view from the balcony. Good value for money!

Check in was arranged at a specific time and delayed 30 mins. We were waiting at the entrance with no air-con or fan (temperature in Palermo in August are crazy!). The bedroom we got had 2 beds, but one of them was with no bedsheets. Just one flat pillow for each guest. At the end Pietro's savoir faire fixes everything, as he is definitely a special host you won't forget!

It is located in the heart of the historic center, but removed from the noise and glow of the city. The views from the balcony were fabulous. A refrigerator and hot pot for tea were provided by the owners. The building had a vintage lift, great security, and three keys for your comings and goings. The artwork featured on the walls was painted by local artists that featured Palermo and its surrounding areas. Cleaning and towel exchange was available daily. The proprietor connected us with a network of drivers who picked us up and returned us to the airport, as well as, took us all over the city and surrounding area for a fair price.

The bathroom had a consistent odor that smelled like sewer gas; however, this seems to be an issue in most old buildings in old cities.
