The entire team at the hotel was very polite and friendly. The welcome at the reception was warm and courteous. The hotel far exceeded my expectations. It’s not a brand-new hotel, but it’s very aesthetic, clean, and well-maintained. We chose this hotel during our trip to Florence because we rented a car and it had a pool. I didn’t expect it to be this good. The suite room they assigned to us was amazing — it had a beautiful, classic style that reminded us of earlier times. Breakfast was also very satisfying. If you have a car, I definitely recommend staying in this location to escape the noise of the city. Even though we planned to explore Florence, we preferred this area and soon realized it was a fantastic decision. A wonderful hotel — thank you to the entire team!

Both the apartment as well as the room we booked where very nice and comfortable, the bar and restaurant where excellent and breakfast was very fairly priced for the quality and quantity we got! Also the staff was really great in helping us out, we wanted to take their free shuttle service to Pistoia Train Station but when it was not available to got us a taxi instead (on their expenses), and when we returned from a trip to Florence the hotel shuttle was waiting on us at the station. Just perfect service! it's also the perfect location in between Spezia, Pisa, Firenze, Lucca, Modena and Bologna

The only few comments I can make is that the tennis equipment should be renewed as well as the tennis court. And the fitness was nice but was too hot without an airco and a fitness mat would have been nice.

The Villa Cappugi was a lovely hotel in Pistoia, short distance from Florence. While we were there in summer, the temperature was extremely high, but the air conditioning in the room was more than adequate. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant, attended by very nice staff. We did not use the pool, but many families took advantage of the amenity. The room was large with a spacious bathroom, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, with a large variety of foods. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only thing that would have made this stay better was a lower temperature!

We had very pleasent stay at this hotel. Lady from the front desk said that our apartment was fully renovated in April 2025 and probably it was because all the equipement was almost new. Location of this place is not far away from the old Town center of Pistoia which amazed me so much, espacially after 9 p.m. Pool is amaizing especially in August when temperatures riches almost 40C.

The room was refurbished.. it was beautifully finished.. clean sparkling white towels everyday.. when I asked for some assistance re baby food they were all very helpfull, both staff at reception and the attendees at the breakfast room.. smell of cleanliness.. area of the hotel is just magical...quite.. we had a quadraple room and it was spacious and not cramped and the wardrobe was suitable size to accomodate us all.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. I would really like to give more than 10 points. All the hotel staff were friendly and always professional. The housekeepers in particular were very polite and kind to the guests. The swimming pool was large and well-maintained. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and good atmosphere so we were able to relax and enjoy our meals. My kids were also very happy with their wonderful stay. I would love to visit again!

My main comment is that everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are just lovely - so friendly and helpful! Breakfast - Buffet Style - more than adequate for our needs. Nice choice, pastries that were freshly made, fruit, yogurt, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, eggs, bacon, tea, coffee, juice - the usual things but nicely laid out and fresh. You can request additional things (including non-machine coffee) and staff will make it for you. Pool is clean and pleasant and big enough - although the day passes the hotel sells to local folk mean that it can get busy at weekends. Poolside snacks and drinks were nice. I would have preferred if it was open for longer, particularly first thing in the morning (pool doesn't open until 10am, closes at 7pm).

The menu in the restaurant is the same for the whole season. It's lovely food and quite a wide selection, but if you are basing yourself at the hotel for a week or longer, it's going to get a bit repetitive.

We got stuck in the train strike on our way to La Spezia. We got stuck in Pistoria for hours at the train station and were so happy that this beautiful hotel was available and sent a car right away for us, the pool was great and the restaurant as well. The surrounding hills are so beautiful. They saved our vacation

The hotel is situated just outside Pistoia so is quieter than staying in town. The staff were always happy to help when needed, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was fabulous , particularly the rainforest shower which was lovely. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection each morning. The pool area was well maintained. The adjoining restaurant was a lovely way to spend the evenings without going into town. The shuttle bus to/from the station is a welcome bonus but make sure you book in advance.

The breakfast was great - it had many pastries, a good choice of meat and cheese, and several coffee machines. Although it seemed that the hotel was full, the breakfast room was never crowded, and I can say the same about the pool. The greatest asset of this hotel is the staff - friendly, helpful, communicative, smiling - they really make a difference!
