As the hotel was approx a 20-30 minute walk from the town, a courtesy ride to/from Polignano would be a great idea

The design of the Cala ponte is beautiful. The attention to detail, lighting, furnishings, and colours were very well curated to the region. Food in the restaurant was very good. The pool is amazing. Grazie Millie

Newly renovated, lovely rooms, great swimming pool, nice spa and well equipped gym. The restaurant was excellent (the chef was fantastic) although very expensive and some of the staff were very helpful.

A cynical approach to making money. Nothing was complimentary and there was a charge for everything. For instance, only water was provided in the room for free on one night of four and when I asked how much a transfer would be to a local train station, we were quoted four times the amount that a local taxi company charged. They even charged 5 Euros for an espresso (whereas every other hotel at this level have provided a Nespresso machine in the room). This would be fine for a budget hotel but given this hotel is already quite highly priced it came across as money grabbing. The hotel is also a a good 30 minute walk from any decent restaurants etc so budget €20 euros for a return TukTuk for two most evenings.

I have to say we were absolutely delighted with our stay at Cala Ponte Hotel. From the moment arrived we were greeted by Antonio who brought our luggage into the reception... while we awaited to be checked in we were brough tot he bar and given a fresh juice. Ilia was the waitress and very friendly. Antonio parked my rental car and when we checked in brought us to our room via golf buggy, a really nice touch! Upon check in the room was very clean and tidy and had it all. It was so peaceful. Cristian brought us into Polignano most nights on the buggy and can collect up to 10:30 free of charge which was fantastic. It is about a 5 minute drive and it could be walked! The pool was refreshing and clean and the wait staff and lifeguard were very friendly. It was only opened this summer so some small improvements will happen here and there but overall. We would go back in a heartbeat.

If we had to nit pick, the lunch / bar menu is quite poor. €30 for a club sandwich is expensive . An offering of pizza at a more economical value would go along way no doubt. We also wanted to look into the spa experience and use the turkish bath / ice bath but it was €100 per person. Expensive for what it was. Other than that - perfect.

Great location for the Marina (I would recommend a boat trip which was organised for us by Antonella on reception). It's a short walk to San Vito which was so pretty and had few nice restaurants/cafes to choose from. The centre of Polignano can be reached by Tuk Tuk within 5 minutes - Or sometimes we would take a 20 minute stroll back to the hotel to walk off yet another lunch in the Town! The pool area is lovely and relaxing after a day of exploring beautiful Polignano. Thank you to all the ladies on the reception desk for organising boats, tuk tuks, taxis and restaurant reservations for us. They were so helpful. Melanie x (Room 509)

Amazing stay in a beautiful hotel. Rooms were essentially self contained and therefore super quiet, rooms were cleaned and towels were replaced every day. The pool was lovely, clean and quiet. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location was lovely, close to the beach and the marina. I’d recommend visiting Porto Cavallo for a sea swim and Ristorante Cala Ponte for some excellent seafood - walking distance. Lots of other amazing places within driving distance - Monopoli, Ostuni, Alberobello, Lecce etc. Breakfast was plentiful each morning with AMAZING chocolate croissants. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable experience

Lovely hotel, nicely laid out, pleasant, well maintained gardens. Well appointed, exceptionally clean and well designed rooms, great bathrooms and air conditioning (which was essential in July/August!). Peaceful despite being close to the road. Majority of the staff were brilliant, friendly and enthusiastic. Food was delicious - however there were hardly any vegetarian and no vegan options (more on that below). Photos of the property are accurate. There are 2 pools (only 1 seems to be featured in the property photos).

The property is about 1 mile from Polignano centre, there are transport options if you don’t have a car but there is very little at all around the property itself to explore. Food at the hotel was delicious but very limited vegetarian options and absolutely no vegan options. The way that sunbeds and parasols are serviced is laborious…you have to ask for your parasol to be opened; you have to collect and return towels (not a major issue on its own) but often waiting for these things, when they could just be done at the start of the day. Also, beds are randomly reserved for guests who don’t seem to materialise. There is no pool drinks service (a missed revenue opportunity, in my opinion).

Beautiful pool and no problem finding a sun lounger in the afternoon after going out to explore Puglia in the morning. Had a lovely lunch in the hotel restaurant on one of our 3 days but didn’t eat there in the evening as preferred to book a tuk tuk into nearby Polignano each evening., 3-4 mins away.

Paper bowls at breakfast! Having just moved from one 4 star hotel in another part of Puglia, this one was a little disappointing, other than the pool. Lack of fluffy towels, smiley staff and comfortable loungers at this one. Perhaps if we had come to this hotel first we wouldn’t have felt quite the same, but we left feeling it had just been “good enough”

2 essential things didn't work properly at time of arrival: the safety box was out of order and in the bathroom was a waterleak caused by a bad installation. Both things have been repaired very fast to our satisfaction. But it should not happen that these obvious things are not seen by the staff.
