We can't say enough good things about our stay with Valentina and their lovely family/friends. Starting with the location, the pictures do not do the villa justice. Perched above, in Nocelle - about 20 min from the heart of Positano, the views are incredible. We would come back each evening via bus (easy to use) to see the sunsets from our villa. It is quiet and peaceful, a nice little break from the hustle & bustle. Each morning, we had a lovely breakfast made by our new friend Patrizia, with fresh produce and pastries. and can't forget the coffee! The rooms were very clean, and any questions we had were answered quickly by the hosts. Valentina was so kind to assist us in arranging for an early flight pick up. We had to leave for the NAP airport at 430 AM, and she not only helped arrange a car to pick us up right on the dot, but also a porter who helped us carry our luggage. We would 100% recommend staying here, and look forward to returning back to this lovely place.

Given inherent location of Nocelle, and the limited food options for dinner in the area (there are 2 restaurants nearby), would just recommend bringing food back from Positano for any late night bites/snacking cravings!

On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome from Mariangelo who gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Our room was perfect with everything we needed. The fridge was a handy option for our snacks! The homemade wine and snacks on arrival were a lovely touch. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we had a beautiful breakfast which we enjoyed in our room a real luxury! You do have the option of breakfast on the terrace which has the most amazing view but it was a little chilly early morning in April. Nocelle is a charming hamlet with amazing views and we had no problem catching the bus to and from Positano, I can imagine it gets busy in summer so get there in plenty of time. Thank you La Borringine Rooms we have fond memories of our stay here EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!

NOTHING!

Beautifully furnished, with a typical flavor, and exceptionally clean. The room, terrace, and receiving area were just beautiful. The porters were indispensable to carry the luggage to the room. The restaurant Valentina recommended 2 minutes walk away was amazing!

It’s hard work to get there by public bus or taxi. It’s a long and uncomfortable ride, specially with luggage. Not the property’s fault, but fair warning is warded. The bus charges per person and per piece of luggage. It leaves each hour on the 20 minute mark, and you have to fight locals and other weary tourists to get on board.

We had a wonderful stay at this little gem of a hotel in Nocelle, high above the Amalfi Coast. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner, as well as Rosa, who prepared our delicious breakfasts and gave us great local tips. The staff was incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Our room was a charming double with a balcony and an amazing sea view. On arrival, we found a small fridge stocked with snacks for a picnic and even a bottle of their own wine — such a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, and when the weather allowed, we enjoyed it out on the terrace with that incredible view. The whole setting felt peaceful and authentic. There are also two excellent restaurants just a 2-minute walk from the hotel, both recommended by the staff and well worth it. Nocelle itself is a lovely little village with a quiet, local vibe. It’s well connected by bus, with a ride to the center taking about 30 minutes.

Just be aware that it’s a bit far from the center of Positano and the road up has quite a few twists and turns, but once you arrive, the view makes it more than worth it!

One of the most wonderful places I've ever had the pleasure of staying at so far! Jawdropping views from the rooms and the terrace (exactly as the pictures show), with a quiet and peaceful atmosphere since Nocelle is a pedestrian-only town. Our room was cleaned immaculately each day, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and smelled wonderful. Top-tier hospitality to top it all off. Mariangela gave us such a warm welcome and helped us with our luggages, Patricia greeted us each morning with a friendly smile and a delicious breakfast, and there was a drink and snack in the room waiting for us when we arrived. Valentina was responsive over WhatsApp with any questions we had, such as with arranging a porter for our departure. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to visit the Amalfi Coast, unless you've got bad motion sickness or have accessibility needs (see the downsides below).

Nocelle is at the end of a steep and winding road (around 20-30 minutes by car/bus, depending on traffic), and the bus journey can be rough if you're prone to motion sickness. The bus is hourly, and it can get very crowded trying to go back up to Nocelle from Positano (tip: always try to get on at the beginning of the bus line in Positano, at Piazza dei Mulini). Also, the road at Nocelle ends where the bus stop is, with quite a lot of stairs to get to the property -- if you've got large suitcases, it's well worth arranging a porter (Valentina provided a number that we could message directly). For us, these inconveniences were a small price to pay for the upsides, and the property was absolutely worth it!

Excellent property, clean with outstanding staff and the most comfortable bed ever! Great breakfast, incredible views!! Very peaceful and quiet little village that felt very safe. 2 great restaurants nearby to walk to. Close to the Path of the gods, a beautiful hike not to be missed.

It’s difficult to get to the property, and farther from Positano than we realized. It’s hard to find and expensive to get a taxi. There’s a bus that goes to town often but it is crowded with standing room only. The road up the mountain is very narrow and windy, causing many people to be carsick. The bus took 45-55 minutes. That was the only negative about this property!

This bed & breakfast was the PERFECT Positano stay. The room was very clean and had an excellent view of the sea from our balcony. It is definitely worth an upgrade to get a room with the balcony. The breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious. Our favorite part was the fresh squeezed orange juice. The meal was large and filling. I am glad we stayed up in Nocelle as it was more peaceful, quiet and relaxing. It is right at the start of the Path of the Gods. We walked down the stairs into Positano one day and would definitely recommend as the views were stunning and we ended at a lovely beach. There are additional steps to get to the bed and breakfast from the bus/taxi stop. we were glad we packed in backpacks rather than luggage with wheels.

I was nervous about the bus system after reading reviews that it was often delayed and overcrowded. We went in early May 2024 and never had an issue with the bus system. It was a small bus but it was always on time. It runs once an hour. Almost everyone has to ride the bus to get around Positano, so it was nice to always be the first/last stop. You can buy tickets on board in cash or go the tobacco store across the street from the main stop in Positano to buy discounted tickets in cash.

The view was spectacular! The room was very clean and had all the amenities needed. Breakfast was provided daily. Very good- especially the omelette. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Owner gave great details of getting to the location. Made great restaurant recommendations. Welcomed us with a bottle of their own wine- delicious! We would definitely stay here again.

The area/town is full of stairs. Obviously- the town is built into the hillside. Just be prepared and hire a porter to help with luggage.

The view is amazing and the room is comfortable and clean. Patricia makes you an amazing breakfast every morning and is so friendly. You are right off the Path of the Gods trail so it is very convienent if you want to hike. A couple of the restaruants are very good and way more quiet than in town.

We really thought we were staying closer into town but this was far up the mountain. I was initally very disappointed but the facility far made up for the location. Also, it is very crowded in town.

The view from the balcony was breathtaking! I love those small boutique hotel/accommodation, unbelievably clean! They even provide sleepers which is a plus! Valentina was extremely helpful to guide my stay and help me book scooters and porter etc! If you have large luggage porter is essential. We tried both restaurants nearby, highly recommended, well priced and good food!

If anything, every morning, sweet croissant was provided, I prefer savory from the morning, again this is only my personal preference, not a fault from the accommodation.
