We had a fantastic time at Le Ghiande. The view from our private terrace was breathtaking, and our room was lovely, extremely comfortable, and very clean. The small kitchenette attached to our room was great for fixing casual dinners, which we enjoyed on our terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There was also a variety of good restaurants close by. The breakfasts that Salvatore thoughtfully prepared were bountiful and delicious, and we delighted in the variety of wonderful food and the abundance of fresh, sun ripened fruit. The cappuccinos and Americanos were fantastic! The structure of Le Ghiande is beautiful in itself with its lovely gardens and terraces--all with glorious views. The quiet and private location is great--away from the bustle of Positano and yet close enough for easy access to its charms. We did a lot of hiking while we were there and access to trails was very convenient from Le Ghiande. Hiking the Path of the Gods was glorious! Our time at Le Ghiande in beautiful Montepertuso could not have been better, and Salvatore and Regina were the kindest and most thoughtful of hosts! They went out of their way to make our stay delightful. We cannot wait to return to this magical place.

The room was incredibly comfortable, spacious, and had a wonderful view (and was cleaned daily)! We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast every morning of our stay — especially the espresso and view of Positano. We also appreciated that Le Ghiande is located higher up and fairly far from the center of town since it was much quieter.

We fully expected the 100 stairs so it was no issue for us, but could see it being limiting for some. Also, be aware that there is very limited parking — we were lucky to find street parking but we visited during the shoulder season.

Beautifully set above Positano with breathtaking views! Very romantic and the friendliest staff. There is a bus stop right outside the property with a bus going down into Positano every hour. The outside seating area is so romantic to enjoy your breakfast before going down to the beach.

The only downside is that it is a bit out of positano, so when the bus that comes every hour is full, they do not stop for you at the bus stop. One afternoon we ended up having to walk down to positano and this was extremely taxing in the heat.

We were very please with our experience with the B&B. The staff were great and very very helpful. It was my mom's first trip it Europe, and this was her first hotel in Europe. They staff left such a positive impression on us both, that she is still speaking about the experience :).

My mom didn't like all of the stairs, but loved the view once we made it. Otherwise, it was a great location if you want to be higher up the mountain rather than right in the middle of the everything.

the bed was so uncomfortable didn’t have a good night sleep at all, and to get to and from the main part of positano is very long, around 1000 steps, luckily there are restaurants nearby otherwise we would have no where to eat. when we first arrived in positano we didn’t know how to get to the property and got lost when we got off the bus, we flagged a taxi and it cost us 50 euros for a 10 min trip! because how high it was.

The property was absolutely beautiful and clean, the staff was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. Salvatore was extremely helpful and seemed to be available whenever I needed him. The other staff was also attentive — the cleaner noticed I had bread and tomatoes in my room so they left me olive oil. This was the perfect getaway from being in Positano, Capri and other Amalfi Coast attractions during the day. The porch/balcony was the highlight of my stay, I just wish there was a bit of shade for the hot mid-day hours.

I’m not sure if there’s anything they could improve — the bedroom/bathroom was a little dated but it wasn’t anything bad. I also wasn’t sure if I had to pay with cash for the minibar or if it would be taken from the card I used to book the room. The steps to get to the property are out of their control, and I think the B&B more than makes up for it if the workout isn’t a dealbreaker for you.

The view from our room was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea. The tranquility and peacefulness of the place made it an ideal spot for us to rest and savor the beauty of nature. An unforgettable experience for those seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway! Apart from that, the property’s vintage style, cleanliness, and comfort truly made it an exceptional experience. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stylish and cozy retreat. Besides, the host was truly exceptional, showing a genuine passion for his property and taking care of every single detail with utmost dedication. It was evident how much he loves his place, and this same warmth and attentiveness extended towards his guests. A truly remarkable and hospitable experience, made us feel welcomed and cherished throughout our stay. 🤗❤️⭐️

Views are amazing and the room is incredible would definitely stay again and hosts are great and friendly in every way possible it’s an incredible place to stay in Positano Amazing place for young couples or fit couples if not just get s few bus tickets to get to and from the place before arriving only 1.50 euros just the walk to the centre with all the steps downhill will get to you but worth it :)

The view from our economy room was still breath taking. Every morning there was a great breakfast with fresh pastries, meat and cheeses, and different fruits! The host made us to order coffees too. There are 9 flights of stairs from the main road to the hotel but this ensures no busy foot traffic. There is a lift you can use for your luggage!!! Don't take it up all the stairs. Absolutely will stay here if I'm ever in Positano again!

Taxis will charge you 50 euros from city center to the hotel. A complete rip off, no wonder none of the taxis use a meter. This is not the hotel's fault. The owner was very helpful explaining the bus system and warning us about the taxis.

Spacious, clean room with lovely sea and mountain views from the terrace. Everything worked in the room. Excellent breakfast buffet that was open early at 7:30. Host was knowledgeable about hiking trails, access by public transportation, made excellent suggestions, and dining recommendations. Bus stop nearby.

Over 140 stair steps to room but this is the Amalfi Coast so stair climbing is the norm here. Views, and lodging was worth the effort.
