Location is superb - given some that score 10, this should score 30! The view from the breakfast room is breathtaking. Very comfortable, very friendly and extremely helpful staff. The layout of the room, and all its facilities were excellent.

I would have given a score of ten but for the sense that the restaurant meals were a bit disappointing and overpriced - some were a bit bland, though some were very good. Service was at times very slow (we didn't even get a menu for well over half an hour the first evening) - being deliberately relaxed may have suited some, but wasn't always what we wanted. Breakfast was generally excellent, but low on cereals (large supplies of highly sugared varieties, but no muesli or anything similar). Finding the hotel for the first time was very very frustrating - both Google Maps and the car satnav were clueless - tip: on approaching Iseo, find signs for Polaveno and ignore anything else!

the view is amazing, the staff are so helpful and the hotel is beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay and the restaurant serves very good quality food. could not fault this hotel!

Its location is absolutely stunning, couldn’t fault it. The bedrooms were beautiful and we had a lake view room which was amazing. Lovely pool area, quite small very very quiet and private. The restaurant was lovely too with windows that opened fully to provide a terrace effect to the front of the hotel gardens. The food was fabulous too, as was breakfast. As taxi services not the best in Iseo, the hotel arranged to take us into Iseo for a small fee.

The corridors were a little dated and probably could have done with some fresh paint and new carpets, but that’s probably a bit picky. The hotel would have benefitted from some outdoor seating at the front as that’s where the sun was in the evening. The terrace at the back of the hotel lost the sun quite early.

Stunning hotel and grounds, with Incredible views over the lake! Room was very comfortable and clean with amazing cold air con. Restaurant was fantastic we ate there both nights. Staff very friendly and accommodating, squeezing us in for dinner at short notice, which was very appreciated!

There is no bar at the hotel, so you can only get drinks by ordering them from the staff when they came to the pool or terrace. The staff were fantastic and very helpful - but understandably this ordering system is quite inefficient so it meant it could take a while to get drinks around the pool / terrace. The hotel hosts a lot of weddings (which they did make us aware of at the time of booking) but during the wedding times you can’t get access to the lake views, which was a bit of a shame!

The hotel is in a stunning location with views over the lake for breakfast,lunch & evening drinks. The staff are excellent,very helpful & pleasant nothing too much trouble. The pool was very welcome after a hot day exploring the area although not very many beds available & the sun bed cushions really could do with being replaced,. The breakfast choice was really good,excellent choice of fresh fruit,bakery & eggs. We ate at the hotel for dinner both nights & the food,wine & service is exceptional,some of the best dinners we had on our trip. Definitely book dinner here you will not be disappointed & the setting is very pretty . Good area for cycling,hiring bikes down near the lake is easy,& there is a lovely ride all around the lake mostly on bike lanes but not totally, some short bits on roads with traffic. One of our best hotels of the trip & thank you we would thoroughly recommend to others.

We didn’t realise that the hotel is up a very steep winding road above the Lake about 4k drive,this is not really made aware in the booking details. But having said that, it is a stunning view.

The breakfast was great. From the variety and the location point of view. Service was prompt and very friendly. Definitely worth the price. The dinner was nice from a selection point of view and from the location. Daily changing menus are a great choice in case you prefer more options. Wine menu is rich. Booking is necessary in case you want to be sure to get a spot. If you have hiking plans, there are quite some hikes you can start right from the Hotel or within a short car ride.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff . Beautiful views over Lake Iseo from our private balcony, the terraces outside and the lovely breakfast room. Excellent restaurant offering fresh local produce and delicious food. Superb wines.

Although there were stylish lounges and a terrace, there was no bar as such. It was a bit unusual having to request a drink from reception without knowing what they offered. However, both cocktails we requested were delicious. A shuttle service to town would be most welcome as there are no buses, and parking in Iseo is very tricky for a whole day, or if you wanted to go out for an evening and have a drink.

The team at this hotel were by far the most attentive and helpful of any hotel we've stayed at. Very professional but relaxed and friendly too. Location is stunning, only thing to consider is there aren't really taxis available to get down to the town of Iseo so if you're planning on exploring then renting a car is probably best. We didn't have our own transport but were very happy to relax around the hotel. The breakfast room had views out over the lake and clouds that past by we're at our eye level, it was pretty special. The restaurant food is gorgeous, not the usual pizza / pasta types you see in most Italien places, very fresh and tasty with a nice mix to choose from, we especially loved all the fish dishes and tempura veg.

We didn't realise the hotel was so far up the mountain so weren't prepared from an accessibility point of view to the town. In saying that the hotel had everything we needed and thanks to its location the views were beautiful.

We loved everything about our stay at Relais I Due Roccoli. The space itself was beautiful- the historical buildings, the immaculate grounds, the artwork - the entire atmosphere was wonderful and the view from our suite was stunning. On top of the charm of the space, the welcoming and helpful staff made our stay absolutely perfect. We enjoyed unparalleled service from start to finish at both the conscience desk and in the restaurant. They provided us with activity recommendations and even helped book a private wine tasting with transportation to and from a local winery! This is the type of Old World charm and service folks like Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds wrote about, and it made the tail end of our vacation truly relaxing and memorable. Definitely plan to eat at the restaurant; the service was impeccable with knowledgeable waiters who understood flavor pairings and course pacing, the food was delicious, and the suggested wine pairings were excellent.

The best hotel from our Italian roadtrip. Every detail was excellent and I couldn't recommend this hotel more. On arrival, you are given a nice welcome drink on the terrace with a beatuful view whilst they sort all the details out and deliver your luggage to your room. The room was superb - very well decorated, very clean, comfy bed, and unbelievably good view from the balcony. The staff were attentive, considerate and polite. Some of the nicest hotel staff I've dealt with for a long time. The dinner at the restaurant was some of the best food of our trip as well. So good that we only at dinner there for our entire stay. Wonderful specials and the waiters were attentive, and gave wonderful tips on wine selection. They even chose one of the daily specials as they knew it was my wifes favourite! The breakfast buffet was excellent, everything you would normally expect but at better quality than usual. They squeeze the orange just for you whilst you are there! A very nice swimming pool with comfortable surroundings. The staff even come round occasionally asking if you want anything brought to you. This list could go on for a long time - simply a wonderful hotel. It's the quality of a lot of 5* hotels I've stayed in, but much better value. We are defintely going back there one day.
