We loved our stay at Hotel Marina. Our room was perfect and very well suited to the town and it's surroundings. Exactly what we wanted and the photos a true representation. We decided to go for cozy, comfortable, clean, mid-town though close enough to the beach ⛱ and we got exactly that. The staff was friendly and helpful. The VERY BEST breakfast... during our stay in Italy. We must congratulate and commend the team. The croissants and lemon smoothies over and above the already delicious delectable breakfast. Every night, we walked from Old Town Monterosso to New Town Monterosso, amazingly beautiful, relaxing and romantic .... a walk one will NEVER TIRE off. I am convinced we chose the best hotel and the best town in Cinque Terre, as we wanted to be able to take long walks along the beach, in a setting allowing one to rest, relax - starting the day, being spoiled with an outstanding breakfast...... traveling the five stunningly enchanting towns of Cinque Terre.

The breakfasts were excellent. From simple pastries and coffee to a selection of freshly cooked egg orders and fresh juices, yogurt and fruit included in our reservation. It was helpful having a small elevator to go up to our room. But in Italy everything has stairs, some more than others. We were on the top floor and still climbed a few flights after the elevator. Not an issue for us. Marina and her entire staff were always pleasant. Their own dinner restaurant a few doors down the street was also excellent. All staff at the hotel or restaurant speak some degree of English or Spanish. Communication was easy. They were also helpful in guiding us on things to do during our 6 day stay. For our trip to Cinque Terre we found Monterosso to be the best home base for us. A larger village with more restaurant options. Traveling to the other villages was easy by train....or you can hike if you have the physical ability. Several trails are quite strenuous., but offer breathtaking views. We look forward to a return visit.

Because everything is stone, tile floor or cement construction the slamming of doors could be heard from adjoining rooms. Nothing that would change my mind from staying here again. Just awareness towards other visitors.

Hotel Marina is a perfect cosy hotel conveniently located in the middle of the old town of Mnterosso al Mare. Pleasant spacious rooms. Good bathroom. Good beds. Excellent breakfast with freshly made dishes from the menu. Friendly service. Even our arrival late evening, in the middle of the night, was no problem. We were a family group of ten persons at the age from 14 to 80 years staying at the hotel for four days, and all ten were excited about this pleasant hotel. We should also mention that the hotels own restaurant Da Eraldo 50 meters down the street, must be the best restaurant in Monterosso city.

The location was great-a short walk from the train station, near the main center of the old town, not far from the beach, restaurants, etc. The room was sufficient, more than I expected for the location. They really know how to provide the the extra details to improve your stay. Cold water next to the elevator was great, especial on a hot day. The hotel also has a restaurant a couple blocks away, which was one of the best restaurants (Da Erdaldo) we have ever eaten at in Italy. This was because of the quality and quantity of the seafood and again the extras they provide to increase the joy of the experience. The only downside was that the restaurant is closed on Thursday nights (the family needs some time off) so we were forced to eat somewhere else on Thursday. My wife loves seafood and she would eat there every night if she could. Breakfast was served in an idyllic setting each morning. On the 4th floor of the hotel they have a patio where you eat breakfast under lemon trees looking out at the hillsides. Breakfast had a few items out for self serve, but the rest of the breakfast was ordered off a menu (all you want) and made to order. Again the extra details on how they made the breakfasts was great! We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning. We would without hesitation recommend the Hotel Marina.

Breakfast, breakfast, breakfast. Absolutely exceeded expectations. Outstanding selection of options (cooked for you and buffet) and all incredibly delicious – especially the lemon tart. Perfect way to start the day before hiking. Also there were so many local cats nearby (and in the foyer at night). We love cats. 10/10 for the cats. If you like cats, this is an obvious call. The location is also superb. Not too far from the station, but far enough that it's quiet – and it's very pretty too. It's also quite near several excellent restaurants (e.g. L'Ancora, and Torre) overlooking the sea, which we'd recommend checking out.

The hotel is centrally and conveniently located. Our room had plenty of space to move around, ample space and hangers for clothes and luggage, plenty of hot water and good shower pressure, a comfy king bed, a kettle, mini fridge, and was very clean. The staff are kind and helpful. They assisted us with parking and buying our Cinque Terre train pass. We ate dinner at their restaurant, which is right around the corner from the hotel, both nights of our stay. We really enjoyed the catch of the day and the roasted vegetable starter. The pasta was just ok. However, breakfast at the hotel was fantastic!

The walls are thin so you have to hope people are aware of their noise level and courteous to others.

The location of the hotel was excellent, it's small but cute. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were lovely excellent and helpful. They have a small restaurant next door which was nice/convenient when you arrive late. Good base for hiking and the CT trails. Would definitely stay there again.

Small gripe but guests in room next door were smoking in their room (guess they had a window open) and we got a bit of waft into our room. So had to close our window at night but was fine as there is aircon. Not the Hotel's fault however.

We loved this little hotel room because it was very clean and and had a very comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. We also had an excellent breakfast that was included that had a good variety of choices and was in a nice environment on top the hotel surrounded bay lemon trees. The staff was excellent and very responsive and friendly. It had a very good air conditioner and small refer which was a nice surprise! We were also able to borrow beach umbrellas, beach towels and a kayak. This hotel is a crown jewel!! This was probably our favorite place to stay during our trip to Italy!! I would highly recommend it!

Perfect location in the old town of Monterosso. Close to many options of eateries, and easy walk to the free beach. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early to check in and they allowed us to leave our luggage plus provided us with beach towels and an umbrella. They also helped with purchasing a daily train pass along the Cinque Terre. The accomodation was perfect for us, room clean and spacious. Amazing delicious breakfast options in the lemon garden, which if you walk up to the very top of the garden you’ll have a beautiful view. Best aircon, actually freezing cold, which was perfect to walk into on the 30° days. Don’t hesitate to book, we recommend to stay here!

The hotel was situated right in the middle of Monterosso so a great location. Even though we arrived after midnight the hotel had left our room keys with instructions for us. The bedroom was very comfy and had everything we needed. The bathroom had a lovely shower with plenty of hot water. The breakfasts were amazing! Fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs, pancakes, pastries and cakes! The staff were so friendly and helpful. They had gluten free bread and pancakes for me.
