My friend and I (two female travelers) stayed at Stella Della Marina for two nights, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the owner, Gabriel, made us feel incredibly welcome. He greeted us warmly, helped us with our luggage, and gave us wonderful, detailed instructions on how to explore Cinque Terre — tips that really helped us make the most of our time there. Gabriel went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. After a long day of hiking, we came back to the hotel — and I say “home” because it truly felt like home — and asked if we could have some tea. Without hesitation, Gabriel prepared a beautiful tray of tea and biscuits for us. It’s rare to find such genuine care and hospitality. The entire experience was perfect from start to finish. Gabriel’s kindness, attentiveness, and passion for taking care of his guests made our stay unforgettable. If you’re visiting Cinque Terre, staying at Stella Della Marina is an absolute must!

I had a wonderful stay at Stella Della Marina in Monterosso. Gabriele was an absolute gentleman; friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, offering great local tips and always taking the time to help with anything I needed. Charming little hotel right in the centre of the old part of Monterosso al Mare. The hotel was on a quiet street, right off the main street that if full of people walking through the old part of Monterosso. So, the location was excellent. The hotel it self had that old town feel to it. You had to walk up several flights of stairs to get to the room (if have issues with heavy bags or walking up many stairs, inquire at check in for a room on a lower floor). We got the highest room, which offered wonderful views of the city, chuch tower, the monastery, etc. I believe it was room 10. AC worked like a charm, which was necessary. Our room was spacious but with a small bathroom. There was a mini-fridge in the room with beers and wine. The guy at the front desk was wonderful. He really took the time to explain everything and what to see, where to hike (as we were hiking to La Spezia via Cinque Terre), ferry schedule, etc. The breakfast was small but had all that we needed - the standard fair. There was inside / outside seating. The outside seating had great views, a nice place to go in the evening and have a glass of wine. Would definitely come back again.

Super recommended! It's been the best accommodation during our couple trip in Europe. The host Gabriele is very kind and gave us all the hints about the trip in the Cinque Terre. The room is magnific, renewed, clean and huge, with fair price, very functional. The breakfast is excellent, with fresh food and with the sea view from the terrace. The paid car parking lot Loreto and the train station are near to go by walking, very easy if you are traveling by car or by train. It's placed in the heart of the village and a few steps from the beach. It will be certainly our place when we go back to Cinque Terre!

This hotel is perfect as a base in Cinque Terre! It is about an eight-minute flat walk from the train station, in the heart of the Old Town. Gabriele, the manager, is truly the gem of this hotel! He gave us the best recommendations for what to do and see while in Cinque Terre. He speaks perfect English and served us the best breakfast. Our room was large and overlooked the bell tower. The A/C worked great too! We cannot recommend this hotel enough!!

Like most old buildings in Italy, there are plenty of stairs and no lift. Gabriele was wonderful and assisted us with our bags, but if you have severe mobility issues with stairs, you may have a hard time getting to breakfast (top floor of the hotel).

From the moment you walk in you are made to feel at home. Beautiful building on a quiet street tucked away in the centre of the town. Every detail of your stay is taken care of. The rooms are so unbelievably comfortable. It all feels like there is a personal touch. The breakfast is just right . With a gorgeous rooftop terrace to enjoy it on, with a view of the town and the sea. 5 min walk to free local beach or a 10 min walk to all the beach clubs . This hotel with only a few rooms is quite special. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Everything. It's an owner-run hotel situated in the centre of Monterosso’s Old Town. Perfect place to stay while exploring Cinque Terre. The Room was nice and big. We overlooked the town's Bell tower and had a balcony. Traveling with 2 big bags normally is an issue, but the room was big enough to accommodate the space needed. Breakfast is great, and coffee is amazing. The owner gave us some great tips for our 4-day stay. Would recommend this place to all travelers. Just a side note. There is no lift, so for older guest, the owner will be able to assist with bags.

I liked the comfort, cleanliness, and spaciousness of the room. I also liked the breakfast room with its uplifting vibes and sea view. Also, the hotel is very conveniently located. Above all, Gabriele was the highlight of my stay at the hotel. He is an excellent host, very friendly, very helpful, informative, and receptive.

The hotel is inconveniently located on the third floor, with two additional levels. I luckily had a sea view room, but on the highest level. Without an elevator, it was a bit tiring going up and down the stairs.

You couldn't ask for a nicer, more welcoming and helpful host. Very impressed and we hope to go back one day. The historic building has a gorgeous entrance and staircase. The absolute highlight was breakfast on the terrace with sea view and view of the many historic centre buildings and hills. We loved our little balcony too where we could see the comings and goings in the street below. The hotel was kept immaculately clean, but of course there are steep steps to get up to the terrace which aren't really a problem.

Perfect place to stay in Monterosso! We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming host, who was eager to share lots of helpful tips. The place was immaculately clean and well kept, and really cosy. Breakfast was great too, with plenty of options for people with food allergies (gluten-free, lactose free alternatives). It was served on the terrace, which offered views of the sea and the historic city centre. It was a real joy to start our days there. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
