Gorgeous views from the property, an old monastery. Excellent dinner at very reasonable rates. Free parking on the roadside, which is really good as it is not convenient to reach this place if not by car or walking the Cinque Terre trails. They provide a free shuttle to go down to Monterosso in the morning and back in the evening before 7pm, which is extremely convenient.

It was pretty cold and we did not have any blankets for the first night. Since they could not yet put the heaters on, they should provide blankets by default on each bed. Later nights were fine. The rooms remain very "monastical", i.e. comfort is minimal and there is no wifi except in the restaurant area (good or bad, depends on you).

Santuario NS Soviore is a place too wondrous to put in words: the staff is lovely, people are hardworking in order to make sure every need is met, they take much care of the guests; the location is incredible, pictures cannot render faithfully the beauty of the natural-architectural complex; the breakfast included is very nice, it has lots of options, of great quality, there are many little delicious home-baked goodies; the room was very clean, simple, and very comfortable. Santuario also has a restaurant offering incredible food, what a delight in that setting! Many warm thanks to Francesco who was in charge of the shuttle van (in the morning and late afternoon), he is an incredible driver, ever so polite and generous. At night, one could even see a mysterious party of fireflies, in the forest behind the church. It is a beautifully peaceful location, rendered magical by the care of its staff, the beauty of nature, the comfort of the room, the overall sensation of peace it allows. Practical tips: do make sure to book one day in advance the shuttle bus, at the reception and directly with Francesco, do make a reservation at the restaurant for dinner, at times it gets quite crowd-y (no wonder why, it is so lovely). Many many thanks to the entire Santuario Team for its dedication and commitment, we are so grateful and can't recommend the location enough!

Goid value for money and breakfast was included, we wanted to experience an accommodation with overlooking iew of monterorsso, and it exceeds our expectations, friendly staff, respond quickly, Free shuttle from and to train station, restaurant menu and food was amazing, bed is comfortable, I felt peace here, it was so quiet at night, slept like a bear, the bathroom looks newly renovated, clean, highly recommend even for families if you are staying in monterorsso, shuttle has schedules to be reserved ahead of time from the driver.

Beautiful location, in the middle of forests. Staff where lovely and caring.

Room needs to be more equiped. For example, electric kettle, toaster, table top cooker some utensils and plates. Maybe a TV in the room. One must remember that the place is not within the reach of shops or restaurants. Their restaurant is quite good. But you will forget what's bad when you see the place and it's position.

This property was located in the hills overlooking the sea, it was about a 15 mins drive from the main village of Montorosso. It is an ideal location for those who want to peace and quiet and those who are there for the hiking and walks. The property provided a shuttle bus to the main village in the mornings and a pick up later in the evening. For those who do not have a car this was a great service, a taxi could be used too if you wanted to go into the town in the evening, around 20 euro per trip. We were so happily tired in the evening that we were more than happy to eat in the restaurant on site and go to bed early. The bedrooms were simple and very clean, everything you need was provided including a private bathroom. The food in the restaurant was delicious and plenty of choice, amazing breakfast was also included to set you up for the day. If you are looking for a beautiful location in a peaceful setting then this is the place for you.

Maybe if there was a more frequent shuttle service that would be helpful for those without a car who wanted to go back to the property before 6pm.

We hiked up to the sanctuary (took 1hr 50min). It's a constant up hill walk but so worth it when you arrive as the views from the sanctuary are stunning. The building is incredible, the room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very sweet and helpful. We ate dinner there and I strongly recommend it as the food was amazing and a very reasonable price. Breakfast was also lovely. The location is great because you can escape the main tourist crowds to enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere. Would love to come back here one day.

- No AC in the room (had to sleep with windows open - Worn-out bathroom and facilities - No soap for washing hands - Beautiful view but you can’t see it from the rooms because of the trees (you can only see it form the fence - If you’re not religious be prepared that the church bell will ring every hour the whole day until 10 p.m. - The place is very far up (450 m above the sea) in the mountains (but the view and calmness makes up for it

Stunning location in the hills above the Cinque Terre, on a historical pilgrimage route that ran from Rome to Santiago di Campostella. Away from the crowds of Monterosso. Not a touristy hotel, though it was full, but a retreat to pause and enjoy the countryside, its history and its produce. Nice local food at good prices.

If you expect a shiny new hotel this is not for you! It's all about atmosphere and history.

Very quiet , beautiful location , away from the busy Cinque Terre towns. We walked down from the Santuario NS Soviore once, but it was very challenging for us. After that we used the shuttle which was complementary with our accommodation. We could take the shuttle at 6 pm from Monterosso, and the shuttle would leave from the hotel 9:15 am to Monterosso. We had dinner at the monastery, and that was great! The buffet breakfast was plentiful, very good! The ladies at the check in were very helpful! Unfortunately I do not know the name of the blond lady, she even gave us very helpful tips where to stop, what historical sights to visit on our way to Lake Garda! Very knowladgable, extremely helpful! Gracie !

A very religious property, VERY BEAUTIFUL SIGHT OF THE MOUNTAINS AND SEA. ⛰️ The restaurant is the best. The food was very affordable , super great👌🏽, and tasty 😋 ! The property was relaxing, quiet, and beautiful.

You can not park on the property BUT... there is a secure free parking on the top of the roadside, less than 1 min walk down to the property. NOTE WELL!!! There is security cameras at the parking area.
