I want to start by praising the in-room facilities and overall atmosphere of this hotel. The flooring has a subtle warmth that’s hard to describe—it’s incredibly comfortable even when walking barefoot. The walk-in closet and bathroom are separated from the bedroom by a partition, providing a strong sense of privacy and security. My room also featured a small window facing the hotel’s garden; opening it felt like stepping into spring. The walls were decorated with refined, countryside-inspired artwork, blending a sense of timeworn charm with rich cultural aesthetics. All the room amenities were modern and well-maintained. There was a separate hairdryer and refrigerator, and each room came with a complimentary bottle of water. From the bedroom to the towels, everything carried a light, charming fragrance that made the whole space feel warm and inviting. Moving on to the shared areas—the corridor leading to the rooms was quiet and peaceful. There was a designated area for local birds to nest, allowing guests to feel immersed in nature without any noise disturbance. Just outside the breakfast room, there was a large open lounge by the swimming pool with a wonderful view and a very relaxing atmosphere. A small path led from the accommodation area to a separate dining venue where I had an unforgettable dinner. The prices were reasonable, and the pasta was satisfying, but the braised beef was exceptional—rich with gelatin and perfectly tender. The service struck a beautiful balance between the warmth of a family-run eatery and the professionalism of fine dining. Lastly, and perhaps most memorably, after sunset we enjoyed stargazing from the public poolside area. Under the stillness of the Tuscan night sky, the hotel played gentle, classical music that added to the tranquil beauty of the night. We tried naming the stars, but eventually, it felt like none of that even mattered anymore.

The location is perfect with wonderful view to the beautiful countryside of Tuscany. Everything was excellent. The rooms, the swimming pool, the spa were all very clean, the beds were very comfortable, the staff was very helpful and gentle and the breakfast was various. It is a very good choice either you want to visit the beautiful villages around Tuscany or you need a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The place is an exclamation point of peace and silence!

The restaurant wasn't really good enough with the food but the staff was excellent.

It was beautiful. The setting and location were so much more than we’d hoped for.

That smokers were allowed to smoke near the breakfast/pool area. We had a room with a window overlooking this area and there was a guest every morning smoking and coughing outside our room so despite wanting to open the window/door, we didn’t.

The breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was also a lovely option on a hot day and we enjoyed it on our last day before heading off for our flight.

Not necessarily a negative - but it is very much in the middle of nowhere. If you don't want to eat at the restaurant, which has a set menu each day, then you have a long drive (we didn't mind this but just be aware)

Wonderful location. Quiet. Intimate. The rooms are lovely, especially with the hand painted flower decoration. We had a great view from our room, too. The welcome was very warm and personal, as were all staff contacts. We had a very nice meal in the cosy restaurant. We also loved the house cat and of course the unique swallows nesting in the stairway to the upper rooms. We loved the decoration of the living room and breakfast space. The attention to detail in the breakfast buffet was exceptional.

The shower head was fixed to the vertical bar, which made it very hard to wash long hair. The shower was also pretty small. The mattress had a very funny smell to it, which grew more unpleasant over time. The spa looked nice but was too pricey. for us to even want to try; a real pity. We would have loved some different cakes, especially a chocolate cake, as well as cornetti con crema in the breakfast buffet. Without those, we feel something is a lacking in a Tuscan morning!

This place was really charming. Surrounded by beautiful nature. Kind staff and very nice breakfast. The poolside area was the best. Our room was really big and we had our own small terrace with sunbeds. There are not that many rooms so it is quiet there - ideal if you want to relax. Beware of mosquitoes.

The views from the hotel are stunning. The pool area and the outside breakfast seating courtyard is lovely. Excellent breakfast and the restaurant served a variety of dishes at reasonable prices which is just as well because Rocasstrada the local town has no eating places that are of any quality

La Melosa is a piece of paradise in Tuscany, away from the busy world, yet not too far from beautiful countryside, villages and towns. We wanted a rest, relaxation and recuperation and that's exactly what we got. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and it was a lovely trip.

Really beautiful setting, cosy rooms and friendly staff. The whole hotel with the pool is amazing. If you travel with dog, this is really a place to be.

Location was a bit far away from everything. Breakfast could and should be better.

absolute peace and quiet. Perfect for relaxation. Full immersion into nature.... a very pleasant stay under the Tuscan sun

The room we were in had some air-conditioning issues but the nights were nevertheless spent sleeping quite well (complete quiet and cool air from the spacious private outdoor space)
