Very cozy hotel, close to the center of Termini station, which is very convenient. From the station you can go in any direction and see all the sights! (I walked all the time, shops, restaurants.) The room is spacious, cozy and clean! Very polite and pleasant service - many thanks to the administrators - all issues were resolved instantly) At the Astoria Golden Gate Hotel in the lobby there are vending machines with any coffee, water and snacks, it’s wonderful! In general, I really liked it!) I recommend this hotel to everyone, the staff and boss are the most friendly and positive guys ❤️

The staff were really nice and helpful. We got our room early as hoped and requested. The room was cleaned daily and the sheets changed regularly. In addition, the used towels were changed regularly too. The location was better than expected! We knew the hotel was close to Roma Termini but we weren’t sure of the area as we’d heard many things about Roma Termini. The hotel was pretty close to the train station but far enough that there was pretty much no traffic and only very few people going through. It was also easy to use public transportation if needed. So all in all, the location was a success. The hotel rooms were up to date and lived up to the expectations. We were looking for a clean and modern hotel room and that is what we got. The air conditioning was an extremely good add to the room! You could decide the temperature by a remote and it got cool quickly. We had a pleasent view at this hotel and would recommend it to others too! The price was on the affordable side and considering the location combined with the great overall experience, we are satisfied.

The walls were pretty thin so you could hear some noises in the morning coming. Nothing major though. Also there was only one key to the hotel room which may be a slight problem to some as it is pretty standard you’d get two (for each staying). The minibar fridge was a great add to the room but the temperature could’ve been a little cooler.

Spacious room, simple and modern. It was exceptionally clean and had the best air con I have ever used. Can sign into Netflix on a big TV in front of the bed. Feels safe and is there is no noise at night. 2 minute walk from Termini station so can quickly get around the city via the Metro. Affordable. All the staff seemed welcoming, friendly and professional. I had high expectations and this hotel exceeded them. I had been worried about finding good, affordable accomodation in Rome and was relieved when this hotel was exactly (if not better) than described/shown in pictures and reviews. Whilst not a super fancy hotel with lots of facilities, it's all you need whilst exploring Rome for a few days. This hotel made my days in Rome even better.

Nice staff, clean and very close to the main train station in Rome (Termini). This train station gets you to the Colosseum and Vatican very easily. It is a small-ish hotel so the reception wasn't open all the time. But friendly and nice service. The room is basic, but clean and has what you need. They also had a small fridge in the room that you can put food in. Even though it's in walking distance to the station, it's on a quiet street so you can't hear noise from the street. Note: if you exit the train station from the main entrance, the hotel is a 5 min walk. But it you exit from the wrong side, it takes 15 mins.

The sound insulation between the rooms is very weak. We stayed in a room next to the receptionist desk and heard everything. The fridge smelled bad, so we didn't use it.

Good value for money as the location is GREAT (close to Termini and therefore very practical). The room is quite small but for it's price it's fair and we did not expect bigger because it was clear when booking! At the same time we like the fact that it was clean and modern! We also appreciated the fact that there is a coffee machine in the reception (free use) from 7am - 9pm - that is very thoughtful (apart from the kettle and tea in the room).

We come from a country where we are not used to central heating and therefore found the rooms a bit hot during the night. It was our choice to "close" the windows due to noises, so that didn't help either. The airconditioner to cool the room was not efficient, but to be honest we didn't ask about it because it was not that bad. The AC switched on but assumed that since it was February maybe it didn't "work" for a particular setting.

The best and I believe the number one asset of this property is Rudolph. He is very professional and accommodating front office manager. He will assist you with the information that will help you get around the area. He will also go out of his way to help you contact the person or supplier that you are looking for. That is what you call a perfect front office manager. I will definitely go back to this property only because I know that I feel at home though far away from home because of Rudolph.

Close proximity to Termini Station (3 min). Super nice staff (Rudolfo) was very attentive and fantastic communication. Happy to offer restaurant recommendations and provide insights for Rome. Rooms were exactly as described, and most importantly - exceptionally clean.

This is a small hotel with only 8 rooms, and there is no staff present after 8pm. The location is tucked away in the middle of the street and without much of a sign, it would be easy to walk right past the door unless you knew where to find the place.

Everything!! Excellent location close to Termini Station. The room is new, bright large and spacious and very clean including the toilet and shower room. A very comfortable bed. There is a machine for making hot drinks for free and without charge. Rudolfo,in the reception is very kind and friendly person. After 19:00, independent and controlled entry through the hotel gate using the room's entry card. Unfortunately, the place was full and I couldn't continue another day. What a pity I didn't know about it at the beginning.

The location is good! 3-5 mins walk to the Termini Train Station. Best customer service! Both receptionists(sorry I forgot your names!) were very friendly and helpful for first timer tourist like me, giving me information on what to take note of and advise my travel schedule. The best part is the coffee machine near the reception, which is totally free and unlimited for guests to have it! Reasonable room size for 3 luggages(only can open up 2) and reasonable clean and of course reasonable pricing. Might be better than some of the 3/4 stars hotel. Big TV in room, aircon working, water heater, safe working!

As it is summer, they do not have any blanket to provide, only bed sheets. However, it's not a problem if you adjust the air con to a higher temperature. I realised the mini fridge is not cold enough to keep cold beverages and food that might melt. Learnt how to drink beer at not an ice-cold temperature. Double bed made up of 2 single mattresses, so it might be a little uncomfortable when you lay in the middle. However, it's big enough to split each person on each side!

I came to Rome with no expectations at all in light of my friends' past experiences. I chose the ASTORIA GOLDEN GATE because of its proximity to the Termini train station and to be honest I arrived with no expectations. When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by the charming Rudolfo, thanks to whom we already started our experience in Rome with a smile. Rudolfo was kind, professional and answered all our questions and without a doubt we felt at home. We informed Rudolfo in advance that we would arrive earlier than expected in relation to the check-in time and he and the staff went out of their way to prepare the room for us earlier so that we could arrive and settle in comfortably. It was really unexpected and we appreciate it very much! The room is large and spacious and tastefully decorated. The room had a minibar, a coffee station, a closet, a bidet in the bathroom and a TV. Undoubtedly - a surprise! It was fun to see such a well-equipped room. In the evening and the next morning we met Christian, another receptionist who was very nice and kind and it is important for us to mention this to the good. When we left there was a young man whose name I didn't ask, who was also very nice! I really liked the concept of the hotel where there is the card of the room that opens the entrance gate and the door gate. There was a coffee machine at guests' disposal for free, which is a very nice and not obvious thing. The hotel's proximity to the Termini train station was just perfect! It was convenient for us in every way to get around Rome easily. Without a doubt this is the hotel I will return to when I visit Rome again!
