A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Rome - Secret Garden The name of the hotel says it all: Secret Garden. It truly is a wonderful oasis right in the middle of the city. The garden feels like it’s been transported straight from the tropics – the perfect place to relax and unwind. For the price you pay here, you get so much more than expected. Elsewhere, this beautiful spot would have been turned into a boutique hotel with much higher rates. But here at Secret Garden, you can truly feel like royalty without breaking the bank. I had the pleasure of staying here for two weeks and got to experience several of the rooms. Each room has its own charm and unique decor. They might not meet the latest modern standards, but that only adds to the cozy and authentic atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. I would come back anytime, especially since the hotel is an ideal retreat even during constant heat. If you’re looking for a charming place to stay in Rome that offers more than just a bed, then Secret Garden is the right choice for you.

Liked the vibe of the place. The room smelt a little vintage and rustic which I guess can give an old victorian aesthetic for some. Beds were okay, nothing special. Location is pretty good. Close to the train terminal, we ended up taking a day off and take a train over to Anzio to relax at the beaches. Super easy!
I’d save yourself 65 euros with the hotels private taxi and just walk 0.2 miles to the hotel. Not too bad, we had heavy luggage and it was also 100°F out, better than paying 65 for the taxi on the way there. When we paid for “luxury” taxi service from the airport to the hotel our driver was nice but his car kept making questionable noises and shaking whenever he would come to a stop. Not very luxury. Also if you have heavy luggage, beware because this hotel has an elevator to the 2nd floor but we had to drag our bags up 2 more flights of stairs to our room. Not very convenient. If you’re worried about it, try messaging the hotel and make sure you get a room right next to the elevator .

During our recent trip to Rome, we had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Select Garden, which is conveniently near the station yet tucked away in a serene and quiet street, offering the perfect blend of accessibility and tranquillity. Location: The hotel's location is undoubtedly one of its highlights. Being close to the station made our travels around the city incredibly convenient. Whether we were heading out for a day of sightseeing or returning from a late-night stroll through the charming streets of Rome, getting to and from the hotel was a breeze. Ambience: We chose Hotel Select Garden, for the lush green garden that truly stole our hearts. A tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city, the garden provided the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring Rome's iconic landmarks. Staff: The staff at Hotel Select Garden truly epitomise the spirit of Italian hospitality. Rooms: Our room may not have been the most spacious accommodation, but was adequate for this stay Overall: In summary, Hotel Select Garden offers a delightful blend of convenience, comfort, and charm. Whether you're a first-time visitor to Rome or a seasoned traveller, this hotel provides the perfect base.
Perhaps the mattresses on the beds could be better

The hotel seems to be a little bit worn out, my room was really small (literally, walls were about 40-50cm around the bed), but there is one thing that beats all these little things: your personal patio (two chairs with a small table) and a real garden just outside of it. There are a few lemon trees with real lemons on them and a palm (probably). However, keep in mind that these are available only for rooms on the first floor. The location is close to termini (maybe 10 minutes of walk from the train station), however most of the restaurants and grocery shops close by 10pm in this area. If you get to arrive here late in the evening, make sure to buy some food (or just a bottle of water) at the train station. There is also a restaurant right in the hotel (with the access to the garden I mentioned above). The breakfast was good, buffet-style with a choice of ham, cheese, cakes, yoghurts and fruits. The room has a hairdryer, also there is a heated towel rack/radiator which really helps if you have wet clothings.
Location is a little bit far from historic places, the area around seems to be a business district so it becomes empty and lonely after 10pm here. It felt safe anyway, but if you prefer night life, this neighbourhood is not the best choice.

Location, breakfast was amazing , room was clean every day, with new towers and new bed sheets. If i visit rome again, i will definitely come and stay again.
when you sit outside, veranda birds can't leave you to enjoy the breakfast..all times on tables!! the room was very small but was clean every day with new towers and bed sheets. they have to renovate the bathroom. the tiles in the bathroom were very . they should renovate all room to be more stylish as now it looks like old ..

The hotel restaurant cooked a great pizza, best one we had in Italy. Great for our late evening check in. Also, the next day the staff held our bags without fuss as we had a late flight home. The added bonus is that the hotel is in easy reach of Termini train station for our express train to the airport. Great location.
The actual room was very small but I can’t take points away for this factor because it still had everything we needed and was nicely done and tastefully decorated. When in Rome you should not be spending any time in your room except for sleeping.

The hotel is just 5 minutes away from Termini station, so it's very easy to reach any place in the city. Staff both at reception, breakfast room and bar were efficient and frendly. You can have your breakfast in the garden, which is a plus for the hotel. Breakfast itself is good and tasty, especially the Italian pastries. We had a room in the garden and it was a bit dark and small, but for a weekend was more than enough
The rooms in the garden and the bathrooms are rather small. Coffee in the breakfast room should be much better (after all, we are in Italy)

excellent, right next to Termini, where there is transportation to all destinations in Rome (train, bus, metro). The hotel was very warm and clean. The room was cleaned every day and towels were changed. The hotel has a beautiful garden, for drinking coffee and enjoying. There are small shops and restaurants right next to the hotel. The breakfast was very good, there was a buffet with very diverse food. The people at the reception were very kind and helped us a lot. They gave a map of the city of Rome for easier transportation by metro. The metro ticket cost €1.5 for 100 minutes. The hotel also offers transportation by van for €60 to Fiumicino Airport. We would return to the same hotel again. The name of the hotel has been changed to Astoria.

I like the garden it was very relaxing and peaceful. Staff were great and friendly and the maid from Albania was superb!
It was far from the main attractions, colosseum, Trevino fountain etc … however you can walk there about 20-30 minutes and along the way find little hidden historical gems . Plus you are from a five minute walk from Termini station

Very good breakfast, quite rich but the same dishes every day but very nice and friendly staff. The room is good, the bathroom is a bit small, but the location is very good and free WI-FI evrywhere. Hotel are quite close to all the sights you would like to see! All the important sights you don't want to miss can be reached within a 20-45 minute walk! Near the reception there are 2 rest rooms with sofas where you can rest and a wending machine where you can buy juices or water and a small restaurant with an inner garden!
