I stayed at this hotel as a female solo traveler and felt completely safe and well taken care of. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming—they assisted me with my luggage upon check-in and arranged a cab for me when I was leaving, which made everything so much easier. The location was unbeatable—just a 3-minute walk to the Pantheon and about 7 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. I was able to walk everywhere, which made my time in the city even more enjoyable. The rooms were recently renovated, very clean, with a comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. While the building is a bit older and you can occasionally hear people in the hallway, it didn’t interfere with my rest. Overall, this hotel was safe, cozy, and perfectly located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it, especially for solo travelers!

This was my third stay at this hotel. It is a great choice. The location is very centered in the historic section of Rome that most tourists would want to visit. All the main tourist sites are within 1 mile of the hotel (this is my rough estimate). If you get a room facing the inner courtyard, you will find the room perfectly quiet throughout the night. At least, that has always been my experience. The breakfast is good. The staff is generally attentive. The hotel is well maintained and clean. These facts earn it my "perfect" rating.

Really nothing. It's a 3-star hotel, so don't expect great luxuary. At the 310 euros per night that I paid in April (breakfast included), maybe it's a little expensive, but I considered it worth it and generally competitve.

Location was phenomenal, right in the middle of Rome. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes, sights. Solo female traveller, felt very safe. Comfortable room. Nothing fancy, but very comfortable and great for the price. Breakfast included, good selection of sweet and savoury food.

Bathroom / shower was a bit tight. Could be a struggle if you're not well able. However, it was all I needed and perfect for me. Room was a little noisy because window faces the street - however, this is expected in the heart of Rome and closing the window makes a big diff.

The rooms are clean with modern bathrooms and hairdryer, fridge. I really lucked out with a room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the church next door. I was able to check in early and the people who worked there were so kind and friendly! The location was perfect for a short stay in Rome - easily walkable (or bus-able) to all the must-sees, and the area felt very safe. had a wonderful time and would recommend to solo travelers especially for the price point and location.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Very efficient air conditioning, especially on sweltering hot days in Rome. Lovely bathroom and a nice shower. The hotel also provides breakfast. The usual fare and the cappuccino was great. Nice attentive staff. The location of this hotel is excellent. Literally, steps from the Pantheon and the historical center of Rome. A main roadway is a block away to catch a bus. Just a few stops to Termini Station.

There is no restaurant on site but a small bar and sitting area, but you are steps to everything. Even a small supermarket around the corner for snacks and drinks.

The staff was really nice. Had some miscommunication when I checked in but I think that’s due to booking.com. It listed the hotel as having a shuttle when it does not but you can hail taxis as needed. That being said the staff was lovely and they let me store my luggage after check out. In general that staff made the stay better and the hotel really is right next to pantheon. It was easy to get everywhere and I felt safe as a solo female traveler. Expect old Roman charm- this isn’t a modern hotel. But no major complaints about my stay once I understood that.

I think it’s unnecessary to say since the staff was accommodating if I needed something. They were doing their best.

Location is great, breakfast was good, but due to early check out the next day, we couldn't arrange lunch pack because kitchen was already closed when we asked for it (it is only opened during the breakfast time) so if you have breakfast included in the price and early check out, you should announce this earlier

We have make a reservation for the taxi to drive us to the airport - at least we were certain that it is reserved and it will wait for us in front of hotel at time we said. BUT, there was no taxi and we have waited for 15 minutes and then decided to call uber by ourselves instead.

Great location to explore Rome, just two minutes away from the Pantheon and walking distance to many other key spots (Colosseum, Fori Imperiali, Piazza Argentina, Vittoriano, Circo Massimo, etc.). The bedroom was very comfortable and spacious for a single occupancy.

As it is very central, it is also very noisy at night, at least on weekends. Earplugs are necessary for a good night sleep.

The staff personal were very helpful, friendly and always asking if I needed help. They up graded my room, they didn't realize I was coming with my son and not husband I think anyway, the room was absolutely beautiful!! It had marble floors with a mini living room, view of the amazing church across the street and lots of room. Our breakfat in the morning, that was included, was nothing short of a culinary delight!! It is right by the Trevi Fountain and it is truely a beautiful hotel!! Thank you to everyone working there!!

Albergo Santa Chiara is a gem in Rome. I try to stay there whenever I go to Rome (which is regularly). The location is unbelievable within a stone's throw of the Pantheon. The hotel itself is absolutely charming. Good comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. Very helpful reception. A proper hotel instead of the boutique variety. Recommend very strongly!
