The location is fantastic! The room was clean, lovely and comfortable. I loved the Aqua di Parma products in the bathroom and the beautiful fresco that was visible from our room. Having a mini fridge was also really nice because not a lot of hotels offer those in Italy.

Easy access to a cappuccino. Allegedly, breakfast was not included in our rate, and no one mentioned that when we arrived. The hotel does offer breakfast and stumbled on the breakfast area on the second day or third day we were there. It would have been nice if the receptionist would have reviewed this when we arrived and covered these details.

The building has an old historical feeling about it and the architecture is stunning. The room was very comfortable and clean. The property is situated in a very ideal location whereby local attractions are not far to walk to but you are far enough away from the crowds to keep it quiet. Reception team are lovely and helpful and top ups for tea/ coffee can be found outside of rooms so you don’t have to go to reception to get any. 10/10

Location of the hotel was amazing. About 15 minute walking distance to all the main historical sites. Housekeeping took care of the room daily without being asked and restocked. The front desk helped us with booking our tours and gave us some suggestions for food. Water and coffee is available on every floor.

The online description and photos of the room could be clearer and more accurately laid out. I booked a superior room, which appeared more spacious in the photos and seemed to include small love seats. However, my room felt noticeably smaller and only had a desk positioned under the window. When I addressed this with the Front Desk, they explained that there are different tiers of superior rooms—something that is not made clear on the website. Additionally, the walls are quite thin, and I could easily hear my neighboring room the last night I stayed. We had a wonderful stay at Hotel del Barbieri in Rome. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the major attractions on foot. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful historical building, which adds to the charm and ambiance of the experience. The service was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A special mention to Eduardo, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. His attentiveness truly made a difference.

The only small downside was the coffee in the room—they provide instant coffee :), which feels like a missed opportunity in a country known for its amazing coffee. A proper espresso machine or fresh coffee options would have been a great touch.

The Hotel dei Barbieri is a small yet stylish hotel located very close to the Piazza Navona. The interior decoration of the hotel was very appealing - the rooms had a minimalist modern feel whilst respecting the traditional style of the older building itself. The facilities in the room were excellent, including a lovely walk in shower equipped with Acqua di Parma products, all of which made for a luxurious experience. The room also had a small mini fridge, a safe, a hairdryer and kettle, tea and coffee products, a smart TV, along with generous storage space for our clothing and suitcases. We received fresh towels as requested throughout the stay. The bed was a bit creaky which made moving around a noisy task. This slightly impacted our comfort when sleeping but it was still manageable. The room was kept very clean during our stay and the staff were very approachable, friendly and helpful to us. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, it was a nice experience and we would definitely return to this hotel on another visit to Rome in future.

The bed was creaky and stiff, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in. Our room was on the ground floor, so we could hear some noise from the street and reception area through the night. We could hear the tram braking and turning on the tracks nearby, like clockwork.

The staff of the hotel, especially Romana and Enrique have been the loveliest. We had some technical issues that were sorted straight away by them, always as attentive as they could be. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast, however compact was one of my favourites of the whole trip. Also the location of the hotel is great for tourism and not too far from some amazing restaurants.

We had a few issues that inconvenienced us slightly until the staff so promply tended to them: the safe wouldn't work, towels and beeding were not taken care of one day, the drains of the sink and shower at first wouldn't quite drain the water.

It is a really cool hotel in a fantastic location with a really nice buffet breakfast - really charming place and neighbourhood - the inter-connecting room was excellent in size and style - brilliant overall.

Our air conditioning in one of the connecting rooms couldn’t get to the right temperature - which was about of a problem as that part has no windows. But this was minor. Only other issue was not being able to organise taxis or transfers quickly through the hotel but maybe it was just bad that weekend.

It’s a really nice & unique hotel. The building itself is beautiful and it feels truly Roman inside. The staff were impeccable, the room was great and the location is ideal. There were some truly excellent restaurants within a few minutes.

The soundproofing is unbearable. I could hear, in detail, normal-volume speaking from the room next door. Whilst obviously annoying, it was also a privacy concern. The noise from the street appears completely unfiltered, as if the window was open. There was also an odd sewer-like smell in the bathroom a couple of times but it went away quickly.

It is at walking distance from most attractions in Rome such as the Pantheon and the Colosseum. One can visit Sistine chapel and Vatican museums via 15 min bus ride which is comfortable and cost effective. Room services were comfortable and good value for money.

One of the receptionist had a very unfriendly attitude towards guests. Most of the other staff were good, and particularly one staff member named Eduardo was exceptional and extremely helpful.
