The staff of the hotel, especially Romana and Enrique have been the loveliest. We had some technical issues that were sorted straight away by them, always as attentive as they could be. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast, however compact was one of my favourites of the whole trip. Also the location of the hotel is great for tourism and not too far from some amazing restaurants.

We had a few issues that inconvenienced us slightly until the staff so promply tended to them: the safe wouldn't work, towels and beeding were not taken care of one day, the drains of the sink and shower at first wouldn't quite drain the water.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel del Barbieri in Rome. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore all the major attractions on foot. The hotel itself is set in a beautiful historical building, which adds to the charm and ambiance of the experience. The service was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. A special mention to Eduardo, who was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our visit. His attentiveness truly made a difference.

The only small downside was the coffee in the room—they provide instant coffee :), which feels like a missed opportunity in a country known for its amazing coffee. A proper espresso machine or fresh coffee options would have been a great touch.

The Hotel dei Barbieri is a small yet stylish hotel located very close to the Piazza Navona. The interior decoration of the hotel was very appealing - the rooms had a minimalist modern feel whilst respecting the traditional style of the older building itself. The facilities in the room were excellent, including a lovely walk in shower equipped with Acqua di Parma products, all of which made for a luxurious experience. The room also had a small mini fridge, a safe, a hairdryer and kettle, tea and coffee products, a smart TV, along with generous storage space for our clothing and suitcases. We received fresh towels as requested throughout the stay. The bed was a bit creaky which made moving around a noisy task. This slightly impacted our comfort when sleeping but it was still manageable. The room was kept very clean during our stay and the staff were very approachable, friendly and helpful to us. Overall we were very pleased with our stay, it was a nice experience and we would definitely return to this hotel on another visit to Rome in future.

The bed was creaky and stiff, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in. Our room was on the ground floor, so we could hear some noise from the street and reception area through the night. We could hear the tram braking and turning on the tracks nearby, like clockwork.

The staff was wonderful, always with a smile and attentive to our requests, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome who wants to experience the city authentically and in a great location. We will definitely return!

It’s a really nice & unique hotel. The building itself is beautiful and it feels truly Roman inside. The staff were impeccable, the room was great and the location is ideal. There were some truly excellent restaurants within a few minutes.

The soundproofing is unbearable. I could hear, in detail, normal-volume speaking from the room next door. Whilst obviously annoying, it was also a privacy concern. The noise from the street appears completely unfiltered, as if the window was open. There was also an odd sewer-like smell in the bathroom a couple of times but it went away quickly.

It is at walking distance from most attractions in Rome such as the Pantheon and the Colosseum. One can visit Sistine chapel and Vatican museums via 15 min bus ride which is comfortable and cost effective. Room services were comfortable and good value for money.

One of the receptionist had a very unfriendly attitude towards guests. Most of the other staff were good, and particularly one staff member named Eduardo was exceptional and extremely helpful.

Hotel dei Barbieri is extremely well situated! It’s close to colosseum, the Roman forums, Fontana di Trevi, piazza Navona and all the important sights in Rome! The people who are working at the hotel are very polite and ready to help in any of our questions and needs! I really appreciated The aqua di Parma shower gel and handcream , shampoo etc.and the farewell gift !

Not enough amenities … I had to ask for pantoufles/ slipppers, and there weren’t any shower huts or beauty items

We did not avail of the breakfast option as we were out and about first thing. Location was really good as it is convenient for both walking and other transport services. Rooms were really spacious! The real gem of the property were Adrianne & Eduardo who always delivered 'service with a smile', very friendly and respectful to the guests. They were very helpful with service requests that are within their capacity and capability. Very good at what they do! Many thanks to both!

We initially had issues with the room layout as we were a group of 5 adults. We were assigned a 2 bedroom unit with 1 combined toilet and shower which would have been perfect for a family with kids but not really suitable for 5 women. However this was rectified the following day by transfer to a 2 bedroom and 2 toilet unit which made our stay more comfortable. There were also issues with the air conditioning units in the room but was also dealt with accordingly.

This is my third time in this hotel and I would come back again and again. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we felt their warm welcome since our arrival till the end. They upgraded our room to suite which was so nice and comfortable. Big thanks to Adryana, the lady at the reception who where there most of the time to help. The housekeeping staff were so nice and friendly. We love the hotel location as we could reach most of the attractions within walking distances. Also restaurants and cafes are close by. The hotel is an old palace which is amazing, and the rooms are nicely decorated. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
