The facilities are clean, new and stylish. All beds are equiped with curtains for privacy. Common spaces are really nice to hang out. Location is great! Near everything, but on a quieter street.
Towels are not included and you need to pay an extra €4 to get a towel. There are boxes located under each bed where you can store your belongings, but you need to buy a padlock from the hostel (another €4.50), or bring your own, if you want to lock it. The hostel should make it clear about those things before booking this place. These costs add up at the end if you don't bring your own.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was basic but well decorated and comfortable and lovely modern bathroom with great shower. The room was cleaned daily and our beds made which we didn't expect. The bar area, courtyard and common room were quirkily decorated and v comfortable. Great location not far from the Terminii and walking distance to most of the main sights. But the highlight was the great breakfast. A superb variety of good quality fresh food. You get a half hour slot for breakfast which is plenty. We had 3 courses... Yoghurt, fruit and muesli followed by savoury ( toast,/ bread with eggs, rice salad, cheese, meats and salad) and then a lovely variety of pastries with fruit juice and coffee. Very nice way to start the day. Left luggage on last day in secure cupboard. Would 100% recommend.
Nothing we didn't like!

Beautiful spaces, super comfy, spacious, trendy. The rooms are big, beds stable, one locker per person under the bed and one bathroom for 8 people with 2 sinks, 1 toilet and 1 shower. It was clean and thought to be convenient (storage in the bed for the phone and little things, plugs etc). Common spaces are really agreeable; I could work there with other people (even though we ended up more talking than working haha). The courtyard was also superb, it must be terrific in summer to chill there. Staff is really outgoing.
You need to pay to store your luggage if you arrive before check in. You pay already the room more than a normal hostel, for me it should be offered.

I had a fantastic experience staying at Joy and Joe during my trip to Rome! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of all the major attractions, including the Spanish Steps. It truly feels like everything is just around the corner. The staff were incredibly super friendly, helpful, and always engaging. They created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to connect with others. One of my favourite little touches was the complimentary popcorn at the bar it was such a nice surprise and made hanging out there even more enjoyable. You don’t just sit at the bar you feel part of something. Highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Rome. I’d definitely stay here again!

Easy to arrive to the place, the staff was kind and explained things well. Location is one of the best things, is close to citi center and there is good transportation available. Rooms were clean and the bathroom was very good. Breakfast is worth the 8 €
Early check-out, they charge for storing your lugagge and towels

I stayed in a 6-bed female dorm and honestly, it’s probably the best hostel I’ve stayed in. The room was spacious — the beds aren’t crammed together, and each has a charger and a little net basket for storage. The beds are long, wide, and super comfortable with comfortable bedding. Only the bottom bunks have blackout privacy screens, which was so good for sleeping and a bit of personal space. You can also sit up comfortably without hitting your head on the bunk above — huge plus. The top bunks are trickier to climb down from (you have to go backwards), and if the room light’s on, there’s nothing to block it — so bottom bunk definitely wins. I loved the blackout curtains and windows that open out to the street for fresh air and ventilation. The one downside is that the air-conditioning isn’t very strong and there’s not much airflow around the beds, so it could get warm in summer — bring a small portable fan for extra comfort. Everything was spotless and well maintained — housekeeping runs a tight ship. There’s a full-length mirror, hooks for hanging clothes, and drawers to lock away valuables (bring your own lock to save paying 5 euros). The bathroom setup is excellent — spacious and separate shower, toilet, and wash areas with great water pressure and heat. Bathmats are provided so you’re not stepping or trying to get dressed on wet floors, and the space never feels cramped or claustrophobic (I was in room 310). The hostel has elevators, so no hauling luggage upstairs, and the common areas are amazing — plenty of chill-out spots and loads of social activities. The location is super central, and the best espresso and cornetto nearby is at Herspresso, just a few minutes’ walk away. Such a well-thought-out and well-run hostel — highly recommend.
Super high price for a hostel because I booked ola few weeks out, but I guess thats economics. But $165 aud for a dorm bed is crazy - but this was everywhere in Rome, so is what it is

I stayed here as a female solo traveler !! I thought it was great. I obviously would rather not have to share a room, but if you're booking a hostel anyways, book this one. There are several communal spaces which make it feel safe and homey; It's nice to be able to be in your hotel without actually being in your room and a lot of hostels don't offer this. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was nice. The location was PERFECT- very central and in a nice area. The locker was big enough to fit my medium size away suitcase plus a lot more. The bottom bunk beds have risers and the top bunks also have a super high frame to block you. The staff were super nice and fluent in English. The breakfast was great and had lots of variety, definitely worth it. Loved it!
The mattresses aren't the MOST comfortable, but they're exactly what you would expect in a hostel. Not too too bad.

Very close to the city center and main tourist attractions and destinations. Very clean, looks like renowated recently. Bathrooms are great, clean and like-new. There is no mold or dirt etc. You can feel like in some kind of hotel.
Although it looks nwe and nice like hotel it is still a hostel. There are bunk beds and you share room with many people. The beds are quite good, like really good but I have seen better ones. Also the price is too high - I stayed 3 nights and then I was about to extend my stay but I saw there is hotel just 5-10 euro more expensive so I took the hotel. Just 10$ more expensive but you have private room, free coffie, tea, juice, water and cookies...
