Location is very close to piazza San Pietro and to bus service 19 which will take you into central Rome. Booking.com needs to advise potential clients that they need to contact the property prior to leaving their destination to get the code to enter on the pin pad outside the building to enter the main door. You will be advised the room number assigned to you. Elevator to the second floor where there is a lock box which one needs a code for one to obtain the key to the main font door of the apartment( which has 5 individual rooms). The keys to the assigned room are in the lock inside the room door. Close to restaurants and public transport options safe area.

Confusion on how to enter the main door as I had to text the owner to get the code. Very poor instruction on Booking,com web site.

Great location, the host kept us fully informed & gave clear instructions on how to enter the property. The room was very clean, spacious & had adequate storage.

The beds were rather creaky when you moved / turned over in the night. Unfortunately, there was an awful smell around the bottom of the lift area, which we believe was due to rats (however, once inside il Passetto, it was beautifully clean & fresh).

The hotel is very close walking distance to the Vatican which was our main reason for booking it, it was good as we were able to go for mass early morning and skip the ques. We booked for 3 people in May and i was comfortable, its a basic room and clean. The restaurants down are quite expensive but across the road there are a few cafes. on the inner route to the Vatican there is Alice pizza where pizza is just EUR 4

The sensor lights sometimes in the hallway don't come on

Location was excellent , close to the Vatican, with a bus stop right on the street, and lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby. The room was cozy, just right for a couple, nice high ceilings and daily cleaning was great as well.

Since it's in such a central area, and our room was facing the street, you could hear all the activity from the outside. It did not bother us, but just something to keep in mind for others who are sensitive to noise.

The location was superb, close to St. Peter's Square and Metro station. The host was welcoming, attentive to every need we had. The room was immaculately cleaned each day. Our stay there was memorable and we are deffinitely not only recommending, but visiting again.

fantastic location, spotlessly clean, the staff were really helpful and friendly. The most comfortable pillows, a great night's sleep!

The bathroom was a bit small with a funny damp smell, not a massive problem just something I noticed. But it didn't effect the room and I would definitely stay here again.

The location was a big plus as it‘s a few minutes walk to the Vatican. Our stay was comfortable. The staff, especially Dorina, made sure all our needs were met. She was very responsive to my queries. We left our bags on the day of checkout to attend a mass at St. Peter‘s square and Dorina made sure we could get them with ease.

Proximity to the Vatican! Comfortable bed and well-functioning AC during the 90-100* weather. No complaints! The managers were kind and helpful. Comfy bed. Quiet.

If older elevators concern you, this is not your place. We loved the charm and were so grateful!

The room was clean and had excellent air conditioning. The vintage elevator was cool. It was also in a good location, easy to walk to many sites. Our driver canceled on us last minute to take us to the cruise terminal and the hostess called places in Italian for us. Eventually, we had no choice but to pay for a very expensive taxi but she did her best to help us and translate.

Check in was a little challenging due to the language barrier and our room wasn't set up as two twins like I requested. There was rarely anyone else there.

We booked a three-bed apartment and it was comfortable, spacious and clean. We loved its convenient location: literally behind the Vatican, surrounded by restaurants, retail stores and public transportation. The closest Metro station was just a short walk away. The staff was super friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!
