This hotel is lovely and within walking distance of the centre of Rome! Walked home late at night and had no issues but there is also a bus stop down the road and a metro. The breakfast was unusual as it is a cart placed outside your door in the hallway, however, the food provided was great and such a large amount! The woman that runs the hotel was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and had a nice cute bathroom. Provided champagne glasses, water and orange juice in the fridge! Would recommend.

High-level service and good location. The breakfasts they offered also were very tasty. The hotel has drinking water machine that was really life-saving after long walks around Rome. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and we would like to visit it again

Some of the hotel rooms are really small (so the word 'piccolo' in the hotel's name is not just a word :) ) so be cautious when choosing a room for a family or a large company. Also in August 2024 some construction works were happening in the same building and the noise from these works was quite annoying in the mornings.

We found the Piccolo to be in a very convenient neighborhood walking distance to the Vatican and close to a Metro station. Renata was very helpful with telling us how to reach the hotel and was easily reached to answer questions. We had a small balcony off our room which we I enjoyed in the mornings and was great as a place to sit and unwind at the end of a busy day. We had a great stay in Rome and we found the Piccolo perfect for our needs.

Close to Cipro metro station (~7-10 mins walk) and close to Vatican. Our room (no 4) was clean and like the advised photos. Clean towels and cleaning every single day. Breakfast convenient for us. Renata was really helpful and she was there when it was needed. We left our luggages in the place as we arrived early in the morning and we were leaving late in the afternoon.

From the very warm and efficient welcome from Renata when we arrived, to the excellent breakfast in the morning, I was so impressed. I also feel that, for Rome, this was excellent value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Some very small points of criticism - I would have liked some form of light curtains on the window. As it was, we had to keep the heavy drapes closed at all times because our room was just above street level. The bathroom, while spotlessly clean, was just a little on the small size. And difficult as it might be to find space, a small table or breakfast tray would be helpful in the room.

The fact that this property is less than 1km from a metro station & close to vatican is really good.. The room was spacious, i liked the colors on the walls & that we had breakfast in the morning.. The wifi connection was good too & I also enjoyed the balcony.

The room is not soundproof.. you could listen anyone moving inside the property, and also noises from outside like discussions from pedestrians and traffic noises… The bed was also not comfortable at all…

The hotel itself is small but very cozy and clean. Our room was very comfortable with everything needed and even more: a clean, VERY comfortable bed, delicious coffee from the espresso machine, amazing balcony where we had breakfast. The room was cleaned every day. The location is close enough to the Vatican from one side and the metro station from another. The grocery store is right down the street. The district is quiet. Additional gratitude to the personnel, especially Margherita, she was so attentive and helpful. After the sleepless night in the airport, she helped us with the early check-in and which was really amazing. Breakfast was delicious and personnel met the request of my sister, that was very nice of them.

Renata and rest of staff were fantastic and very helpful in all aspects they could help with. Room was clean and had all necessary bits and pieces and more. Breakfast was excellent and very generous! Location good

Rooms are in an apartment (so not a hotel-like arrangement) and as such, they are not sound-proofed properly - if you have noisy co-guests or others living in the building playing music/watching TV/with kids and are a light sleeper (like me), you will have disturbed sleep, especially when co-guests return in the early hours of the morning, plus a very busy road is close by and windows are not very good at keeping noise levels low. If you are a heavy sleeper, you'll be fine! There is no bidet (at least in my room) so not ideal if you are an Italian travelling, but a minor thing.

The breakfast was amazing! So many different options on the cart (coffee, sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk, pastries…). A perfect way to start the day. The room was extremely clean and was cleaned everyday. The AC worked perfectly, and we were glad to have it after a hot day walking around the city. There is even a bubbly water dispenser ! The hotel was 45 minutes walk to the center, and a 10 minute walk to the Vatican.

Renata is the super host. She is really helpful and accomodating. Breakfast car was really good considering this is a B&B style. Location is also good one, only 10 min walk from Vatican museum and there’re several bus stop options to go to tourist places.
