Close location to train station. Good value for a basic room.

Beware they keep your passport for the duration of your stay. Check in is through hotel located 30 m up the street.

This is the residence to the Mecenate Palace Hotel, which is next door, and looks very posh. You have to go there to check in, where you're greeted by really friendly staff (thanks a lot for the plug adaptor!) I had a very pleasant stay. The bed was big and comfortable, the room and the bathroom were both spacious, and I really liked the high ceilings. The residence is in a practical and atmospheric part of town, quite near (not too near!) the Termini Railway station and within walking distance of all the central sights. I'd certainly stay again.

It’s very close to Termini (5 min walk) and Residenza is very easy to locate as it’s a few doors down from the Hotel Mecenate. The staff was very helpful and took our luggage to the room for us. The room is spacious and they provided water for us in the room (one sparkling, one still)

I had no problem with the property but I do recommend to pack lite if booking here or be prepared to do some lifting as the rooms are on the first floor and there’s no lift.

Location was perfect. Staff exemplary. Quiet and safe, easy to use card entry. Well stocked with amenities. Air conditioning was super.

Location great - I needed to access train travel two days so wanted to be near main station yet out of the heaving throng right around it. This was 5 mins walk away in pleasant square so fitted the bill. Metro stations accessible. Termini station is actually a great shopping mall and food court area as well as trains so a good place to have nearby. My room was in a separate residential floor of neighbouring building to main hotel but I was able to access the hotel’s bar or go there for breakfast if I’d wanted (I never pay big bucks for buffet breakfasts which are never great - I grabbed breakfast economically at Termini food court each day). Room itself was really roomy and spacious. Bed really comfy and I slept brilliantly each night. Bathroom nice and big. Lots of storage. Nice and clean and made up each day. Mini bar meant you had a fridge if you removed (and replaced!) it’s contents which was great. It has good air con but the windows on room and bathroom opened which I loved - hate not having access to fresh air when staying somewhere. I think it was good value, given the price of other places I looked at - Rome is not cheap but this price compared well.

Main niggle is the Wi-Fi wasn’t perfect - kept dropping due to being on a busy channel and you’d have to wait 5-10 mins before you could get on it again. Woyld frustrate anyone trying to do any work/watch a movie in the evening. Shower was really weak. Not something the hotel can do much about/not a fault as such, but room was north facing so quite dark the whole time.

(1) The location is very good! Adjacent to the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station. It is very convenient to go to all the scenic spot. (2) There are many delicious restaurants around, having breakfast very easy. There is also a Chinese supermarket. (3) The room is not big, but it has complete facilities.(4) The check-in is at a neighboring hotel where luggage can be stored. The employees are very friendly.

(1) The facilities are a little bit outdated. (2) We arrived at the accommodation at noon and the staff told us that if we wanted to check in now, we could only choose the room without a kitchen. The room with a kitchen would have to wait until 2:30 pm to be ready. Early check-in is very humane, but it also means losing the room with a kitchen. But I think there are pros and cons.

This place is very conveniently located for a history buff type of tourist. You can walk to the main sites within a short amount of time or catch a train or metro from the central station which also happens to be nearby. Also, it has a rather upmarket rooftop bar in the main building. There are a lot of cafes and bakeries in the area for more breakfast options besides the one offered by the hotel.

It has a class interior but somewhat outdated and hence, at times you see wear and tear which should be taken care of.

Appreciate the dialogue leading up to arrival and super helpful to check in. The room was not in the main hotel and gave us the comfort of a full apartment. The facilities were what we needed and the space was amazing. Staff were always willing to assist and super professional. Air con was loved at the end of the long hot days. Will gladly recommend this establishment.

Just missed a microwave in the apartment to heat up the odd thing as and when needed. First world problems 😁

My partner and I liked the closeness of the bus station, the location, the staff, the cleanness, the roof bar, the comfort and the antique style of the building and its room. The area with the historical buildings and nice restaurants is also good.

The pre-communication could have been better when I wanted to make sure the accommodation is accessible by lift as I am wheelchair user. They said sure just to realize it's not. Then we got an accessible room with no additional fee which is actually correct as the one I originally booked was even more expensive. Then at checking out we were charged with 30 more euros (local taxes). That wasn't clear again: don't the prices displayed on the booking or website contain all the taxes?
