We were on our honeymoon and got upgraded to an amazing room! We loved the lush garden and the relaxed and gorgeous swimming pool! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The staff was super nice and helpful!

Only the breakfast could get an upgrade but other than that everything was wonderful

The hotel is in a lovely traditional village setting with quaint narrow streets within fortress walls. The views are amazing. I also liked how the hotel utilised other nearby properties for other things like breakfast which was outstanding.

Unusually it is difficult to find anything not to like about the hotel.

We discovered this hotel by accident and at the last minute about 7 years ago. When we decided to go back to visit Italy, this was number one on our list. It is romantic, historical with a beautiful large garden ideal for having a glass of wine before or after dinner. We made use of the spa and had a wonderful couples massage as well has having dinner and complimentary breakfast in their restaurant. It is a relaxing, get away from it all, kind of hotel in the middle of a classic Tuscan medieval village on a hill top. Walking around the village transports you into another time. It will always be on our list of places to visit and stay when we next come to Italy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through Tuscany! The staff are wonderful as well - helpful, vibrant, knowledgeable and enthusiastic!

The only thing I wish, is that the rooms were air conditioned. The first time we went was in the Spring so it was not necessary. This time it was late June and air conditioning would have been nice. but in the grand scheme of things, it was minor.

A stunning location with a great outdoor space. The staff went above and beyond in almost every aspect. An extremely enjoyable stay. FYI - The free car park just outside the city walls is a very short walk from the hotel, used it the entire stay without issue.

The location is amazing, the size of the room also was good.

A situation with a woman of the staff at the breakfast: she cleaned her nose and two seconds after with the same hands touched the glasses that she put on our table. We reported it to the manager of the hotel (who by the way was very kind and educated) and he reacted very professional.

Modern facilities with Tuscan beauty. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is done at a nearby restaurant (just few steps from hotel) and food is exquisite, also for lunch and dinner.

Great location and wanted to get some spa treatments to loosen up our muscles after walking the Via Francigena.

At first, we were given a very small, dark room on the ground floor which looked out onto the Bar area. But we asked for a better room since we were staying 2 nights, and the staff very politely accommodated us, which was very much appreciated.

The location was the most beautiful of the entire region of Tuscany. Loved the feel of being one the grounds of a castle wherever you walked with cobblestone roads, picturesque views and gardens.

Great room for our family of 4, felt like Rapunzels tower at times with a sofa for the kids in the loft area. Beautiful property that grew on us, very quaint and relaxing, great breakfast, pool area (although the pool was smaller than expected), good selection of restaurants very close by and in a beautiful location. Parking nearby is free.

The entrance gate to the ancient village where the hotel is located is TINY, but we fit our car through with guidance, a few flights of stairs to our suite were a little tricky with suitcases. Pack bug spray- lots of mosquitos by the pool and at breakfast

Everything. The room was very comfortable and clean . It had all the amenities you could ask for. The guys at the reception were very kind and helpful. Will for sure return again.
