Location was excellent, in a quiet part of the old town. Lliterally metres from the main piazzas and so many good bars and restaurants. Amy was a wonderful host. Friendly, helpful and very efficient. The room is new and very stylish. It’s very clean and everything is in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, the amenities were excellent. We also had the bonus of a cooked breakfast which doesn’t happen often in Italy. Breakfast served in the terrace that overlooks an small Piazza below… just a lovely stay. All in all, I highly recommend this accomodation.

Staff was wonderful and welcoming. I absolutely loved the fact that there’s few rooms and although I feared it would feel a bit like staying in someone’s home or extra house it really felt like a hotel in a mini version. The location is gorgeous, nestled in a little alley and windows towards a square with restaurants. Despite this it was never loud or rowdy. Beds are on the former side but very comfortable and breakfast was a true delight! Out of all the hotels I stayed in in Sicily this week this has by far been the best and I will 100% return to stay here whenever I come back to Sicily.

I had to miss breakfast the last day because we left at 8 and breakfast was severed from 8:30.

Location was amazing - next to the Cathedral and in a very cute little street. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning is great (not many options, quite basic but more than enough). Our host was absolutely lovely, taking care of everything for us. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was also of excellent quality. Great stay !

My fiance Kerrie and I just stayed at the excellent Avolio tailored rooms it was our very favourite stay in Sicily, we really enjoyed our stay it was spotlessly clean, Emmie was there help us with everything so friendly great breakfast and Bianca was excellent in communicating with us and gave great recommendations for ortigia they are a great team!! The accommodation is right in the hear of ortigia very convenient and just the best !! Just go you won’t regret it !!! Fergus&kerrie x

Nothing, utter perfection

Very conveniently located in the heart of Ortigia inside a wonderfully restored and very tastefully redecorated old building. The room was spotless and overlooking a quaint - and very quiet - little square from which you access the main street that leads to the Duomo. I didn’t meet the owner but the host (Emmie) was super helpful throughout my stay with her tips to the best sites/beaches nearby and transportation. I couldn’t have picked a better place for my stay in Siracusa!

Sicily was sweltering hot in the summer so I was delighted my AC and shower both worked very well. The young lady taking care of Avolio was very professional and offered the best service. The breakfast menu was limited but high quality and well prepared and served. It was pleasant to take the breakfast on the rooftop. It is very centrally located near il Duomo in Ortigia. However Avolio itself is not easily located behind some restaurants in a courtyard and through a tunnel. Also, there is no bell so checking in late at night was challenging. It would have been nice if there were a pantry in the common area stocked with some flatware and plates but the young lady who runs the operation accommodated me upon request. Those were my only real complaints throughout a very pleasant stay.

Breakfast on the terrace, good lounge space with coffee/hot drinks facility. Great housekeeping - tidy and clean. Thank you to our host, Emmie, who was efficient and helpful and made our lovely breakfasts😊

The place is just beautiful, the design and attention to details are amazing. Though the best part of our stay was Emy, the manager, she was kind and warm and quick and precise we just loved her. Absolutely a home away from home. One tiny note, the wifi could be improved, very slow.
