It was very clean, spatious, with excellent location (2 min from the main street via Roma). There was house keeping every day, with towel change every 3 days. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Many thanks to Valentina, who gave us a map with her personal recommendations for restaurants, beaches and places to visit. Overall, excellent place to stay 1 week as a family.

The shower stand was kind of old and not up to standard with everything else. And also, we particularly would enjoy a bit more savory items at breakfast, like cheeses and meats, although I can see how in the hot climate this might not work very well.

The location was center to see all the sites. The front office staff including Tina was very helpful in outline of tourist sites and requests for restaurants and for getting Easter info at the Duomo. Morning breakfast staff also very nice and provided wonderful cappuccinos! Parking is convenient and you pay extra for it.

Unfortunately I chose the B&B because of the beautiful roof top breakfast site then when we got there found out it is only open in the summer. Also ask for a room away from center courtyard with Tapas Bar as it is extremely loud!

Extremely nice and helpful staff to begin with. Spacious rooms and the property in general is very nicely decorated. Nice breakfast and, if you want/need something extra they will bring/prepare it for you. The location is also perfect , as it is in the middle of Ortigia but not in a busy/noisy street and you can walk around the island easily.

Breakfast is served in the terrace. Although it looks nice, it gets hot quite quickly there (we stayed at the beginning of July) despite the sun protection. Therefore the best is to have breakfast as soon as it is open, at 8am. There is a nice space at the first floor where eventually breakfast could be served, but I acknowledge the complications l, given that the kitchen is located two floors up.

Air conditioning listed but does not work to cool room as they only switch it to cooling in May. Roof terrace initially locked and told we couldn't use it until I said I was dissapointed. I booked the exclusive suite but the pictures didn't match the room. The room matched the slightly cheaper one bedroom suite. For example there was no large balcony with seats and had a large double bed rather than extra large. Complained to staff but they said it was correct room which I still don't understand. Saying that the room we had was lovely, just feel slightly cheated given the slight room price difference on booking.com.

We loved I Santi Coronati! I arrange all our bookings and initially my husband wasn't sure about stopping in Ortigia; however he agreed that I Santi Coronati was the highlight of our trip. Valentina and Claudia were incredibly helpful, and communication was good before we even arrived. Firstly, there is parking onsite (Unheard if in Ortigia), in a secure gated area behind the hotel. Our room (with a small balcony), was charming. (My husband did find the shower tricky although I personally didn't) Breakfast has a great selection of foods which vary slightly daily and coffee is served by really helpful staff. Some of the surrounding street doesn't look that appealing with its derelict buildings etc but actually we even found that charming in the end. Ortigia has such incredible history that it is just overwhelming and this hotel is the perfect location to base yourself to explore. A minutes walk away from the Fontana Diana or Strada Roma; you can get to all the main sights from here by foot, with great restaurants too. In the other direction is the Guideccia with it's maze of streets, ancient Puppet Theatre (Take the tour!) and street food shops- which we wish we wish we'd found faster! Valentina was so incredibly helpful; she was so kind about my attempts at Italian, she spoke excellent English, gave us useful advice, a marked street map and generally was so friendly, professional and kind. I just wished we could have stayed longer; if we ever return we would stay here without question.

We have just returned from a glorious week in Ortigia at the I Santi Coronati. Beforehand we were rather nervous with the term B&B. What we found was three floors within an old building that were cool, modern and very elegant. Our ‘exclusive use’ suite consisted of a large airy bedroom, and a sitting room in which were located two single sofa beds, for use as beds at small extra charge. Perfect for families. We are a couple used to separate bedrooms so it was ideal - one slight drawback, the single bed made up in the ‘other room’ was on the small side but perfectly okay. Immaculately clean. Staff brilliant without exception but Valentina on reception truly outstanding, as were the breakfast ladies. Lovely terrace for breakfast and then for use of guests throughout the day. Access time of 3.00pm a little difficult but was possible to leave luggage earlier, in our case because the reception happened to be manned: it is at stated times but not throughout the day. Unbeatable location, minutes from the two main squares at the heart of this most atmospheric and uniquely beautiful old town Would be delighted to stay again and are planning to do so!

Trivial, but repeated messages for garage space reservation that we did not ask for and did not want - no problem on arrival. Less trivial our first suite was immediately next to reception and could be a bit noisy at checking in times. Moved with no difficulty to a quieter location but something to watch out for when booking if particularly noise sensitive.

Beautiful bedroom suite. Very clean and staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast Terrace is very beautiful and peaceful offering variety of food. Reception was also very friendly and helpful in providing all instructions on how to get to the hotel. I was late in arriving so they offered me all the instructions in order for me to find the key and remote for parking space. The location of the hotel is also great, right by a myriad of restaurants and monumental sites. I highly recommend.

Location was prime and beautiful breakfast each morning. Aircon was appreciated on the top floor. Beds comfortable and nice view of both water and city.

Our toilet gave us trouble across the three days we stayed. It was required that we threw our toilet paper into a bin however this bin was not emptied for the three days we were there. Both bedroom and bathroom doors would not stay closed and had to be slammed multiple times to stay shut for privacy. This may just be our room on top floor and reception did come to try and fix the toilet but the issues persisted. Also, wifi did not reach our room on the top floor.

We loved the location of this hotel, right in the heart of Syracuse. The lady who checked us in and the man who checked us out (possibly the owners?) were really friendly and helpful, especially with assisting us to park on-site. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and modern, with excellent aircon. It had everything we needed and we were perfectly happy with it. We didn't hear any noise and had a good night's sleep. The building itself is attractively decorated, with a calm and peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace, which was fantastic. There was an excellent selection of pastries and cakes on offer, and the ones we tried were very tasty. Excellent coffee, too.

The accommodation had everything we needed - there was nothing we didn't like.

- No wifi in the room, as mentioned in another review. Other hotels offer dedicated router in each room, and that would be expected at this pricepoint - Remote control for the heat in one room didn't work - Parking was an incremental 20 euros, when it was a vacant parking lot. It seemed to be something the hotel could provide on a complimentary basis for guests. We fortunately found free parking on the street in front of the hotel, but there weren't many spots for it
