The apartment is nearly in the center of Ortigia. We got there with transfer from the airport, the place was easy to be found. Both receptionists who we met spoke english, they also showed us the beaches and the most important sights to see. The apartment was big enough for us and well equipped. The bedroom had some cupboards for storage, wardrobe and a comfortable bed. The air conditioner in the living room kept the whole place at a pleasant temperature. The kitchen had everything we needed: induction stove, fridge, microwave, coffee brewer. I was a bit worried, as many comments here mentioned that the bathroom was not clean enough. I can say that our bathroom was fully clean, with new-like tap and shower. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. The place of the hotel was awesome, at the center of Ortigia. There were many great places nearby to grab a coffee in the morning with freshly made croissants, delicious panini, also some restaurant and wine house for the night. The beach were just a few minutes away from there. Everything that's needed is really near to the hotel. We had a very good time there and likely we'll go back, probably in this same hotel.

The only thing that we missed a bit was a washing machine. As we didn't bring many clothes on the plane, a washing machine would be good, but as the bathroom is not big enough, we didn't have one. Apart from that everything was great.

The property is ideally located, just a short walk from the main attractions and the beach. We stayed on the first floor, and a kind staff member graciously assisted us with our luggage, which was greatly appreciated given that there is no elevator—something to keep in mind for guests with mobility concerns. The room, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean and exceptionally spacious.

One consideration for future guests is that mobile reception in the area is limited, and the Wi-Fi connection was not consistently reliable, which made internet access challenging at times. Additionally, our room was situated directly across from a nearby rock cafe/bar, which became quite noisy in the evening and unfortunately disrupted our sleep.

Location very central on the island so a perfect spot for viewing all of the highlights the island has to offer. Within easy walk of the bathing platform which is great for access to the water and snorkeling to view the many fish. The roof terrace accessed from the room gave us a lovely view of the sea and a great spot to have breakfast in the sunshine.

No lift (we knew this when we booked) so expect a lot of stairs. The stairwell can be noisy if there are children staying who tend to shout from several floors below.

I’d stayed here 8 yrs ago and it was a full-feature hotel. Today it’s a bit more like an AirBnb. Staff is seldom there and there’s no coffee or even rudimentary breakfast available. You’re kind of on your own mostly and as long as everything goes well that’s great. Maybe it’s a staffing issue. Puzzled at why there’re are little kitchens without ANY plates cups or spoons even.

the room was actually a two room suite. the location is very good for getting around Ortigia, but it is located right next to a popular church, so It can get a little loud. There was much excellent food withing feet of the front door and it is only a very short walk to the Duomo and the another main piazza.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like that was exceptional in any way for a visit to an Italian city. Most towns can be noisy and it seems to be a feature of the 6 hotels I stayed in on this trip that the beds are quite firm.

The property was in the heart of the old town Ortigia. We had a room on the 3rd floor, although the stairs could be a bit of a challenge the room was cute and had a great view. The staff were very accommodating with pointing out things to see and do. It was nice to step from the property and be in the middle of the old town. We found parking at a Talete lot and paid to leave the car for 2 days which was handy.

A few more glasses, cutlery and a dish towel in the kitchen would of been helpful.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. We had the suite with the rooftop terrace and it was a perfect place to rest up and enjoy the view between sightseeing expeditions.

The stairs could be a problem for those with mobility issues. And parking is a challenge if you are driving a car into Ortigia, but we had no problems stashing our rental car in a nearby garage for 20 euros a night. If you do drive in, it's within the ZTL and you give your license plate number to the staff and they can register with the police to cancel the ZTL fine.

The location was perfect! We had a huge room on the top floor with a private patio, and it was wonderful to be able to go outside and watch the birds fly around at sunset and see the ocean across multiple sides of the island. The staff have great recommendations and we were close to everything.

The 3rd/4th floor walk up was a bit tiring after a few days, and the floors didn’t feel super clean. There was a kitchen in the room but no pots etc to use to cook. We were there for 4 nights so it would have been nice to use the kitchen. Not a huge deal though as there is obviously an abundance of wonderful restaurants right outside!

incredibly hard to find - they need to improve their instructions as we were one of several people staying there who got lost. and it took the BnB an hour to reply to me when I said we were lost. also: would be nice if they provided real cups rather than paper ones. finally:we and another group followed the host’s restaurant suggestion and it was not very good so maybe just do your own research, there are so many great places in ortigia, shouldn’t be hard

Our train had a problem so we arrived very late in the evening, well after our check-in time, but the management was very nice and sent us detailed instructions, including a video, on how to find and enter the hotel, and left the keys by the entrance for us. This made our arrival perfect, after an exhausting day. The staff also gave us a good restaurant recommendation the following day. The room was quite large, more like a mini-suite, with a separate room with sofa, table, and TV. This is hard to find in Europe at this price.

I know many old buildings do not have a lift but I would have given a 10 if it had one, because we are seniors.
