Breakfast does not match the expectation - it costs 10euro but the quality of food is cheap, low-quality ingredients, and therefore I would advise having it in one of the few bars around, which are great, and less expensive. Location is really nice and well situated, as the room it is in an internal patio, so it is quiet.

In the room, the shower box was broken, and the sink was leaking water on the floor. Said this, the room was really cheap and therefore this was compensated for those inconveniences. It is possible to leave the languages at the reception only until 1.00, which may not be convenient if someone wants to spend the afternoon in Ortigia - normally, tourist places do not have these restrictions.

Everything! All the staff were amazing, friendly and extremely helpful. If they couldn't communicate with you directly they would get someone that could. I must also commend the reception and guides for their unending patience with some of the most obnoxious tourists ever seen! On Ortiga 10 days longer than planned stayed in almost as many hotels. Rebooked this one whenever rooms became available. Each room had a unique layout. People who have trouble with stairs will need to keep this in mind as some have winding stair access otherwise I cannot think of a better hotel on the island.

Excellent location & very helpful staff who waited patiently for us to find our way there before closing for the siesta period. The rooms in the main hotel are really spacious. Breakfast (for an extra cost) was good.

The external public areas are lovely but the rooms are shabby. We started off in the annexe (not main hotel) in a room that looked out at a nice courtyard but the room itself was dark and the bathroom 'tired' looking. The chairs in the courtyard needed a good clean so it wasn't possible to sit on them. We were able to move into the hotel itself into a lovely big space but it needed a refresh: the toilet seat was wonky and the sofa sagged. The bedroom with two beds was cramped (no need for such a large wardrobe in it).

Breakfast at €8 excellent value and being march there was a log fire in the breakfast room. the architecture is very interesting. The sofas in the suite were very comfortable as were the beds with duvets. I would recommend it and definitely rebook the hotel again

The lighting at the top of the wooden steps to the top bedroom. I would suggest at night it might be precarious for someone with poor eyesight coming down to the bathroom. There was no light in the small kitchenette cupboard to see to pour boiling water from the kettle. Suggest one table lamp in lounge seating area would improve the ambience and facilitate reading. Toilet seat was wobbly needed fastening. That said I would definitely stay again

Unbelievable location, 2-4 min away from the centre of Ortigia, less than a min walking from the sea. The building is quite ancient and built with stones, so the heat was never an issue, and when it was we had air-conditioning. The staff was super helpful and proactive, but discreet at the same time.

The shower water was never fully hot, although this was not an actual issue as it was too warm outside to have a hot shower. We didn't even flag it to the staff. Nice and refreshing

The location was ideal for wandering around Ortigia on foot, close to everything. Loved the historic feel of the building retained in its renovation (old stone arches, etc.), and the readily available tours of the ancient Roman well and ancient mikvah baths far beneath the hotel (hidden from the late 1400s until rediscovered in 1986). We also arrived early and the hotel staff accommodated us with one ready room in which to leave our belongings and freshen up.

I loved the look and feel of the property. The hotel has tons of character. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It came with a small kitchenette. Breakfast, which included eggs made to order, was only €8 in the renovated historic dining rooms. My off season rate was extremely reasonable. The only thing I didn’t like was the poor internet reception. That might have been because my room was in a different building from the main area. I was worried while walking over that my room might not be as nice as others in the main building, but it was wonderful.

The hotel is like a small museum to spend your time in Syracuse. The atmosphere is cozy and peaceful. It is close to all the attractions in Ortigia, but it is on a quiet little street away from the main streets and it makes it reyally relaxing place. The team is kind and attentive and you have enough personal space without being deprived of support for your needs.

There is no view from the hotel but it's normal in the narrow streets in the old town. The sea is a street away and the views are quite close. The facility is really old and it has its specifics - no elevator, old shower cabin and kitchen corner. But you have all that you need and the rooms are spacious and nice.

This is a gorgeous property. We stayed in a 2 bedroom with a kitchenette. Everything was spacious and well equipped. The bedding was scrumptious which was important as we were there in February. This room even had a little courtyard off of the main living space. The location was excellent being about a block to the sea. Perfect for a seaside stroll around the island. We found many dining options close by both casual and upscale. We parked at Talete which worked out well as it was about a 15 minute walk.

Quiet, large one bedroom apartment. We also had a balcony with an ocean view. Breakfast had the usual cheese and ham plus a whole array of baked goods. Eggs were prepared upon request

One of the stuff persons was friendly and knowledgeable, the other less so.
