The hotel is a throw back to the early 20th century - very old world charm. The location can't be beat - right on the water. And it's a short walk from the hotel to all the sites, restaurants, attractions in Ortigia. The room was comfortable, again, very old world decor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in a roof-top lounge with amazing views.

Everything was very nice, so I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like. If you're looking for a modern hotel this isn't your place. The furnishings could use a refresh, and the rooftop would be a great location for a bar/lounge. But there are plenty in town.

Perfect location for a beautiful view and just out of the centre so less noisy and crowded, yet everything within easy reach. Breakfast was ample and fresh, with a variety of savouries and sweets. Staff friendly and accommodating. Room a nice size, comfortable large bed. We had a good sea view,

The restaurant and bar were closed, it would have been nice to have had a drink on the roof terrace which was also closed some of the time. The well-being centre is being re-furnished, so there was nothing in the hotel to remain and relax, you had to go out. The shower was complicated and it was difficult to turn the knobs to take advantage of the jacuzzi system.

Well booking a single room brings a chance that the room will be small, but I did not expect to have a rooftop terrace just for myself in that time of the year. I enjoyed me-time with the view there ;)

I did not like that in Sicilia, litters are almost everywhere. People should take care more about their beautiful island ;)

Loved this hotel. It’s the staff that makes it so special. Arshan is lovely at reception he is so helpful and friendly with everything I needed. Rana at breakfast was the happiest person I’ve ever met in my life so early in the morning,it made each day such a lovely start. Both staff really deserve a pay rise or a special award. The room is sparkling clean by housekeeping. The hotel itself is in the best location,particularly if you have a room with seaview balcony, listening to the sound of the ocean waves going to sleep and waking up is magical. The place to get into the sea is only one minute walk as well where you will see beautiful sunrise and sunset and swim.

Beautiful Hotel just around the shore! Old town is also just around the corner, aswell as nice restaurants. As we got there, our shower wands were broken, we told the stuff and immediately got it fixed. we even got a new room. the stuff was always very friendly and helpful! very nice experience!

Location is excellent. Air condition excellent. Receptionist I forgot his name is very well educated and takes care of all the clients. Very professional. Lady upstairs who handles the breakfast has the loveliest smile ever. Breakfast is excellent as well. Bathroom is clean and its of a really good size. I loved this hotel.

Maybe for the price you pay, the could give you the drink in fridge as complimentary. For 2 cans of small coke I was charged 7 euros.

Ortigia is a beautiful little town and Hotel Livingston is in a perfect location. Our room was very comfortable and had a BEAUTIFUL view of the sea. You don't see the sunset from this side but can enjoy the beautiful sunrise if you're a morning person! The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood right next to a popular swimming spot where all the locals come. There are plenty of delicious breakfast options laid out daily and the host is very pleasant.

Most wonderful staff, incredibly kind to us and very helpful in explaining directions, helping us to navigate Ortigia and wider Syracuse. Go above and beyond to help us relax, very good facilities including weights room and mini gym. Restaurant staff very accomodating and concientious of us. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

The location was great as you are within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, and cafes. The breakfast buffet, while OK, I had the best damn orange juice I have ever had! The staff was very polite and friendly.

I didn't like the showers—no need for a jacuzzi shower that smelled funny. The bed was uncomfortable, which is par for Italy.

The location was great. It was in walking distance of everything. The staff arranged to have our car parked at a nearby parking garage. They gave us great restaurant recommendations. Breakfast was terrific and the view was lovely. The hop on hop off bus was across the street. We could not ask for more.
