While the hotel could perhaps benefit from a bit of an update, our stay was made exceptional because of the wonderful staff. My mother’s arthritis had flared up dramatically and Daniele, Guiseppe, Sabato and Daniele II could not have been kinder or more helpful, from sourcing a doctor and helping us to buy a walking stick to simple acts of kindness like helping her navigate stairs, bringing water and so on. A special mention should also go to Chiara in the breakfast room and the charming ladies who kept our room so spotless. The hotel is wonderfully located and our room had a gorgeous sea view, but was a little on the small side. The breakfast was great too.

The sun terrace is a missed opportunity. A few plants, some parasols and sun loungers would make it much more inviting. Similarly, much more could be done with the bar. The bar man makes great drinks, and updating the decor and perhaps providing bar snacks would make it much more of a draw for guests and visitors.

The hotel is a throw back to the early 20th century - very old world charm. The location can't be beat - right on the water. And it's a short walk from the hotel to all the sites, restaurants, attractions in Ortigia. The room was comfortable, again, very old world decor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in a roof-top lounge with amazing views.

Everything was very nice, so I wouldn't say there was anything I didn't like. If you're looking for a modern hotel this isn't your place. The furnishings could use a refresh, and the rooftop would be a great location for a bar/lounge. But there are plenty in town.

The hotel is in an amazing location right on the seafront in the magical, historical town of Ortigia and exudes classical charm. Our room had beautiful seaviews and was clean and comfortable. The dining room was on the terrace commanding wonderful views over the bay and the city of Syracuse. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Ortigia market, the main square and Cathedral, bars and restaurants. There is even a small lido where you can swim nearby.

Well booking a single room brings a chance that the room will be small, but I did not expect to have a rooftop terrace just for myself in that time of the year. I enjoyed me-time with the view there ;)

I did not like that in Sicilia, litters are almost everywhere. People should take care more about their beautiful island ;)

Perfect location for a beautiful view and just out of the centre so less noisy and crowded, yet everything within easy reach. Breakfast was ample and fresh, with a variety of savouries and sweets. Staff friendly and accommodating. Room a nice size, comfortable large bed. We had a good sea view,

The restaurant and bar were closed, it would have been nice to have had a drink on the roof terrace which was also closed some of the time. The well-being centre is being re-furnished, so there was nothing in the hotel to remain and relax, you had to go out. The shower was complicated and it was difficult to turn the knobs to take advantage of the jacuzzi system.

Loved this hotel. It’s the staff that makes it so special. Arshan is lovely at reception he is so helpful and friendly with everything I needed. Rana at breakfast was the happiest person I’ve ever met in my life so early in the morning,it made each day such a lovely start. Both staff really deserve a pay rise or a special award. The room is sparkling clean by housekeeping. The hotel itself is in the best location,particularly if you have a room with seaview balcony, listening to the sound of the ocean waves going to sleep and waking up is magical. The place to get into the sea is only one minute walk as well where you will see beautiful sunrise and sunset and swim.

Beautiful Hotel just around the shore! Old town is also just around the corner, aswell as nice restaurants. As we got there, our shower wands were broken, we told the stuff and immediately got it fixed. we even got a new room. the stuff was always very friendly and helpful! very nice experience!

The location is excellent. The hotel is in the center of the ortigia right by the sea with spectacular views from the roof. But at the same time it is very quiet there.

I wish the breakfast was better. There was a vast selection and even a fresh squeezed orange juice. But somehow prepared food was not very tasty.

Room was surprisingly small and dark, felt very cramped. No shelves, no open spaces to set things on. Decor from decades ago. Not uncomfortable, but not very pleasant either.

Breakfast was excellent with large choice of offerings The front desk staff was amazing, giving directions, restaurant suggestions and just nice!!

Can’t think of a single thing we didn’t like. The view from our room was breathtaking. I could see the sea from the bed!!
