We chose Spigolehouse mainly because we were looking for a good location not too far from Ortigia, at walking distance, but also close enough to Neapolis Archaeological Site and the highway, since we were visiting also the surroundings. Another important aspect for us was the possibility to park the car on the premises, something pretty difficult had we been to lodge in Ortigia. The breakfast was a nice surprise, as we were given the possibility to choose among several cafes and we found a wonderful one. Nice bathroom too, comfy beds, clean premises.

For someone looking for a view, Spigolehouse may not be the perfect choice, as part of the rooms open towards the surrounding blocks of flats. However, it suits best travelers who are looking for a good and clean place to stay while mainly visiting the city, not sun bathing on the balcony.

Great hotel near the ancient theater in Siracusa. We went for a play as well as walking around the archaeological park. Additionally, it was pretty easy bus/walking distance to Ortigia. The parking inside the property was wonderful and perfect for our classic car. It's even shaded most of the day! We were comfortable in our room, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. Highly recommended in Siracusa, where parking is impossible.

Excellent location and beautiful place for a breakfast that was very close by and excellent choices. Having the options for breakfast locations was also appreciated. The private parking lot and security features made us feel at ease. Accessibility was well instructed. The room was clean, comfortable, modern and efficient. Very quiet for being on a main road. Friendly and helpful owner that we could keep in touch with. Perfecto!

We stayed there for only 1 night and haven't met the staff because we had a keyless entry but everything worked well, the room was very clean and the location is really good. They also have a free parking space which was very important for us. We also got a voucher for breakfast at the cafe.

Centrally located, parking a great asset. Easy process of checkin etc. Had delicious pastry at Bar Ulma with the breakfast voucher provided.

On a busy street, doors stopped a lot of noise but could hear sirens occasionally.

We forgot our keys in the room and we contacted the owner 1 day after leaving. He is active and kept us updated the situation. Someone went there and find our keys, which is really important for us. Thanks for your help !

This is great accommodation. Easy to find, plenty of parking on site, safe and close walking distance to the delights of Syracusa. We are a family of 4 (2 adult children) and loved the space, privacy and proximity of the rooms to each other. Excellent communication on entry instructions, breakfast vouchers (redeemed at cafe 5 minutes walk) and also departure process. The cleaning lady helped with an ironing board request and also taking the City Tax and organising change. We would highly recommend Spigole House

Very nice and clean accomodation, with private parking and breakfast included, and walking distance to everything weneeded.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Initially we had an issue with wifi access but they fixed it the next day. They were also helpful with regard to check-in and car parking which allowed us to make the most of our stay.
