The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and the bathroom was in excellent condition. Location was pretty good too. Breakfast was adequate with the help of a server and her homemade cake was delicious! Plenty of bottle water supplied which was a pleasant perk. Management was very helpful with flexible check-in and parking suggestion.

The way property was presented on booking was a bit deceiving. It was more of an Airbnb setup than a hotel. It was an apartment with 4 bedrooms off a kitchen area. So other than the small kitchen, there was no space to go other than your room which was lovely and ours had a small balcony.

Great location as you are right in the centre of town, but big car park Talete only 5 mins walk away. Recommend you download the Easypark App before you get to car park then its simple. Good security at b&b & they let us keep our cases there for a bit after we checked out. Room clean and had everything we needed.Nice breakfast & two lovely ladies helped us with everything in the morning and we managed to have fun conversation even tho we don't speak Italian and they did not speak much English. Really warm and welcoming & we were probably a bit of a nuisance but they really went out of their way to make us feel happy.

We got a bit lost trying to find the place - but it was totally our stupidity as we went into the wrong building & they were very kind and very patient when we had to call them.

The breakfast was great. There was meat and cheese and little pizzas that were delicious, along with a homemade cake and pastries. The coffee was fabulous. They had those prickly pear cactus for us to try. That was a bonus and tasted great. We faced the street and there was a little balcony with a table and two chairs. We heard music twice plus there was a little music band going down the street. We saw a military horse team with men and women in crisp beautiful uniforms going down the street. The bed was great.

The bathroom was really small. The dining are was also small, but you can eat outside which was great. We only had one day where there was a parking problem, where we had to park off the island. We liked parking at Parking Della Marina. Parking was expensive.

Excellent location if you want to stay in the historical center of Siracusa! Very clean and comfortable room, the continental breakfast has a large choices of sweets and savoury. Parking is only 400m walk from the accomodation and we recommend to park before dropping bags as the B&B is in a ZTL zone (limited access to vehicles).

The B&B has four rooms around a central small breakfast room. You can also have breakfast on a small balcony at the back. Sufficiently good breakfast with bread, cereals, sweets, yoghurt, fruit and coffee. Centrally located in historic Ortigia on the fourth floor of a building with some traffic in the street during the day. But at night it is very quiet on the street. Also in the room there was no noise to be heard unless the neighbours were talking very loudly. Restaurants and terraces nearby and many eateries near the cathedral. The location of the B&B gives you the opportunity to visit both the whole of Ortigia and the sights such as the catacombs and the Greek theatre on the mainland on foot. Hopefully you like some walking. After booking, you will be asked at what time you wish to check in and to contact the owner by telephone upon arrival. The front door downstairs will then be opened automatically and you will be explained (also in English) how to get to the fourth floor and to the B&B. That's how I got in. The access card for my room was supposed to be there. But it turned out not to be in the right place. No worries. A friendly, older gentleman was sent immediately who found the access card. So that was not a problem. For the duration of your stay you can always enter the apartment and your room on your own. You actually don't see anyone else except the only Italian speaking lady who comes to prepare breakfast in the morning. The room and bathroom (with shower) were fine, tidy and there is nothing to complain about. My room was at the front of the building and as mentioned, it was quiet there at night. Well-functioning air conditioning.

When checking in, it was said that if you have a question, you can always ask it by phone or by email via booking.com. I had a few less important questions later and asked them by email. However, I got no answer. Not really a problem for me, but I think that when someone makes a promise, he should keep it. Fortunately, I got the answers in another way. Perhaps the owner thought that a landlord of accommodation ceases his responsibility when a question is asked that is not specifically related to the accommodation…. In that sense, the reception of a hotel usually functions better. But hotels in Siracusa are much more expensive (very expensive) and this is not something that should prevent anyone from booking in this place.

The building is near to Piazza Archimede , Piazza Duomo and the sea. It is at 15-20 minutes by foot from bus terminal (autostazione) Nice view from the room with sea view Helpful host Italian breakfast -ok Water, juice, yogurts, fruits, cookies freely for guests

The shower head was dirty. We cleaned it . Noisy alley , due to terraces opened till late. The pilows are not comfy.

Good location within easy reach of local amenities, shopping, restaurants etc. Comfortable bed and clean room. Friendly staff . Nice home made cake!

Loose tap in bathroom and aircon unit began to drip water on second night. Usual road noise for street location to be expected.

It was central to the historical part of Siracusa

The cleaning lady was loud! Instead of waiting for us to finish breakfast or wait until we leave for the morning , she was always in a hurry to clean up around us First thing is the morning , too loud and talkative needs to be a little quieter

Great location, excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room (with good air con!), and very attentive host who was very communicative and was kind enough to be flexible with our arrival time when our plane was delayed. Would definitely recommend

Just note that it's difficult if you have a pram - there are steps up to the lift and the lift is tiny! Not a fault of Casa de Rei itself though! Also only had one key card which made things a little difficult on occasion

Excellent location near everything in Ortigia. It was easy to go some place and come back really quickly to drop things off or take a break. Clean and comfortable room, and everything looked and felt really nice.

The walls aren't very soundproof, but it didn't disturb me.
