the apartment is perfectly located: restaurants, shops, market, the bay, the beach - everything is near, the train station is 12min walk (also the bus station) which is perfect if you want to explore the area by bus or train as the towns nearby has a lot to offer. Anita has picked us up at the train station the day we have arrived as we took train from Catania and drove us to the accommodation with her husband and presented the apartment to us. Everything was up to our expectations, the place was very clean and neat and smelled lovely :) Anita has brought us cookies she had made herself and they were absolutely delicious. I would recommend staying here.

The apartment is comfortable, very clean and well decorated for a vacation visit to Ortigia. The location is exceptional, you can walk to every where in the island. In addition, the owner Anita is so courteous she picked us up at the out of town parking lot and brought us to the apartment so we would not have to be pulling our luggage all around town. When we got to the apartment she had a person bring our luggage’s to the apartment. The same was true when we departed.

Nothing, well we did not like we had to leave.

A warm welcome, great location, spacious apartment in a glorious building! The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, Anita even left us some baked goods to enjoy and let us know we could get the lift to the top floor to enjoy a fantastic view of Ortigia.

The apartment we had was fantastic. There is an elevator in the building. The apt was a great size, very comfortable bed, kitchen, dining and couch/seating area, walk-in wardrobe, great sized bathroom. The location is amazing, in Ortigia, close to everything, the food market, Apollo, Diana's fountain, pedestrian streets full of restaurants and shops, two supermarkets within 2 mins walk. We could walk to couple of small beaches and we would recommend this accommodation to anyone. We were met by Anita who was amazing, very friendly and helpful, she gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant on our first night, and walked us there! and she brought us to the bus for our return to Catania airport. We will return.

We would have loved a balcony, but not possible at this location obviously! That being said, we had so many cafes, gelateria and restaurants on our doorstep, it was not a deal breaker by any stretch.

The owner and staff were friendly! Big space, it was truly comfortable for the 3 of us. I really appreciated the included espresso machine and espresso, made getting up and starting our day so easy. Having an elevator was much needed as we traveled with my grandparents and they needed it. The apartment included info and recommendations which made our trip so much easier! Will definitely book again the next time I come to Ortigia.

The bathroom shower could use a little update other wise the size and everything else in the bathroom was perfect!

This apartment was the best we have encountered. It was spotless, with lots of space and had everything we needed. Anita was a wonderful host. She took the initiative and organised a vehicle pass for us so that we wouldn’t be fined for entering any restricted zone. She met us at the property so we could unload our luggage and then escorted us to the parking station. Any inquiry we had was quickly answered. The breakfast pastries were outstanding. The apartment block had a rooftop terrace overlooking Siracusa - great for a sunset drink! We could not fault this place and would gladly stay here again.

Anita was super kind & collected us from the bus terminal in Syracuse. The apartment is a great size, in a building on one of the main streets in Ortigia. It is extremely well appointed with a good size bedroom, walk in wardrobe, separate sitting room etc the photos don’t do it justice, a true home from home. Anita left us the most delicious home baked cake & even offered to return us to the station when we left. We loved it !

There is no outside space but we knew that when we booked.

Thank you, Mrs. Anita, for your warm welcome. First, a surprise with picking us up with luggage from the bus station to the very clean apartment. And secondly, for the delicious tart and meringues that were waiting for us. Elegant apartment, wooden floor! comfortable beds, new windows with blinds that effectively suppress the noise from the outside and beautiful curtains . We had everything we needed plus a washing machine with a small dryer. Apartment cleaned, linen and towels changed. The price of the apartment includes an Italian breakfast (toast, butter, jams, chocolate, juices, coffee, water). Apartment on the beautiful Matteotti street close to everything, grocery store around the corner, right next to Viola cafe and restaurants. We spent a wonderful 11 days. If we ever come back to Sicily, we will definitely go to the Residence Matteotti. We also recommend a very good bar with delicious coffee, cannoli, granita and drinks decorated in a beautiful style! Erminio, the fantastic owner and the bar is called Erminio Bar. We really recommend you to drop by, and not only once. It is on the road to bus and train station, very convenient to start or end trips. Another good bar with delicious coffee and cornetto is Bar del Corso on Corso Umberto. We recommend delicious ice cream in the Voglia Matta bar also on Corso Umbertto. On the other hand, the best car rental is I-Rent on Corso Umberto 1, 4 96100 Siracusa - normal prices and not excessive as in traditional chain stores, eg AWIZ, Rent a Car.

Terrific location above the main retail street in the middle of Ortigia. Spacious and well presented apartment. And a wonderful host; Anita is very friendly, very helpful and very easy to communicate with.

The apartment can be a bit noisy late at night. The big laneway behind the apartment is very busy with cafes and music. But, of course, you are in a busy place!

Everything about this property was wonderful. The location was perfect; within walking distance to everything. The kitchen was completely stocked with utensils and even with some condiments. The large bathroom had plenty of towels. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and detergent, a drying rack and an ironing board. Best of all was Anita and her assistant. On our arrival, they picked us up at the bus station and returned us there a few days later when we departed. The assistant came daily to give us bottled water, empty the trash and to see that everything was okay.

The laundry room is shared with the neighboring property which is also owned by Anita. When we were there, the neighboring property was empty, so we had the laundry room to ourselves.
