The breakfast is spectacular: the eggs - any type you want made by the chef. Pancakes and fruit juices “centrifughe”, prosecco, great sicilian desserts, croissants… Gluten free options. Spectacular views from the terrace. Comfortable beds, complimentary soaps and creams in the bathroom. As well as bottled water added daily. THE STAFF: can’t get any better than this: at reception and in the upstairs restaurant, and especially at the door. Sicilian hospitality at its finest. Location.
Nothing really. Perhaps I’d offer avocado at breakfast but I’m a spoiled millennial! If you prefer a slightly more modern (and younger) vibe, this hotel isn’t for you - the average guest age seemed about 60. But it didn’t bother us at all. On the contrary.

The place is simply amazing! The attention given to us were shown in little details that make this hotel a 5 star establishment. Bottle of proseco waiting for when you walk into your room from visiting around….little notes making you understand that they care about their customers and the staff is absolutely marvelous. The highlights is the restaurant on the top floor serving the best of meals all to a spectacular view of the sea and port.
The walls are not sound proof but that is too be expected considering the age and authenticity of this beautiful and original high class hotel.

Beautiful hotel in fantastic location. Breakfast was amazing and the entire staff were fantastic.
The hotel doesn’t have updated heat/air system. In March, the heat is still on for the building, which makes sense. However, our room was very warm for a good night sleep. We could open the window, but the noise outside was very loud starting at 3 or 4 am. There is nothing the hotel can do about it, it’s just how it is. Lovely hotel and staff.

Everything! It was beautiful and in a great location! Breakfast was delicious and fresh every day. Service in the restaurant was fantastic.
We only had one issue with a cab being called and were misquoted pricing by a woman at the desk. The driver then gave us a different price once the ride was completed. Then the hotel did not do anything about this once brought to their attention. Very uncomfortable experience. We did not use their services to book anything else.

What a fabulous hotel in a great location. Very traditional, antique style furniture and surroundings. Room was very comfortable with a sea view. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, from Fortunato the Porter, who met us at our car and carried our bags into the hotel and offered to take them to our room, Emmanuel who checked us in and escorted us to our room and the breakfast/ dining room staff. Breakfast was superb with everything you could wish for. Room and amenities were immaculate - even a small biscuit/cake and “Goodnight” note on our bedside table each evening. Small things that make a big difference.

The rooms were quite big, with a full sized tub and shower. The housekeeping staff is incredible. They did a great job and were very kind. The hotel itself is in a good location and is very comfortable.
The front desk staff were generally friendly but never provided much help. They would smile and be nice but always a bit aloof and not very interested in genuinely solving a problem or providing advice. It's hard to describe exactly, but we felt a bit like they didn't think we were rich enough to spend much time on. The dinner was extremely overpriced and easily the worst meal we had in Italy. They give you free bread and glass of champagne at the beginning, then inform you that everyone is expected to order at least two main dishes to cover the cost of the bread and champagne. I am vegetarian and there were not two vegetarian main dishes, which displeased the waiter.

The room was big, clean, elegant, and comfortable with a wonderful bathroom (spacious and well-equipped). It had a good bed with good pillows. The location was amazing, close to everything you need to visit in Siracusa. It felt safe to walk around both day and night. The staff was very kind and professional, especially the team working in the restaurant. The parking was easy and convenient. The hotel has a big terrace with a view of the coast, and breakfast is served there. The experience is incredible. You can also have some cocktails there at night. The breakfast offers infinite possibilities of what to eat with great quality. The hotel has a private beach that opens in July and August.
The air conditioning worked, but it could be stronger. In the room next to where we stayed, there was someone with bodyguards, and the bodyguards were outside the room all day watching the aisle. It was very uncomfortable because we said hi to them, and they didn't respond. The private beach should be open in mid-June. The weather is hot enough to make it necessary.

All Staff we met were charming and very helpful and the room was extremely clean. Breakfast and coffee all excellent quality. Served on lovely rooftop bar/restaurant with a great view of the beautiful place and the sea. The lounge areas were spacious and quirky with books about Sicily to look at. The location was great, sea front and everything easily walkable. A lovely town with plenty of things to do, eat and drink. Thanks we had a great stay!
I think we had a standard room, so possibly others are different, but it felt small and a bit cramped. There was an upper mezzanine level with a sofa, TV and a small table (with lace Doily), but we didn’t need that. The writing desk and fridge would have been better up there in my opinion, and would feel more spacious around the bed. The decor was quirky, 1980s art deco style, a bit like what I imagine to be a good cabin room on the Titanic. Bathroom was also cramped, the fuss pot in me noticed a few chips in the bath and a couple of rusty screws, but shower had decent power to it.

Loved the quirky mix of old and new furnishings and art. Staff were great and so was the food. Beautiful outlook. Very comfortable room and facilities.
There's no need for all the deodorises in the rooms and hallways. Just fresh air from the seaside is all that is needed. Didn't love the artificial flowers. I understand fresh flowers are hard but the vases were beautiful enough without flowers. This isn't a fault just a preference.

Great location
The suite was quite expensive and very strange layout - a mezzanine area that was accessed by narrow staircase and not really usable. Entry door opening into bedroom. The room itself was comfortable but the sea view was basically obscured by the huge curtains and hotel signage outside our window. Annoying when you lay a premium price for a product that pretends to at that level. Buying cocktails at the hotel rooftop dining area was THE most expensive we have paid in Italy, Spain and France for our entire trip!
