Great location within the center of Ortigia, bed was comfortable, and continental/buffet breakfasts were good (delicious fresh, self-squeezed orange juice - YUM).

Room had a musty/unpleasant odor. Difficult to communicate with staff due to our lack of Italian (our problem, not theirs!).

Xenia was a great place to stay for a few nights in Ortegia. Nice little property excellently located on the main shopping street (vs. a side alley) with easy walking access to all the main sites, restaurants, etc. We had a lovely corner room with balconies on both sides opening out to the main street. Very cosmopolitan! Nice breakfast provided until 10:00 am. I would stay there again. NOTE: 10:00 am is strictly and sternly enforced. At exactly 10:00, while we were enjoying coffee (our bags were all packed and ready-to-go) we were rudely run out of there like unwanted guests who had overstayed our welcome, literally pushed out the door into the hallway, with the door abruptly slammed behind us Too bad because it put a bad end to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The breakfast and the setting of the breakfast room was wonderful. This facility is in a residential building with high ceilings and tall windows. The breakfast room had tall glass doors open to a balcony overlooking the street. The room was spacious and full of light. Two sets of floor to ceiling glass doors to the balcony. The host was very responsive and helpful. She gave us lots of important information for our arrival. Parking on the island is particularly tricky. At their recommendation we parked in a lot just across the bridge and enjoyed a ten minute walk to Xenia.

We liked EVERYTHING. We would stay at Xenia again.

The B&B was a wonderful place to stay in Syracuse. It's right in the center and surrounded by restaurants and bars. Sebastiano offered us a transfer to the beaches, allowing us to reach everything without a car. Otherwise, Syracuse Central Station is a 20-minute walk from the accommodation. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of sweet treats. I can 100% recommend the B&B with a clear conscience! 😊

Rooms were very comfortable and had everything you need, toliteries, towels, hair dryer and a mini fridge. Essential for the wine and beer in the summer heat. Central to all amenities and touristy spots. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh coffee, juice, and pasteries. The room we had was fabulous with two balcony's. I really don't have enough praise for this little gem of a place and the staff and owner couldn't do enough. So 5 stars from me.

The room was beautiful and the balcony was great for soaking up the Ortigia vibe. The breakfast was simple but very high quality — there was one pastry I'll be trying to find again for some years. The place felt very secure, exclusive and well looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was a little hot (either the air con was a bit dodgy or we couldn't figure it out) and it was noisy outside — we found this quite atmospheric and you couldn't hear much with all the balcony doors closed. The b&b also provided us with earplugs, a very sweet touch

The room is very lovely and has a wonderful scent. Sebastiano was amazing, offering transport to the station and back and couldn’t be more helpful if he tried. He was always checking in to make sure everything was ok and if I needed any help he was there to offer it. He was a wonderful host. The property is very central so close to a lot of main attractions. All rooms have a lovely balcony also. Wide variety offered for breakfast.

Breakfast was cold cut meat and cheese (very good stuff), bread, sweet pastries, coffee machine, yogurt, accessories (olives, jelly, fresh fruit, etc.). It was all tasty and well laid out. The staff was VERY attentive, helpful and pleasant. The location itself, near the bridges into the island, was accessible (within a 10 minute walk) of all attractions there. It is within a block of a large COOP grocery store and the Archimedes museum.

The location was excellent and the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind. The breakfast was amazing, with a real effort to make it special and different each day for the guests. A lot of thought has obviously gone into the breakfast planning. It was our wedding anniversary and the manager presented us with a bottle plus champagne glasses as a gift! Enjoyed all of our stay, especially sitting out on hotel balcony.

The room was good quality with fridge, coffee machine, balcony, clean and tidy. The Xenia was very well run, very close to everything bars , shops, restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was as good quality as any that we have had in any hotel in Italy or Sicily and was varied and always replenished. All the staff are very friendly and very professional and take pride in what they do. Would recommend this establishment.
