We had a fantastic stay at L'Approdo delle Sirene. Our room had a balcony that faced the marina. We were in a great location in Ortigia; opposite the marina. close to restaurants and supermarket, close to historic centre and close to laudromat. The buffet breakfast was very good with seating on the terrace facing the marina. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends.

Parking is an issue if coming by car. The front of the hotel has a tow away zone but we never saw cars getting towed so we parked there if there was an opportunity. There is paid parking around the corner but we never used it. The hotel is in a ZTL zone so the hotel will help with registering your car.

The location is excellent, being so close to the bridge. You could never have any trouble finding your way back. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food options, not to mention the great outlook on the activities on the water. The king size bed was comfortable and the bathroom quite spacious. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is not a criticism of the hotel. We had an impression from our research that parking on Ortigia was impossible so arranged valet parking with the hotel. In fact, with a little patience we could have found public parking nearby.

Hotel location is wonderful - just over the bridge from the main part of Siracusa and next to the water. Staff were kind, and I especially appreciated that there was someone at reception most of the time. The room was comfortable and generally clean. There is a lovely roof-top terrace with a great view, and breakfast was very good.

The hotel is in need of a bit of maintenance. One of the blackout shades in our room couldn't be used, as the cord was broken. The shower is in need of a good scrub and de-crusting.

buffett breakfast was excellent, sat out on the terrace each morning looking out to ocean, room was excellent had a balcony however as no fly screens we couldnt leave doors open as the mosquitos overtook the room. Location of accommodation was great, central to everything

put flyscreens on the windows so doors can actual be left open, we opened door to balcony mosquitos invaded the room

The room was exceptional, and the best location. The views were just magnificent and the top terrace was available to use at any time, it had spectacular views over the harbour, yacht basin and canals, what a bonus!!! One of the best breakfasts that we experienced on out travels, great variety and excellent quality. We just loved our balcony that looked over the water. The access to the old city, to the top sightseeing spots and to the bus/train was just perfect. Highly recommended!

Exceptional staff; Daniel who was there when I was checked in was extremely helpful and professional. Also ensured my luggage was put in my room after it was ready. Later on Stefania was just amazing also. I had a huge problem with parking and she was so helpful helping me navigate the parking and THEN went above and beyond by saving me a spot in front of the hotel after I failed to get a space at the parking area. To top it all off, the hotel was AMAZING by providing me a premade breakfast for the next morning because I had to depart VERY early to turn in my rental car in Catania and then catch my early train! What an exceptional group of professionals; helpful, friendly, and always around to assist. Room was cozy and quiet, just what I needed for my early to bed and early to rise situation. Location was also top notch, just down the road from the Ponte Uberto I on Ortigia.

I chose this property mainly because it is near the bridge that leads to the bus stop, and since I know that I would be arriving late in the evening, I contacted them in advance and received instructions on how to check myself in. The hotel is in and old building but in an excellent location, rooms are clean and have everything I needed, including a balcony overlooking the water. And the staff was very helpful!

Considering the age of the building, there was not much that needed to be improved. Perhaps more vegetables at breakfast (which was otherwise very good).

Excellent location Staff was attentive and polite Breakfast was excellent. The canoli were divine. Nice to be able to have savoury breakfast included as well as sweet options for those that are not used to an typical italian sweet breakfast Rooms were really clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower has great pressure. Can't find any faults. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Good size room with comfy bed. Great location for exploring Ortigea with plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance. Good breakfast on the roof terrace with great sea view. We parked in the car park next to hotel which was quite expensive as there is extremely limited street parking on the island.

Beautiful old building beside the harbour , perfectly situated for exploring Ortigia or Syracuse itself . My wife and I were very happy here and hope to visit again .

Nothing springs to mind , we were at the side of the building and the view of the harbour was obscured by trees , for us not a problem but if you would like a harbour view ask for a room at the front of the building.
