This whole property is absolutely stunning on the inside, occupying one floor of Anna's family home. We had an absolutely lovely room, stylish and spotless with a nice balcony overlooking a wide street. Anna, the owner, is lovely and really made an effort to make our stay a good one. She advised us on parking and we were able to find a free space yards away from the entrance. We had our best breakfast here in 3 weeks of travelling Sicily in the cute little breakfast area. Location is great, just over the bridge from the atmospheric old town of Ortigia Not the cheapest B&B but very 'boutique' and in our opinion, worth that bit extra.

The B&B is in a great location. Our host, Anna was amazing - she sent us messages prior to arrival to let us know about parking and made several recommendations for food. There is free parking but it can get busy. The breakfast was tasty with fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, bread, cheese and meat.

The room smelt damp but it is an old building and perhaps we were one of the first guests of the holiday season. This would not stop me staying here again but just something to be aware of.

Perfect location. Two minutes to Ortigia Island. Many excellent cafes and restaurants just steps away. Delicious breakfast (sweet and savoury) and I loved that Anna had some little snacks and an excellent coffee machine (and coffee!), kettle (and teas) and microwave in the breakfast area that you could enjoy outside of breakfast time. Immaculately clean and very nicely decorated. Very spacious and comfortable room, bed, shower. Anna is a very hard working and lovely host. I would definitely stay again.

Calafatari advertises as a B&B, Thus, my ratings are based on truth in advertising. The place is great, I think maybe 3-4 rooms. Very comfortable. Easy check in. Absolutely, great location to the old Siracusa island area. A block from the bridge. Worth every cent. For us, as an added bonus, there is a laundry mat right across the way. We planned for this and washed our clothes in the evening. There is a cafe next door. You can enjoy a meal while your clothes wash. Big bonus for us to help pack lighter for a 2 week trip.

We loved our stay at Califatari! Anna was a wonderful host who made great restaurant recommendations and served a beautiful breakfast. The location of the inn is perfect- right over the bridge from Ortigia and easy walking distance to sites, restaurants and shops. Our room was sparkling clean and quiet and the a/c was strong enough to battle the intense Sicilian heat. The only tricky part was finding a place to park our rental car but we messaged with Anna before arriving and she helped us figure it out. Highly recommend!

Spacious room for 3 people. It was clean and the host, Anna went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast choices were varied and local. We were very pleased with everything. She helped with our luggage and even kept it for us after check out. The location is excellent.

The only consideration are the stairs to reach the property which is on the first floor. It can be an issue if you have trouble climbing stairs or have large luggage.

Anna, the host, was amazing. So helpful and made us so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were lovely, and used lots of local products. The accommodation was in a perfect position. Easy to get places. A nice area. We would definitely stay there again.

Really it was so good. There was a breakfast room so we got to talk to other guests sometimes. But she spaced visitors so you had the buffet to yourself when eating

Location was great! Right outside of Ortigia (5min walking tops), easily accessible by car and in an area where it is easy to park for free. The room was spacious, light, clean, and comfortable. In addition, Anna gave us great restaurant recommendations :) Bonus: One of the best places to have arancini is really close by!

Friendly and welcoming host. Excellent location. 10 minute walk into Ortigia. Very clean, modern rooms. Good and plentiful breakfast which varies daily. Molo Sant'Antonio car park is only 5 minutes away.

No dedicated parking and street parking is sometimes a challenge (especially if worried about damaging hire car)

Anna is a great host! Every day she provided us with a great breakfast (ham, cheese, foccacia, bread with olives, croissants with marmelade, riccota, pistaccio, fresh juice, cappuccino, little pastries) and some recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants! The room was very clean and modern, the bathroom and especially the shower was great and recently renovated! The bed was comfortable and the balcony was nice as well! It's also very silent at night and just 2 minutes away from the island Ortigia!
