Good location, very good breakfast, good price. TV and fridge (look in negatives) in room. Nice temperature all the time in spacious room. Nice personnel and reception communicate in English

I always make an opinion according to price of apartment. In this time apartment was very cheap, but it was much worse than similar in same price. It was a bit loud in room (sounds of wibrations like big wentilator working all the time, even after turned off Air condition and fridge). Apartment wasn't dirty as not cleaned (excluding ceramic toilet inside)- but there was a lot of mould - bathroom and in room. Also something white similar to white mould next to spare pillow in wardrobe. In fridge there was no minibar, only 2 water bottles, piece of aluminium foil and a brown stain. Also a broken shelf.

The photos were a bit misleading, but I would like to commend the owner, who was a true gentleman, friendly and extremely communicative. People like this should work in tourism, as he is an example of good practice.

I would like this energy to be transferred to his staff, who need a little more energy and responsiveness, considering that they are at work and we are on vacation. The criticism is for the purpose - so that they are aware that each of us, the guests, sometimes needs a bit of kindness and goodwill given the paid service.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coloniali Hotel, it was a home from home.. The bedroom was extremelly confortable, clean and spacious We could not faulted. The position was great been near to all the facilities.. bus coach few minuts away and ortigia island 5 minuts away. The staff receptionist and the lady who serves the breakfast I think is Paola were allways professional, freindly with a nice smile. Without doubt we highly recomended to stay at this hotel and we would go back.

Terrific location for exploring Ortigia. The staff was very helpful- to the point of giving us their parking spot so we wouldn’t have to search for parking! The room was spacious and nicely decorated with colonial styled furniture. It was terrific to have coffee and a little breakfast available before setting out each day. Great value for money, we’ll definitely return if traveling there again.

It could have been cleaned a bit better (dusty under bed, stray hairs, and I had to clean the sink’s drain to get the water to drain)

For one night it was perfect, however for more than one night I wouldn't book it. Room size was okay - maybe a bit small. It was about 15 minutes walk away from Ortigia. Breakfast was rich and tasty.

There was no view. The area looked dodgy and dirty, I'm not sure I would go there alone. For one night it's good, however it's a small and dark room, for more night I wouldn't go there.

Clean and comfortable room with en-suite, perfect for my one night stay. Good breakfast in the smallish room (or sheltered seating outside). Host was friendly and welcoming and allowed me to leave my bag after check-out until I left for my train. Reasonably well located between the train station, town and Ortigia island

Property located in a drab back-street. Too many emails both before and after my stay, even though I had completed the advance registration requested.

breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. very close to bus station and the hop on hop off bus which was a great way to see the town. to walk to Orteiga was very convenient. Hotel representatives were very nice! Quite helpful in getting us around the area.

No lift! Small hotel and luckily our bags were small.

Everything was perfect, and I was completely satisfied with my stay. The staff were nice and polite. I especially appreciated the spacious bathroom and shower. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the location was very convenient - right next to the train station and just a 10-15 minute walk from Ortigia.

Front desk was very helpful and available for a late check in. Breakfast was sizable and varied. Free street parking was available across the street for easy access to the downtown of Syracuse and Ortigia. The hotel wasn't fancy by any means but extremely excellent quality for the price. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is small but comfortable. The location is not the nicest but it’s not too far from Ortigia or other places of interest in Siracusa such as the Neapolis park. Staff is friendly, breakfast is decent, and the room is tidied up every day.

The furniture needs some attention.
