Staying at this hotel was a real pleasure, especially because of the amazing breakfast with a great selection of fresh and tasty products. The coffee was rich and high-quality, which is rare to find. Additionally, the friendly and helpful staff made us feel truly welcome!

The weather was so unpredictable that I started to suspect March was having an identity crisis and thought it was November. If clouds and rain were tourist attractions, this would have been the most intense trip of the season!

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel Mediterraneo, communication with the staff at the hotel was brilliant even when we updated that we would be an hour or two late on the check in time we had provided. The room was lovely and bed very comfortable with ample space, as we were in the family room with two of us. Parking for the hotel is very easy outside on the road and free or a short walk from the hotel there is a paid car park. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful with it being available at a good time of the day for sightseeing. The hotel is ideally sited very close to all the places to visit in Syracuse all within walking distance. As a final point I have to say we thought the staff in the hotel were really lovely and nothing was any trouble for them. We stayed for one night only put would happily use this hotel for longer in the future.

There really wasn't anything that we didn't like about this hotel, we had a perfect stay! Thank you

The hotel is old but has an aristocratic air that makes it an interesting experience. We like the position of the hotel and that we found a free place on the street nearby to park the car overnight. The buffet breakfast was very good and fresh, with toast, ham, cheese and fruits, a surprise for a breakfast in Italy. At check-out, the manager accepted our request to leave our luggages for a few hours at the reception. Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel.

For drinking, the hotel provided bottled water in the room. There is also tea in the room, but the tap water in Syracuse is too salty so the tea tastes bad. This is not the hotel's fault, but I think it's worth mentioning.

It is a classic hotel and the hotel room also have a same classical style. The location is good, it takes 10 minutes from bus station and also from the Ortigia island. The staff are really kind and helpful. You can use a tea maker in the room, which is really usful. The breakfast is a really good one, there are many options and delicious, highly recommended.

The bathroom is cold a bit and the the water in the shower is difficult to drain. The bed was uncomfortable and creaky when you turn.

The location is perfect and easy to find parking. A good value for money.

The lift only arrives to first floor so it is not comfortable for who has mobility problems. The breakfast server wasn't very friendly at all. Never dropped a smile and always looking at us badly. I do understand that she was working alone during breakfast time and the hotel was full but her superiors should send help to her as we didn't feel welcome at all. It is not our fault that coffee and milk she has to do for everyone apart from serving breakfast.

Very spacious room, bathroom. Our room was on the third floor, which could only be reached by stairs. We didn't have a problem with it, the ramp was a very cozy solution. The room always smelled very nice, we can smell it on our clothes 2 days after arriving home. Siracusa came with us a bit. :-) All members of the staff are very kind, smiling and helpful. The breakfast is delicious, with freshly brewed capsule coffee. Although after 4 days it was a bit monotonous, there were always freshly baked croissants, cheese, ham, salami and fruit. The accommodation is in a very good location, halfway between the bus/train station and the island of Ortigia. Restaurants nearby, a divine bakery. We had a great time, if we go there we will stay here again.

It seems that this hotel has seen better days. It needs renovation here and there. But the bed was comfortable, a small fridge did its job. It was cleaned daily, so the soaking stains on the wall and the carpet pole moving out on the stairs did not affect our good experience. We had a good time, so what we didn't like was compensated by the kindness and the price/value ratio.

Excellent location close to the train/bus station, close to good and affordable restaurants and ice cream, about 15 minutes on foot from the archeological sights to the north and the old city to the south. Delicious breakfast buffet included as well as free water bottles 1 per person per day (since the tap water in the city is a bit salty) and friendly service. We somehow got the room for disabled people on the ground floor, which we didn‘t mind at all. It came with a spacious bathroom, and very quiet. There was also a hairdryer and an electronic kettle with free tea. The price in March was also great at €43 per night for a two bed room (+ €3 taxes). So everything perfect, will gladly stay there again.

The hotel is a nice small family size hotel, with great experience of being in a comfy, good and well located hotel in Siracusa. The rate included fresh breakfast every day, had nice small lobby to stay. Room was spacious and being in January all worked fine- was warm, had excellent hot water, was clean and even had a fridge in my room. When I needed anything extra reception was always eager to help.

I liked it all.

Good location for train and bus travel The breakfast was really good in that it was not just a sweet Italian styled typical breakfast . Friendly check in staff. Linked to a restaurant a few meters away that served a nice lunch and got a discount as hotel patron. Overall would stay again for an overnight stay.

The lift only goes part way up floors, so poor staff had to help lug up suitcase. The lift also played up unexpectedly and doors woukd bot open and no power for about 5 minutes. Also at breakfast one female staff member got very cranky at patrons, she seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people at the same time. Fortunately another staff member came along and was calmer and more professional.

We were met by a super friendly guy who welcomed us and gave us useful guidance about parking. Security is good as you need a keycard for the front door. It's a lovely building, beautifully decorated. The location is great - just by a large and manned (i.e. secure) car park and just ten minutes walk from the main sights in Ortigia. The room was a good size, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and plentiful.

Nothing to dislike - it was perfect.
