Nice immaculately clean hotel in an excellent location for walking to Sorrento. Staff were very nice and breakfast was a nice selection of breads, pastries, ham cheese and fruit in the morning. We had a nice room with a large balcony facing the pool. The pool area was nice with a small bar that served lunch if required. Swim up bar stools were a nice touch and the hotel provided towels for the pool. Loungers were comfortable.

We had a first floor room and although the room was lovely but we could hear all noise from kitchen/reception from about 6.45 every morning so would advise asking for a room on a higher floor. Rooms also lacked storage, no wardrobe just a rail and no drawers at all. We had a triple room so ended up just laying our clothes on the third bed. Also if you are looking for a quiet pool in this small hotel, this one is not for you. The pool allows local residents to use the facilities so has a lot of children and families. This did not bother us but it is worth keeping in mind. if you are checking out late, they ask you to pay 20 euros per person to use the pool and loungers on the last day which I feel is very mean considering the cost of your stay.

The location was very good. The cleanliness and standard of décor throughout the hotel, was exceptional. The staff for breakfast went above and beyond and were very attentive. The reception staff were also extremely polite and helpful. All in all this is an extremely good hotel and I would fully recommend. The breakfast, although continental was very good.

There were no issues with our stay, but would like to point out a couple of things so other potential guests are aware. The fact there are no towels placed on beds in a morning is very good, however this hotel is open to locals/holidaymakers that are not stopping at the hotel. The locals definitely had their names on some beds and you were refused them if you asked. We never had an issue getting a bed, but there were days it was very busy due to the extra people allowed in that wasn't stopping there. Just one other thing, was drinks in glasses were allowed around and in the pool.

Hotel Leone was a lovely property located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento. The rooms were clean and reasonably sized, with ample storage for our belongings. As others have already mentioned the bed was harder than what we are used to, but this didn’t prevent us from getting a good nights sleep. The only additions I would suggest were hooks to hang the towels up, and a couple of glasses. We bought a bottle of wine and drinking it out of paper cups was not ideal. Breakfast was more than adequate with a variety of foods to choose from. The pool area was ideal and the bar restaurant served a good selection of food and drink which was reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and overall we were pleased it’s our stay.

After checking out we were not allowed to use the pool area unless we payed €20 each for the privilege. This is down to the fact locals can pay to use the pool and I assume the hotel would rather have people paying to use the pool than guests who have left. Our flight was not until late evening and staying by the pool would have been ideal for us. In all my years of travelling I have never been to a hotel that wouldn’t let you use the facilities after checking out if your flight was late.

Hotel Leone was the ideal base for our 4 day stay in Sorrento. The location is fantastic, an easy walk from the bus and train stations, from the centre of town and also from the Port though the uphill to get from the Port requires moderate fitness. There is a self service laundromat very close by (1 minute walk) and a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away. The hotel is extremely clean, breakfasts are lovely and the staff friendly. The pool is perfect for lounging, cooling off and relaxing, the staff help with towels and organising your lounger. The rooms have a small balcony with a table and chairs. I would highly recommend Hotel Leone and would definitely stay there again.

The only suggestion is to have a note in the room advising guests that the air conditioning doesn’t work unless the window is closed and latched.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was very clean and it feels newly renovated. The pool in the yard is amazing and available for all guests, which we really enjoyed. The location is perfect just a 5 minute walk to the old town and Piazza Tasso, yet the street itself is quiet and peaceful. Our room overlooked the mountains and had a cozy balcony, which made the stay even more special. The beach is only about a 12-minute walk away, but on days we didn’t feel like going, the pool was a great alternative. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and breakfast had all the important options covered. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully maintained hotel, located just a short three-block walk from the heart of Sorrento. Our accommodation was in the newest room on the property, which featured an expansive balcony equipped with a dining table and four chairs, two sun loungers, and a private jacuzzi that comfortably fits three people. The main bedroom was thoughtfully designed, offering a queen-size bed, generous drawer space, a refrigerator for beverages and leftovers, and blackout blinds that effectively minimized both noise and morning light. The dressing area included dual sinks and ample storage, while the spacious shower was designed for two, featuring two separate shower heads and a consistent supply of hot water. The living room provided additional comfort with a queen-size pull-out sofa, plenty of storage, and a secure safe for valuables. Every member of the staff was exceptionally courteous and genuinely committed to ensuring we had an enjoyable experience. The breakfast offerings each morning were varied and satisfying, adding to the overall excellence of our stay.

Location excellent only 12 mins walk to Ferry port and using lift to go down.. only 10 mins to Train Station Very clean Hotel Breakfast was buffet and ok. Staff were nice. Jacuzzi area in each floor and loungers were great. Elevator was easy to access. Bathroom was well equipped and Towels were plentiful and replaced daily.

The Pool - was very shallow & then extra deep at other end. Pool bar area was not used at all and would make more sense to have better bar facilities in Room by Reception area where guests could have a drink by evening or night. Pool area could do with Pots of Flowers or Colour to improve. Rooms were basic with very little storage area. Space could be better used to have drawers by bedsides or Storage under dressing table which had no purpose with an empty space.

Loved the location, very close to the city center. Also loved the convenience with the pool and pool bar where you could order cheap and well tasting food. Also the straff was very kind and serviceminded. Having a balcony towards the street also meant we had some entertainment watching Italian parking and driving skills. Being able to do some day trips and then take a day to relax at the pool was really perfect. Would love to visit again.

Soundproofing was very bad. Also we got some dirty sheets the first day. And the bed was very flat and hard.

Close to the city center, the main street is just a few minutes walk. Private parking; garden – so it is very close, you can take out sg from the car anytime, etc.

Terrible interior soundproofing! Like the neighbors would be in our room. A preliminary itinerary would be very helpful, cause the navi wants to bring you in a 1.6m wide street – or you can move on the other street, where the attached sign welcomes you.. I suppose this width causes that the street is very popular for motorcycles, which are very loud. One of the receptionist is not in the reception area in the 30% of the time. Short bed. No hangers in the bathroom. Air conditioner starts when you go out from the room. If you do not want daily cleaning, you need to tell it to the receptionist, because there is no sign in the room which you would put to the door handle; only a digital “do not disturb”, but it does not work after you leave the room.

Lovely clean hotel and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was ok with fruit, toast, pancakes, Han, cheese and eggs. Great the the hotel has parking which is prebookable.

The hotel pool was really overlooked, however for us this was not a problem as we ventured out every day. If I had one slight criticism was that not all tables outside were set up for breakfast and on all mornings I ended up sitting on an unmade table and got my own cutlery etc but not a huge problem. Definitely ask for a room overlooking the hills as these rooms have a lovely view.
