Is a is an incredible host and very friendly yet very professional. I communicated with her through whatsup and had no issue in check in. Note this is not a big hotel with reception always being there. It is better to communicate with the host (Isa) beforehand. The room was very clean. The size was ok. For one person is fine. The breakfast in the room is superb. The breakfast has variety of items. The location is very good. You can easily walk to the downtown and shopping area. I was attending a conference at a nearby hotel (<500m or 0.3 miles) and could easily commute.

The only problem was that the room was a bit cold. I messed with the thermostat (which is a bit complicated) and could it work partially (at least I was thinking it was working :) ) but still the room was cold at night. Isa (the host) couldn’t help either.

The cutest little bed and breakfast!!! We had a lovely stay at Melrose. The rooms were clean, and the bathroom was spacious. Breakfast was included every morning and we had the sweetest lady who brought our breakfast into our rooms and made sure we were well fed! One of the mornings we had to leave prior to the time breakfast starts to get served and she insisted to leave some breakfast in our room the night before so we could eat. There was a small language barrier between us but she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. The location is good, only a short 10-15min walk into the centre and bus/train station and there is a laundromat right across the road which was a godsend for us. Felt safe in the neighbourhood and there is a delicious restaurant right around the corner. Would highly recommend!

The exact location may be a little tricky to find but the host will message you the exact directions so you don't get lost - we had no issues with finding it :)

The guesthouse was very clean and the staff were excellent and very attentive. The bed was very comfortable and bathroom was perfect. Good value for money if you are looking for location. The air con worked very well. The staff organised an aiport transfer from Naples ans were great at communicating to us about this! We were arriving late at night and found this a great place to sleep over begore checking in to a larger hotel complex the next day.

The entrance for the guesthouse wasn't as expected. The guesthouse itself is a converted flat, but you get a key for the front door and a card fob for the guesthouse door and your bedroom door. That was the only negative, and it wasn't really a negative!

Very friendly greeting and super clean property. It was modern with enough storage. Very comfortable memory foam bed. Sun shine on balcony (that overlooked another hotels lemon grove) for earring delivered to room breakfast. Great correspondence prior to check in. It’s about 10 mins walk to the train and bus station, 5-10 to main piazza and 10-15 down hill to the port. (Be prepared for a steep climb back up) If you can’t afford one of the posh hotels in Sorrento this is a great option!

Not a problem but be aware this is part of an apartment block and not the easiest to find as no signs but with text messages we found it. Breakfast is delivered to the room between a chosen half hr time slot. Sometimes we got what we asked for other times it was a little random. Just lacking any fruit as an option. Staff can be a little loud when sorting breakfast and that did wake us daily.

The host Isa was absolutely wonderful. She couldn’t do enough for us, booked an amazing boat trip for us and was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Breakfast was tailored to the guests needs and lots of options. The location was absolutely perfect just a short distance to the Main Street of Sorrento town. We had such a wonderful time staying here. We cannot wait to return.

Just a minor detail, I assumed there was a pool at the property based on the photos, unfortunately this is in the sister hotel a few miles away which they do provide a complimentary shuttle to. Maybe this detail is somewhere on the accommodation description but it didn’t seem very clear and I just assumed by the photos that there was a pool at this property. However this detail didn’t dampen our stay, we didn’t use the shuttle service as we only stayed for a couple of nights, had we of stayed longer we probably would have gone on the shuttle to the pool. I think maybe this just needs to be a little clearer.

The owner is a very nice woman. She is a kind,welcoming woman. She gave us a map and explained rules about keeping the place secure. The bed is big and comfy. Little refrigerator and blow dryer,shampoo ,small kettle with coffee and tea. Cleaning service which was for free was nice. We didn't engage in the free breakfast as I'm a diabetic and everything offered had a lot of carbs or sugar but I'm sure the other guests probably liked the breakfast service. The location is close to shopping,dining,local food stores and bakeries, all within walking distance.

When taking a shower the water would leak out but they did provide a towel to help soak it up

The location was just outside the hustle of the town- an easy walk. The room was a comfortable and a nice size. The room was cleaned daily and breakfast was delivered to the room. Communication was excellent leading up to the booking, answering all questions and giving great instructions.

Interior noise was a little loud , but that can’t be helped as people will always be walking in/out.

Perfect location! In walking distance of everything! we visited the old town , piazza Tasso, the beaches and the marina. Staff were so lovely and helpful and a lovely breakfast of croissants, coffee and juice every morning. The room was bright and clean and close to so many restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would defiantly stay again. Sorrento is stunning.

No Negatives

Excellent location. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast provided each morning was a perfect way to start the day. Service for breakfast normally starts at 8am and the host provided it earlier 2 of our days as we needed to leave by 8am for our tours. This additional service was unexpected and appreciated.

The water pressure in the showers was terrible and my only complaint for this property.

The hotel was beautiful and felt very safe. Isa was very helpful and very kind, the beds and pillows were especially comfortable. Breakfast was served to the room at your requested time each morning. The room was spacious and very clean. I will be booking again for my best visit to Sorrento. There is also free use of a pool at the sister hotel. And the location was just an easy 5 minute walk from the centre of Sorrento. Thank you Isa! See you again
