Maison Kalea is a lovely modern property walking distance up the hill from the Sorrento train station. The colorful tile decor in the rooms and common areas is cheerful and bright making the whole space feel happy. The staff is helpful and attentive: we had a wonderful dinner at Baghni Delphino because Bianca was able to get us a last minute reservation. The private balcony attached to our room exceeded my expectations. Huge space and views. The breakfast buffet is also special with homemade cakes and different dishes each day.

Be aware that Sorrento is on a steep hill and Maison Kalea is up the hill from the beach, the ferry docks, and the main center of town. You need to be able to walk back up after your day or have pre arranged transport. We loved being up away from the noise and crowds of central Sorrento but it might not be for everyone.

Excellent location. Friendly staff, room cleaned every day to a high standard. Spacious with relaxing balcony and external communal areas. Would definitely recommend.

The breakfast was not the standard I had expected after reading the reviews. There were mornings where the breakfast items were not replenished. The hot food was not kept hot. Unfortunately I found the breakfast member of staff to be not very friendly. I would also have liked self service tea/coffee facilities in the breakfast area.

Lovely staff and great location about 10 mins walk to the main square but tucked away in a quiet road. We were a little disappointed as the photographs on Booking.com appeared to show a swimming pool, but actually there is just a hot tub in the patio garden, but as we had it all to ourselves it wasn't a major issue. The breakfast was buffet style but freshly cooked and a good selection and you are served great coffee!

Proper mugs in the bedroom instead of paper cups and an extra bin for the bedroom area otherwise all was great.

Location was good ,helpful staff decoration was bright and modern . No need for expensive taxi from airport bus transfer was 23 euros for 2 one way and 10 minute walk to was to hotel.

Nice to have outside jacuzzi although a little stained.Ironing faculty advertised but did not like to have to ask for it each day, should have been permanently in room. As reception closes at 8.30 pm make sure you have to access cards for entry in case one is left behind.

Hotel was lovely. Very bright and clean. Extremely pleasant staff and exceptional chef who went out of her way to cook vegan breakfasts for us!

Although location was good and quite close to the town centre, the walk down was very dangerous as there was no footpath. Very busy road. Would have been lovely is there was a small bar in the outside area and it was done so nicely and would have been pleasant to sit outside.

The staff were exceptional especially Maria the cook who looked after breakfast every morning. She was so helpful and accommodating even offering to drive us in her own time to the nearest laundromat (we just walked).

Nothing they could do but the hotel is next to a busy road and Sorrento is over run with noisy scooter so it was noisy if you wanted to sit out in the patio.

Nice location, close to the city centre, with two supermarkets in proximity. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, offering both salty and sweet options. The parking was €25 per day, but we did not stress at all about the car.

Too bad the jacuzzi was not working. The furniture is a bit outdated, but not a big problem. A hanger for wet clothes would be very useful to have a place to let the clothes from the beach dry.

Staff were very polite and knowledgeable. Breakfast was amazing. You can tell the person making it cared about her food. Our room was quiet and was exactly as described. We had great communication with the staff via WhatsApp. The patio area was very nice and relaxing. I like the security of the gate. Our beds were comfortable. We walked most everywhere. The hotel was in a great location.

The decor was beautiful and the outdoor patio area was very relaxing and inviting. The breakfast was delicious and the ability to custom order eggs and coffee was very nice.

The balcony I had was barely wide enough for one chair. I had paid for a Superior room and almost all of the other rooms had very nice balconies with a table and 2 chairs. I was disappointed that I could not sit in the balcony in the evening and see the city.

Staff support was superb. Kudos to Alessandra, Christiana and Margarita. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facility made us feel like it's our home...a nice homely feel.

Located about 10min walk from the town center. Taxi from the train station to the accomodation costs €20. It's walkable distance but with luggage and the cobbled stones pathways/roads, it's recommended to catch a taxi to the place.
